This guy Billy scheduled two appointments in a row with me, and did not show up both times. I had to leave work, adjust my schedule both times. He never bothered to text or call me, his phone went to voicemail, he just didn't show up. After the first time, he replied to me a day later apologizing, so I thought something must have happened and we scheduled another appointment. Same thing happened the second time. I tried to check in with him before the appointment, there was no answer. I left my office and went home to wait for him anywasys, hoping he'd show up, but he didn't. Thank god I found Billy! My husband accidentally tore down 2 blinds (I still don't understand how that is even possible) and I was left with 2 medium sized holes on the top of the ceiling where the blinds were drilled into and 2 window blinds on the floor. I found Billy through yelp after giving many telephone calls to window blinds repairman, handymans, contractors via the whitepages and getting nothing but their voicemails. I messaged Billy via yelp and he messaged back within a hour responding that he could do it and he didn't mind the trip to Coquitlam! He was even available the next day but I had to run everything through with my landlord before I did anything so we delayed it for another day. He was relatively prompt on schedule and had the ceiling patched and the windows blinds up in less than half a hour. Billy does have a minimum fee of 2 hours; however, I thought it was totally worth it for the half hour job given the amount of stress the issue caused us. I couldn't sleep without the blinds in our bedroom with the sun pouring in every morning so Billy was seriously a lifesaver. The only tiny complaint I have is that I wish I had found him earlier and that I got him to do some small little patches while he was still here! He was courteous, polite, and really friendly to work with. I would totally recommend him to all my friends and family for your next project or your next accident. read more

He never showed up and kept putting it off. He was the worst with his verbal abuse. I m wondering, who writes the four star reviews. If I did what these handy men do at my work, I would be fired. This guy drove me crazy! He came first day, did his job but it didn't finish. So he told me that he will continue the day after (sunday) . And the day after he didn't show up, his phone was closed. I thought maybe he fell asleep. Late afternoon he told me that a family matter came up and he would come monday. Than thursday, than the other monday, then the other week! One day he says, his father in law took his truck! One day he says his friend borrowed his ladder! So unproffesional! And he says these after he stucks you all day home! Billy helped me when I moved into a new basement suite. I wanted to change up the colour theme of the walls and change the blinds to curtains, so he helped with painting and blinds removal/curtain set up. He arrived in the timeframe he said he would, got the jobs done, kept me up to date with the finishing ETA, cleared everything up well after he was done. He was a cool dude and easy to talk to... he's younger than the handymen I've used before, so honestly with him it kind of felt like I was just inviting a friend over to fix my home. My interactions with Billy started out great and I was happy to have found a handyman. However, his work and professionalism slowly decreased with each task and visit. The most recent situation resulted in him asking for payment up front, then taking the shelves from me to complete. After providing Billy with payment and the shelves I spent the next 4 days trying to get the shelves back. When he finally had a "buddy" drop them off for me the shelves were improperly cut, poorly measured and did not fit. Last night I had to go to Home Depot myself and an associate there assisted me, to enable me to finish my project on time. Billy has not responded to any calls or texts in 48 hours and has not acknowledged returning the money that I paid up front, for the task he did not complete. I will be filling a BBB complaint as at very least I would like my money back for shelves that were never made. read more
