The Powel painting company under name of Tanja was the introduced by our builder as a most high end company and accordingly estimated the highest prices . After finishing the job and all invoices paid and cleared . When We moved in our new house we faced several unfinished / insufficients in painting as well. We sent email and she came accepted and took photos of all defects and promised to arrange sending his worker to fix the paintings . One week later to much of our surprize she claimed 2 invoices never seen and incorrect . We never expect such irresponsibility in the business. We all family are unhappy and having a bad feeling to see such cases while we have paid very expensive prices for painting and in total . read more

My husband is a man of few words. "Powell Painting is a High Quality Operation." I could not agree more, but want to elaborate. We survived the teen and school-age years much better than the interior of our house did. It was well overdue for a refresh 13 years after the last painting and our designer recommend Powell to tackle 2700 square feet up and down plus a 35 year-old popcorn stucco ceiling. I have to start with the ceiling (they did). It got planed and sanded, the HepaVac creating minimal dust with the crew painstakingly protecting all the floors, sealing doors and tidying up at the end of every day. Honestly such a worthwhile difference when it was done. Tanja the owner is very particular (more picky than I!) and has so much experience and good ideas, such as how to improve the worn look of our kitchen and bathroom cabinets. With a thorough knowledge of the best way to do things, best materials and best referrals (trades), she also offered great advice on colour and design. Her quote was comprehensive and accurate. Our painter (a drywall expert to boot) was easy to get along with, punctual, reliable, and so hard-working. On time and on Budget, everything was put back in order just as before. And the follow-up! Every detail attended to, they noticed little things to amend that we wouldn't have and ensured our absolute satisfaction. This company is truly Professional - Open, Honest, Fair, Considerate, Courteous, Friendly, Detail-Oriented, Careful and Precise. You cannot do better, stop looking. read more

Powell Review Tandem Construction of North Vancouver was undertaking a full renovation of our dated townhouse.  They hire only the very best subcontractors as their reputations depends on perfection of the finished product. It was no surprise to me that Tandem hired Powell Painters, also of North Vancouver, to do our painting.  Being a diligent homeowner, I had independently sourced painters for the job and also came up with Powell Hire Powell and you will benefit from their exemplary expertise and customer service.  They can assist with choice of paint colour and finishes. They return to the site in a methodical fashion to paint in an order of operations manner.  You, as home owner, benefit from techniques that Powell has learned over the years such as painting the insides of closets with a special super durable paint.  Painters are efficient and exacting in their work. Owner Tanja Powell.is a powerhouse and knows painting, public relations and how to run a very successful business. Powell's pricing is competite and their work superlative. Just make one call - to Powell. Small jobs and big jobs. Powell does it all. read more

Super happy with the service and professionalism of this company. Tanya was a complete pro when doing our estimate. Pricing includes everything, even super high quality paint (Aura from Benjamin Morris). The painters were on time, super professional, took care of everything - everything taped off, covered, protected. 1st coat on one day, 2nd coat on next day, they were so good, they finished early. When it came time to pay up, Tanya knocked an hour off the estimate (because her folks were so fast), and reduced the cost by a can of paint, presenting us with a bill less than the estimate. When does that happen! We highly recommend this company, especially after some meh and downright troublesome recent adventures we had with other service (renovations, plumber, electrical) companies recently - Powell Painting was light a night and day difference. We wish all professional home services companies were this good. read more

We had an indoor residential job, a couple of levels, stairs with high ceilings, a number of colours, etc. Powell earned their 5 stars. They were punctual, professional, diligent, thorough and mindful of timing (integrated with carpeting) demands and our family. In particular, they did a great job working around furniture and other obstacles. The crew was also very friendly and pleasant to have in the house. We would recommend them as a first-class organization, without reservation. read more

Cancels at the last minute when providing a quote. Not only cancels at the last minute gives a ridiculous reason for doing so. 1 star for dependability. With such a large job we need someone who is organized and can come in and get the job done without excuses and cancellations. Luckily there are a lot of companies out there to choose from. Just a heads up. read more

Tanja and her team were professional and trustworthy, and we love our freshly painted town home. Powell Painting painted our home from top to bottom and the detail is fabulous - walls were filled and sanded and the quality of the work was very high. All team members were pleasant to have around, helpful, respectful and hard working. Despite the disruption, we missed them when they left after two weeks, lol. Thank you Tanja and team - highly recommended. read more

Yes, I was pissed off and wrote a less than stellar review! However, due to the efforts of Robbie and Tanya my opinion has been reversed 180 degrees. Thanks so much for taking care of the problem which has been bugging me for 18 months!!! read more

We have used Powell Painting for many years now for all our painting needs. Tanja and her crew are extremely professional, trustworthy, punctual, honest and a true pleasure to work with. Although I know I will end up choosing Tanja for my painting jobs, I always get a few quotes just to make sure pricing is in line....and it always is. The quote is extremely detailed so you know exactly what your paying for. I KNOW the job will be done right with the highest quality paint and products as well as the highest quality workmanship. There are no student painters here. Tanja's crew are all master painters. And when your job is done, Tanja will come by to do a final walk through to detect any deficiencies that need addressing and to make sure everything is done to her standards, which are very high. A few years ago, during a renovation, our contractor had hired his own painter for the job. Well, that painter bailed at the last minute. The furniture was being delivered two days later and if the painting wasn't done, we were looped. I called Tanja and the next day she sent a couple of guys over to do the job. She even cleared out all the ram board and crap that the contractor had left. She really saved us. That's just the kind of person she is. Most recently, we had our house exterior painted. They did an absolutely fabulous job. From refinishing the wood soffits and making them look new again, to the precision of their painting, it looks amazing. I cannot recommend Powell Painting highly enough. read more

Powell painting was excellent. Tanja came to quote on a difficult foyer job. It has 18 ft ceilings. We needed bannisters painted, plus ceilings and walls. We received 2 quotes. The other company was too nervous about heights. Tanja is so trustworthy we actually asked her if she could take a house key and paint when we went out of town. It was so nice to return home from vacation to a completed project. We finally had the wow foyer we wanted. Flawless execution and top quality. read more

It IS as good as it gets. Within a day someone came over to our house within 2 days and provided us with a quote. The painters were there within a week because they had a cancellation for a larger job. I figured it would take them at least 3 days, they were done in 2! They did an outstanding job from start to finish. I've had bad luck with painters in the past - they were unreliable or overpriced - none of this with Powell Painting. Will use them again! read more
