I am a Star Alliance person. Because I was flying United out of Santiago, I went to the Latam lounge first. That one is beautiful. My brother on the other hand is not a Star Alliance person and couldn't get into the Latam lounge. So we walked over to the E terminal in search of a lounge he could get into. We found this lounge and they let us both in! Yay! It was quite a process, they take quite a bit of info from your ticket and passport to get in. It's also a little confusing because I don't know which airlines to is lounge parters with. There is no signage and it's right next to another lounge.
It's not as much of a luxurious entrance as the Latam lounge, but once inside, it's nice and modern. They have quite a few tables and chairs. It got a little busy, but not overly crowded.
The food was surprisingly good. They had chicken and rice in these big cafeteria style warmers. It wasn't a great presentation, but the flavor was better than most lounges I've been to. There was also cheese and tomato skewers, little crostini and sandwiches. They even had little empanadas. There were also some fruit and pastries.
For drinks, they had juices, coffee, soda and water. The Heineken bottles were in the mini fridge, but there was no bottle opener. And I think the wine was alcohol free. Boo.
The cleaning crew walked by frequently to clean tables and to bring out more food. It's a nice stop if you have a flight from Santiago. read more
