I went to this establishment because they were having brunch. I ordered the crab cake eggs Benedict, and the deviled eggs. The food was amazing I will definitely return because the owners were friendly and the chef came out to greet me and ask me how did I enjoy my food. Way overpriced and overhyped (especially the drinks!!) From the description of this restaurant, my husband and I expected upscale (not quite luxury) Louisiana food restaurant. When we walked in, we looked at each other like, Surely, this isn't the right place?!!! Then we saw the Prime XO logo behind the bar and realized that we were where we were supposed to be. The only way that I can describe the ambiance is that it looked like someone tried to turn a basement with a 1980's decor into a restaurant on a very tight budget. The patio was nice, but we had to sit inside due to the cold. It was the waitress's first night, but she was very friendly and as helpful as possible. The majority of the reviews were great so we decided to stay. We had Texas Street Wings, Gumbeaux, 5 cheese Mac N cheese and drinks. The food was mediocre at best. My husband had tea. I originally ordered a gummy bear shot from the menu which was $5. Great drink and decent price. I then asked for a double cranberry juice and vodka. When asked for my preference of vodka, I said Tito's. (It was listed on the cocktail menu.) I was told that they didn't have Tito's, so I just asked them to give me the house vodka. It was the absolute weakest drink I've ever received. I ordered a double because I wanted to warm up because it was so cold that night, but the drink tasted like there was absolutely zero vodka in it. I told my husband maybe she didn't hear me say double. He suggested that maybe it was because the glass was a tad bit larger than the usual cranberry/vodka glass, so I explained to the waitress that I would like another shot to add to it because it was a very weak drink. She didn't offer to have the bartender remake it, add extra vodka or anything that would've been good customer service. She did; however, bring a shot of vodka for me to add to my drink which made it taste like a normal cranberry & vodka. I really don't think that there was any vodka in it to begin with. Then we got our check....HOLY *#%! My original double cranberry n vodka (that I swear had zero vodka in it) was $20!!!!!!! (Their most expensive drink on the entire menu was $18, yet a supposed cranberry juice with double??? house vodka was $20?????!!!) The shot of vodka that I ordered to make my drink taste like a normal cocktail instead of just cranberry juice was $10!!!!!! So after tipping the waitress 15-20%, 1 bowl of gumbeaux, one appetizer, one side, one $5 shot, a glass of cranberry juice that was missing the double shot of house vodka), one shot of house vodka and a glass of iced tea, our total was right at $90. We left the restaurant swearing that we would never go back. The only reason I gave two stars was because our waitress was very friendly and she tried to be helpful for the most part. Also, the gummy bear shot was very tasty and it wasn't overpriced. I hate giving bad reviews, but I felt cheated when I left Prime XO. I can't remember ever feeling that way leaving any other restaurant I have eaten in. Their website states that they're upscale and they describe some of their offerings as the finest in town. Party of 10. We walked in...they brought tables and chairs for us and handed us menus. NO BODY not one employee came back to even take our drink order. Went and got miss lady from the bar...she came over mad at us. After we waited an hour...told us the kitchen is now closed. I didn't argue with her cause her attitude was already noticeable irritate. Just bad experience. With the kitchen being closed can we order drinks at least? Just poor service. Sad I hope no one else has this experience. Staff is under trained in customer service. Ready to argue but I'm not the type of person. I'll just warn other people be prepared for a weird experience because I've never had this happen. Someone should have came and said something to us. I mean the guy brought us tables and chairs, he said someone will be right with y'all. That didn't happen. The bartender lady came over mad. No apologies for us waiting an hour. Had we not went to them they were NOT planning on serving us. I don't know what we did wrong. But again I will warn others be careful it's not a very nice experience or place. Really good food! Drinks were just right! Will definitely be going back! Went on a Saturday night and it wasn't too busy.

I never leave reviews but Im definitely going to leave one this time. Overall the service was ok could've been better. The drinks was watered down because they put too much ice in the small little cups, it also took too long to get the drinks, the food was so slow to come out but when it came out it was good. The music was a little to loud to where you have to talk loudly over the music. Our waitress took her eyelashes off and out then put them in her pocket as if we were not just sitting there talking to us. Then she continuously disappeared for a while, as we were waiting for the tickets to check out. They offer Apple Pay as a payment option. I paid with Apple Pay and as I was leaving to get into my car a manager comes from behind me and asked me if I paid for my food because the black payment book was left on the table. She said I'm not trying to accuse of anything but in actuality you are... but did you pay your ticket? It was a $40 ticket and asked me for my receipt. I showed her the receipt. Why offer something if you can verify that the customer paid it. so overall I know they're just opening up but it needs a little more work. I will not return back. read more

We went there for dinner tonight and it was excellent. I had the shrimp and fries and it was delicious and iam not a French fry person but those were out of this world!!. My husband had cajun chicken Alfredo and that was delicious . Service was fantastic and drinks were wonderful. They open everyday at 5 and Sundays for brunch at 11. One of forneys best. Go there you won't be sorry!!! read more
