During the 'sale,' they couldn't brag more about their work and how they stand behind everything they do. Months later, we discovered that the 'brag' was necessary to close the sale because the facts were quite different. The price tag kept increasing as our project went on. There were only a few minor changes from the original project - but the final bill was significantly more than the estimate with no real explanation other than "that's just how long it took." Worse, though, was the follow-up. Once they had their money, warranty work was impossible to get from them. During the project, they had removed some big walls in our great room, put in some 20 can lights in the ceiling, replaced a ceiling fan, and more. There was a lot of work removing walls, cutting holes in the ceiling, and walking around in the attic atop the ceiling. When the ceiling in that area started cracking afterward, they claimed it wasn't their responsibility or fault. Every other contractor we spoke with - including our Moceri project supervisor (who had subsequently left Moceri), and the drywallers who were the subs on the original job - told us that, of course, the cracking was due to the Moceri job and Moceri should take care of it. Nevertheless, Moceri refused to do the repairs. We ended up paying a few thousand dollar to the drywallers who had been on the job to fix the cracks. Also, Moceri built us a brand new master bath shower from the ground, up. About a year afterward, we noticed that whenever we took a shower, the carpet in the adjoining closet (which they also built) got soaked. We wrote to Moceri (both Tony and Paul) on two occasions - describing the problem and asking for them to come look and propose a fix. What we heard in response? Crickets!! They completely ignored our contacts. Tony told me that he was getting out of the remodeling business because he was tired of having to deal with clients. That's completely understandable. When you overcharge and then fail to stand by your work, it is hardly surprising that clients would be upset. So to avoid customers, he told me that Moceri was going to just build new spec homes and sell them. Just remember, though, even new spec homes will have problems. And if you buy a new spec home from Moceri, let's hope they honor their warranty and are willing to stand behind their work. For us - that wasn't the case. Maybe you'll be luckier.

Moceri Construction turned out to be a big disappointment…read more We hired Moceri for an extensive renovation on our custom home. While the quality of the workmanship was generally very good, it became increasingly clear that the company was seriously overextended. Weeks-long delays with no one on site were common: These delays also seriously inflated the timeline and cost of the project. (For example: There was extensive scaffolding on site for nearly 8 months, when 2-3 months would have sufficed.) The departure of three key employees - including our project manager - compounded issues to the breaking point. After 20 months of on-again off-again work, Tony Moceri tried to put off the last 2 weeks worth of work until the summer of 2020.. even though he previously said he'd finish the project in the fall of 2019. When pressed on that point, he simply quit the project. Not only would he not finish the project, but he declined to honor some relatively minor warranty work. His dad Paul sent a carpenter to fix a couple of small things, but not everything - our brand new back steps are still sinking, but Moceri declined to make necessary repairs on those. Bottom line: Moceri does not finish what they start. They played us long enough to extract the big bucks, and then left us hanging - we had to hire another contractor to finish their work. We should have held back a percentage of the total job - but we trusted them. Our mistake, apparently.

He Just Blew Me Off For Five Months…read more I am a single woman looking to get my bathroom and bedroom remodeled. I called Dreamaker in early January wanting to set up an appointment to come out and give me an estimate. A man named Ron Faber called back and came to my house to evaluate the job then sent me an estimate on January 18th and I decided to hire this company to do the work. He said he would call next week but never did. When I emailed him on Feb 8th to see why there was a delay, he said one of his carpenters was out and apologized. He asked to come by and re-measure on February 12th which I agreed to then he made an appointment for me to come into the office and make decisions about what I wanted for hardware and cupboards and countertops on February 19th at 10:00 in the morning. When I got to the office, he was not there but I made the decisions with one of the women who work in the office anyway. On March 7th he emailed me that there was a fiberglass shortage and my remodel would be delayed until June. I thought that was weird but agreed to wait. On April 24th, I emailed him because I was trying to figure out my schedule for the coming months and he told me that actually, they would tentatively be able to start May 21st and he would call me next week. Next week came and went with no call and the week of May 21st came and went with no remodel. I emailed him on May 30 to tell him that I don't want to do business with him and his company because he is not a man of his word and I was obviously not a valued customer. I don't recommend Dreamaker for doing a remodel. Ron Faber just blew me off and I was stupid to waste five month of my life waiting for a company that obviously didn't value my business.

I was also impressed owner Mike showed up exactly on time for his bid, then he and his crew arrived every morning precisely on the dot to paint the outside of our house. They also cleaned everything up at the end of the day, which isn't always the case. Our double front doors and patio door are SW Quixotic Plum, a deep purple/black that looks like the color of a ripe plum, but over the past seven years they'd faded to more of a purple. The original had been sprayed in the door shop during construction, and I was resigned to seeing brush or roller marks, especially around the large, metal trimmed glass doorlite inserts, but they now look better than the original. I thought I was a perfectionist. Then I met Mike. I could not recommend him more highly. He even assured me his carpenter said a high, upstairs window didn't have dry rot, as I'd worried about, and saved me money for labor and materials I'd been prepared to pay for. Oh, and as a bonus, he and his crew are super nice!
