I made the mistake of hiring this company for a kitchen renovation. Very simple actually as we…read moregutted it. Once the appliances arrived (4 month wait due to pandemic) they began. I was quoted a time frame of 2 weeks to complete the job. I assumed 3-4 weeks but that wasn't even close. They did not show the first day as Sam (owner) had told me the wrong day. The demo was completed in less than 1 day & subfloor was prepped. There was a 4 day delay as the tile I had chosen was the wrong color under my homes lighting. Flooring installed perfectly although there was a 2nd delay as not enough tile was ordered. Several times during the first 2 weeks the guys would tell me they would return the next day & did not as Sam would send them elsewhere without letting me know. After more than 2 weeks the cabinets were delivered to my home, on a Saturday with no advance warning. I received a phone call to advise me they were on their way but I wasn't home. Late in the afternoon they left the cabinets in the garage (I gave them garage code). They did not return for several days. Finally, the cabinets were installed although a few were missing. A week later Sam came to my home to make a template for the countertop & backsplash. I was advised that the counters & backsplash would be installed in 2 days. 2 weeks later the countertop was installed. The backsplash needed to be recut as it didn't line up. We were delayed another week as I was supposed to get a double sink & they did not have one. 10 days later they returned with the backsplash. Again there was a problem, specifically where the hood was to be installed. 1 week later they returned & had the same issue. During all this time when NOTHING was done, the oven & dishwasher could have been installed, the cooktop hooked up & the pipes under kitchen & bathroom sinks could've been installed but weren't. After more than 10 weeks I stopped by the shop (not the 1st or last time) & asked Sam to just give me the sink trap for the bathroom & I would install it myself. Sam assured me that the crew, who was coming later that day would install it. They did not. They did very little in the few short hours they were here. About 1 week later, after no one showed up to do anything I received a call from Sam at 10 AM. He advised me that the guys had just left & would be at my house shortly. At 3 PM I called to inquire as to their whereabouts. Sam assured me that they would come even if it was at 7 PM to complete the job. No one showed up. The next morning I went to see Sam. I was understandably livid as this was not the first time they had stood me up. I absolutely raised my voice several times as I was frustrated. We were at 11 weeks. That's 11 weeks without a kitchen. 11 weeks without a bathroom sink. 11 weeks of eating out when it rained as I can't grill in a rainstorm. The guys did show & work that day. Then we went another week of them not showing up. Finally, after 12 weeks I had a functional kitchen. Not finished though. There is a 1" gap between the cabinet housing the wall oven & the wall. The counter goes past the doorframe as does the cabinet molding. The dishwasher was not installed correctly & will not drain. One drawer is not installed correctly & will not close fully. They did not paint the ceiling. The baseboards were not put back in the right places, brand new painted baseboards were thrown out while old ones were put in. I have 3 cracks/dents in the driveway from the dumpster sitting there for nearly 11 weeks. I provided (they did not have the correct color/style/size although it was in the original contract) 2 sinks, 1 toilet, 2 faucets, knobs (I had to provide & install the knobs since Sam never bothered to get them), under cabinet lighting & will need to get a plumber for the dishwasher, a carpenter for the cabinets & Lord knows I will have to live with the counter in the doorway. You would think after 12 weeks the kitchen would be perfect but it's far from it. Do yourself a huge favor by not hiring this company. Please note that the work done by the guys actually doing the construction was great. 99% of the problems were caused by a lack of communication from the owner.

But let's start on a very positive note on what they did very well: They came out to my parent's house to remove fire and water- soaked drywall, carpet, etc after a small fire in the living room. The setup fans, and an air scrubber which helped with the smell and certainly helped dry things out. That was on 1/3/20. The scope of work (sheetrock, painting, light electrical and plumbing and carpet) really should have taken no more than four working weeks max. There was a necessary gap for a gas insert fireplace to be installed, and the timing of that, alas, was right when Covid exploded. Fireplace was installed on 3/18. Fast forward to late May I check in with John to see if he can get a crew over to knock it out and it was just excuse after excuse: Other jobs he was working on, personnel issues, supply chain issues which frosted me because by all rights we should have been his first job once things opened up. We just weren't high on the priority list. He finally got things going again in mid-July. As for the quality of the workmanship, I'd say use them for their cleaning and smoke remediation services and take a pass if there is ANY construction that has to be done--take a look at the attached pictures. Sloppy hack work cutting outlet openings in the drywall (had to go and buy oversize plates to cover the gaps). The upstairs room was painted well, but paint oozed down between some crack and dripped down over the dark wood in the living room. Two of the electrical outlets they installed did not work--they never even tested them...no covers also on those and light switches. Asked John to ask his guy where they might be and was ghosted. Electrician came out and $500 later we're back in business. They did plumbing work also and I hate to think how that will hold up. I asked John and gave him the old mantle above to fireplace and asked for him to replicate it. He said he could do that, but then his man just gets some cheap ass molding from Home Depot at does his own thing! Yeah, it's functional, but it just looks like hack work. And lastly the carpet: John subbed this out and the guys who did the work were not anywhere near the professional level of John's guys. Discussions of a friend getting out on parole was one snippet of conversation I caught--not cool. There were spots of glue they left on the carpet that I had to clean up and they had no vacuum to clean up the mess when they were done--really? It's just all so disappointing. If you do choose to hire these guys you need to be there 100% of the time and be prepared to say NO when the corners start getting cut. I was a fool and extended an enormous amount of trust--never again.

Since the home is only two years old, I didn't feel comfortable trusting just anyone with the repairs. After looking into several options, we contacted a company called 1800 Water Damage. We wanted the work done quickly before any mold could develop. Even though it was a Sunday, which I thought might make things difficult, the owner, Eddie, came out right away. After meeting him, I decided to move forward with their company. They immediately began a full drying process in all the affected areas. After three days, they confirmed everything was completely dry through testing and then proceeded with the repairs. The entire process was completed much faster than I expected. Thanks to Eddie, everything was handled professionally and to my complete satisfaction. I truly appreciate the quality of work and service I received. Hopefully, I won't have to deal with something like this again, but if I ever do, I will definitely reach out to 1800 Water Damage and ask for Eddie owner. Highly recommended.

I had no idea where the water came from, but I found this company on Yelp and Eddie was prompt and thorough. It was a leak from the boiler that went under a wall and started spreading mold. They removed everything that was wet and dried everything out. Now it's fresh and new.
