Not sure what parking lot they get their employees from but they did more damage than the simple job that I hired them to do. I should have posted this back in 2024 (it is currently 2026) when this issue occurred to help you Yelpers but didn't want to impact a legal recourse. The job I hired them to do was to take out a roof ridge vent and replace with regular roofing ridge shingles and install an attic fan, that was all. Did not need 7 employees hanging out on my roof. I had to yell up to them that taking the chimney apart was not included in this work so they bent the aluminum capping back half ass. They did not even replace the ridge vent shingles correctly or enough therefore left exposed nail holes from removing the ridge vent shingles. The photo (see my photos) of this job shows the light of the sky that you can see through one of the holes from the INSIDE of my attic. When complaint was presented to the owner I was told that the holes are too small to let rainwater in!! They also cut the ridge vent shingles right on my existing roof without a cutting board therefore slicing up the existing roofing shingles. The attic fan was the wrong one installed which was a cheaper version. Wouldn't you check the item to insure it was the correct model BEFORE installation?!? Proven contractors also conveniently gave me an additional estimate for $$$$ thousands more to fix the damage that THEY caused. Also owner of this company is very curt and dismissive when approached with the complaint. This company was a never-ending NIGHTMARE so if you hire them you better have knowledge and be the supervisor yourself.

My biggest concern was that this is a summer home so we were not around a lot to supervise. I was pleasantly surprised that they showed up when they said they would, and kept to their timetable as closely as possible. Mike installed my roof in 2017 and provided a 10 year warranty, which is still active. Recently, I had a major roof leak. His crew attempted a repair, but the leak became worse. A second roofing company inspected the issue on 9/9/2026 and identified clear workmanship problems: * The roll flashing was not tied into the second layer of shingles, allowing water to travel between layers. * Water leaked through nail penetrations and caused interior damage. * One sheet of plywood was already soft, and more may be compromised. * The flashing was incorrect across the entire roof section, not just in one spot. This contractor took photos, provided a written report, patched and stopped the leak, and did all of this at no cost. He advised me to contact Mike and give him a chance to respond because "reputation is everything in the roofing business." I agreed -- and reached out to Mike multiple times. Unfortunately, communication with Mike was extremely difficult. Calls and texts went unanswered, visits were delayed, and there was no urgency even after I explained the extent of the damage and reminded him that the roof was still under warranty. The roof clearly needed major repairs, and I gave Mike every opportunity to take responsibility and address the workmanship issues. During our final phone conversation, Mike became verbally aggressive, yelled, used profanity, and even challenged me to a physical fight -- like a 12 year old in a schoolyard, despite being a man in his late 60s. My wife recorded the exchange because his behavior was so unexpected and alarming. His conduct was unprofessional, hostile, and emotionally unstable -- not what any homeowner should ever experience from a contractor. I am a senior Army officer, and in all my years of service and civilian life, I have never been spoken to with such disrespect, especially by someone hired and paid to perform a service. After that exchange, my wife and I decided it was best not to allow Mike to do any further work on our home. This decision is costing us additional money, but his behavior left us no choice. We hired a different contractor who has already begun addressing the workmanship issues and damage. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Mrank Roofing LLC. The workmanship problems, lack of communication, and aggressive behavior speak for themselves. Homeowners should proceed with extreme caution.

Today, 10 days after they never responded after I gave my address, while in the middle of a meeting, I hear a bang outside and my dog freaks out. I go outside to find two men with a ladder against the front of my house and climbing to the roof! I had no idea they were coming and they were fully on their way to climbing up my house without my permission! The problem wasn't even on the roof, so I have no idea what they would have done once they got up there. When I messaged the company to say I didn't appreciate them coming unannounced and unscheduled, I was told it was my fault for not specifying that I expected a call before they showed up! Wild. Do NOT send this company your address--even for an estimate--or else they may randomly show up to your house and climb up on your roof unannounced and they will go up there whether you are home or not. I have found Marcy the owner is to be straightforward and honest, and though she can be a bit brusque at times, as she is in the Philadelphia roofing business I can understand. Their pricing is reasonable for quality of work. No roofer is cheap and if you apparently find one, don't trust them. We have a complicated roofscape (skylights, large AC unit mounts and penetrations, and major crickets required to clear drainage obstructions) and some leaking problems that predate our ownership. Castelli, and particularly their foreman Jimmy, have been generous in attending to drainage problems that may or may not have been a result of their work. I appreciate their work and the efforts made to help us negotiate our finicky roof.
