Todd asked me a few questions over the telephone and said he was very busy but it sounded like it was something he could squeeze in the next morning so I wouldn't have to go without power. He showed up exactly on time and immediately put me at ease. The problem turned out to be a bit trickier than originally guessed but he worked quickly and calmly and had it solved and fixed within the hour. His professionalism and calm intelligent manner was very welcome in a stressful moment and I was very impressed with his quality work. While he was there I asked him for a quote so I could knock a few things off of my homeowner wish list. He gave me a fair price and we agreed on a time for his return. Joshua took time to talk on the phone about the job, asked great questions beforehand, then came out the next business day to look at the install job and give me a quote. He counselled us OUT of doing the work, and for that, I'm SO GRATEFUL. he could have easily just talked about the necessity of the job, and I wouldn't have known better. But, he's a good, ethical guy, and could appreciate our situation, and so he told us how we could make the best of our situation without massive demo and conduit, and crazy expensive wiring. And, he did it all graciously with a smile. What he got out of talking himself out of this job, is complete loyalty for any and all future jobs we'll ever need. Then we changed our mind and decided to remove that work and restore the area to its original condition. To do the restoration work we reviewed multiple-capable contractors in the area using Yelp. We chose Ridans Home Maintenance based on those capabilities and friendly communications. The work was done as mutually scheduled employing quality methods, materials, and crew. After, Dan and his men cleaned the area, removing discarded material as requested. The work and price was acceptable and referrals by us would be provided gladly.

We used this company to help switch over to propane. Which was $14,000 and we were fine with it…read morebecause we needed an new heating system. In the first couple weeks the water kept going cold, then the heat would not work. We called them and they would come out and "fix" the issue. Only for it to happen again. We finally got them to come out to "fix" it a final time to find out that they did not put the exhaust vent outside the house. Apparently when your exhaust vent is inside the house you cannot use an air freshener around it. Which we were not made aware of. One guy came out and said that the whole system was set up wrong and after he messed around with it, it started working. A couple months later we get a bill for $3,000!!! On a heating system they did not install correctly. We said we were not paying it because THEY were the ones that did not do their jobs correctly. They threatened us with a lean on the house if we did not pay the bill. After I had my father talk to them, they brought it down to a little over $1,000 for the bill. On something that they did not install correctly to begin with.

The door was never properly functioning (though it did function) and now it's completely busted. I can home one day and the entire bottom of it was falling apart. This is after them taking a YEAR to get around to installing it in the first place. I should have just read the writing on the wall and just canceled it. That was a lot of money to waste on a poor product.
