I have been seeing Dr. Cynthia Tang for physiotherapy on and off over the past years. She has been…read moregreat help bringing me back to recovery whenever I suffered from neck injuries and muscle tensions/pain. Her method of care is straight forward and effective. Don't be alarmed to go back for 3-4 sessions. It certainly takes time to heal. Each session is about an hour long. The therapist first applies a gel on the affacted area and massages with a warm massage rod to sooth the nerve inflammation. She then proceeds to use electrodes to pulsate my neck muscles... you can choose the level of intensity. It feels so good that I usually fall alseep! And lastly, she finishes with hand massage and gentle muscle stretching exercises. At the end of each session, Cynthia will give you advice and reminder on what you should do and should not do to prevent further injuries and to relief tensions. Be sure to make an appointment! They will try to accommodate the best they can even on the same day. The staff there are courteous, friendly and very helpful. Highly recommended :)

I went to visit a patient in the oncology unit and I was quite impressed with Sick Kids Hospital…read more The facility is beautiful; there are a lot of windows, which makes the space very bright. There are also a lot of food and beverage options on the first floor. I did a quick walkabout and found eateries for any palette. Close to the elevator, I saw a bulletin board with postings of a lot of activities going on in the hospital for both patients and their families. SKH provides a great support system for all stakeholders, which is great as I'm sure it's not the best experience for anyone to be here. Lastly, I noticed how dynamic the staff here were. They were all very upbeat, energetic, and positive; characteristics that are essential when working with children and their families. I'm not a child nor do I have children so I'm not sure when I'll be back, but I think this place is definitely a five-star. Good for: healthcare

She took the time to really listen and tailor each session to exactly what I needed. Honestly, she has magic hands. I felt noticeable relief after every visit. I can truly say I've never experienced this level of care and effectiveness with any other therapist. It's also the little touches that stood out, like the complimentary snacks and coffee, which made the whole experience even more comfortable and inviting. I always left feeling better, both physically and mentally. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for quality, compassionate care.

Will NEVER visit here again…read more My wife and I came in here to get a prescription. As my wife does not have health insurance, we paid cash upfront. The doctor eventually saw my wife but was unable to perform a proper assessment (about 2 minutes in total) on my wife as the main doctor was not available. They refused to return our cash even though they did not complete the assessment and did not provide a prescription. Further, they told us to return for another visit but then to pay more cash on our second visit. Only after complaining twice (my wife first then me) did they acquiesce and return our cash. This medical centre lacks integrity and I will not visit again

I came to St George Physio for an ongoing knee injury. The staff were all very friendly, and the…read moreclinic is spacious and clean. They offer student pricing. Full disclosure I came for 3 or so appointments. My physiotherapist came to a similar conclusion about my injury as my family doctor had, which was a positive first sign. From there, I felt like I barely saw my physiotherapist and when I did, she seemed rushed. A half hour appointment would consist of having ultrasound and TENS machines used on my knee (TENS machine is you lying alone in a room with the TENS machine for 15 minutes), so I'd have human contact for literally 5 minutes out of the half hour I was there. It just didn't seem worth the money and most importantly, the time spent. Any physiotherapist can give you exercises to do, but it takes the right one to truly be invested in your care, spend the time with you and ensure you're making progress week after week. All in all I felt like this clinic relied way too much on the use of ultrasound and TENS machines (at least for my particular injury), and the lack of person-to-person care made me take my bum knee elsewhere.

Kelly from Kelly's Home Care provided my family emergency care for my mother during a very…read morestressful time. My mother's condition had greatly degraded in a very short period of time and as a result, we needed full-time care, until we could move my mom out of her home and into a proper care facility. Kelly was able to provide 24/7 care in less than a days notice. We called other services that cost less, but they did not make us feel confident during initial interactions. We could not find another service that we felt comfortable with leaving a PSW alone with my mom. The PSW's that we met from Kelly's Home Care were excellent and we felt that the extra hourly rate that we had to pay was well worth it. Kelly also was very professional, caring and was always available in a moments notice.
