There is a grocery store right outside the Monte Rose exit and it's just a block from CityLife apartments. There are escalators up from the platforms and a chair lift for wheel chairs. Vending machines are available on the platform. Only two ticket machines, so get your's ahead of time, or be prepared to wait during the busy times. From the outside it appears there is a glass artwork, that on the inside it is a decorative roof. It gets a bit hot inside as the sun shines through the colored glass, but it is bright and sunny in the terminal where other stations may be a bit dark and drab.

Great stop of the new lilac line. Very clean and modern, like all other M5 stations. Useful also to reach the stadium, but during football events it is closed, and the only station open is the Stadium terminus.

My walking tour of Navigli ended close to the Genova metro station and I was so pleased with it…read morethat I returned to the area the next day for dinner. Easy to navigate, decently lit, clean and organized with the usual ticketing machines one level down. The station is handicapped accessible though I did not happen to notice the elevator. There is a visual board indicating how long until the next train and where it's headed. There was an escalator from the platform level to the ticketing level and then I took the stairs up to street level. Porta Genova is on the M2 line (the Green Line) between Romolo (towards Assago and Abbiategrasso) and Sant'Agostino (toward Cologno Nord or Gessate). [Review 10682 overall, 450 of 2019.]

He was a safe driver and made sure we got to the correct location before he started unloading our suitcases. I would recommend requesting for Daouda if you can.

We got stuck in Lenno and needed to find a way down to Moltrasio. The ferries had stopped running…read morethat route for the day and we didn't have time to wait for the bus (and didn't know where and how to purchase a pass). Fortunately we were able to randomly find Lake Como Driver on google. I think this is a husband and wife team running a small "taxi" service (but really more like a black car service). Alessandro doesn't speak much English, but we were able to work out pickup and drop off locations over the phone with his wife. Prompt pickup, nice car (newer model Range Rover), and easy to work with. I'm assuming they'd prefer to be booked on a longer term basis, but we were super happy he could pick us up on short notice. Also, both were very nice. Starting off with a buon giorno and parla inglese and finishing with a grazie probably helps (i speak zero italian, but it's always good to make an effort!). Mostly I'm writing this because the ride was pleasant, but also because there are so few reviews for car service around Lake Como. Hope it helps someone!
