There is a grocery store right outside the Monte Rose exit and it's just a block from CityLife apartments. There are escalators up from the platforms and a chair lift for wheel chairs. Vending machines are available on the platform. Only two ticket machines, so get your's ahead of time, or be prepared to wait during the busy times. From the outside it appears there is a glass artwork, that on the inside it is a decorative roof. It gets a bit hot inside as the sun shines through the colored glass, but it is bright and sunny in the terminal where other stations may be a bit dark and drab.

Easy to navigate, decently lit, clean and organized with the usual ticketing machines one level down. The station is handicapped accessible though I did not happen to notice the elevator. There is a visual board indicating how long until the next train and where it's headed. There was an escalator from the platform level to the ticketing level and then I took the stairs up to street level. Fortunately we were able to randomly find Lake Como Driver on google. I think this is a husband and wife team running a small "taxi" service (but really more like a black car service). Alessandro doesn't speak much English, but we were able to work out pickup and drop off locations over the phone with his wife. Prompt pickup, nice car (newer model Range Rover), and easy to work with. I'm assuming they'd prefer to be booked on a longer term basis, but we were super happy he could pick us up on short notice. Also, both were very nice. Starting off with a buon giorno and parla inglese and finishing with a grazie probably helps (i speak zero italian, but it's always good to make an effort!). Mostly I'm writing this because the ride was pleasant, but also because there are so few reviews for car service around Lake Como. Hope it helps someone!
