My walking tour of Navigli ended close to the Genova metro station and I was so pleased with it that I returned to the area the next day for dinner. Easy to navigate, decently lit, clean and organized with the usual ticketing machines one level down.
The station is handicapped accessible though I did not happen to notice the elevator. There is a visual board indicating how long until the next train and where it's headed. There was an escalator from the platform level to the ticketing level and then I took the stairs up to street level.
Porta Genova is on the M2 line (the Green Line) between Romolo (towards Assago and Abbiategrasso) and Sant'Agostino (toward Cologno Nord or Gessate).
