Dr Williams told me that because my daughter liked to spit out food it was "her flavor of autism" it was the first time she had ever met her and my daughter was 18 months old. My son is autistic. So therefor the assumption was made that obviously my daughter was too. Clearly she needs to go back to med school and learn diagnosis for autism does not take place until at minimum of age 3. Disgusting. This office also lacks competence to file simple paperwork with insurance, send prescriptions and just function in general. They require multiple phone calls to and half the time I need to explain to them what needs to be done and then call insurance for them. read more

I started seeing Dr. Matthew Westfall for the recommendation of a friend when I was looking for a new GP. The couple appointments I've had with him today he's taking plenty of time to answer my questions and or concerns and has a really nice demeanor. I find front office to be very receptive when I call with a question or a request to refill a script. They follow through, return phone calls etc. I would definitely recommend primary medical to anyone looking. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Ed Banman for more than 35 years, perhaps even 40+ years. He just doesn't seem to get any older... A thorough clinician, an outstanding diagnostician, and he has become a wonderful friend over the years. I feel very fortunate to have him as my primary care provider. Booked an annual wellness visit and saw Natalie Nichols. Primary medical then coded my visit incorrectly and sent me a bill. I called and spoke with office 3 times. Manager never called me back. I emailed and then someone called me back. I advised that my insurance pays for an annual exam fully every year. They told me that I didn't have an exam , even though, I did. Wouldn't code it properly and then sent my bill to collections. This practice is inept and is fraduent. All this for $35. read more

Booked an appointment trying to find a new primary health provider for a week in advance and was sent home and told to reschedule. Why allow me to make the appointment when you do not have time to see me? I had to take time off work to for the appointment I made. They even waited until I had finished all the paperwork before they told me I could not be seen at the time of my appointment and would have to reschedule for another day. Sue and doctor Victor Duong are legit! Sue don't coat anything and Duong is very detailed in care. Staff I encountered is friendly. Those are the best I have ever had. Update Dr. Mansour fixed me. I had a cracked wire in my pacemaker. The main lead wire. Had it completely broke I would not be here today. My symptoms have gone. I'm feeling better. PCP in this practice was recommended by another physician. She has not disappointed. She is bright, alert & skilled. I prefer to see my PCP annually. She's not cool with that. Although, I wouldn't go more than once a year - unless there was a reason - I never leave the office feeling the visit was a waste of time. I prefer to do biz with women. I'm surprised at the amount of negative reviews on here for Primary Medical. I was referred to them by a co-worker a little over 3 years ago, and although I have had one instance where the doctor's personality was not to my liking, my overall experience with them has been fairly good. I am not the type of person who has had the same doctor for 25+ years, so my expectations might be different than some, but the receptionists and medical professionals have been friendly, professional, and welcoming to me. My last two visits, I have seen physicians assistant Mrs. Bedwani and she has been friendly, professional, and patient with any questions or requests I have. She is efficient with handling my prescriptions and referrals, and was thorough in reviewing lab results with me. I don't go to the doctor often, but do know that I've always been able to get an appointment and help when I need it. read more

Dr. Jennings does not care about her patients. She ordered me blood work which she never called me about with the results even though they were ABNORMAL! I had to get the results myself from quest. I left many messages for her and she never returned my calls. Frantic I made an appointment with my gynecologist. 6 months later I finally see dr Jennings for my follow up... after waiting to see her for 45 minutes she had no idea why I was there and literally no advice either. She then had the gall to try and schedule a 6 month follow up! For what? She had no idea why I was there and didn't even discuss the blood work she had ordered for me! I will never go there again. There is a lot of litigation going on right now about the safety of C-PAP machines, so to verify the safety of my Resmed Airsense 10, I called the doctor that prescribed the C-PAP, Dr. Edward Banman of Primary Medical. On 9-27-21, Rebecca took a message for Dr. Banman about the safety of my Resmed Airsense 10. He is gone for a week but will be back next week. On 9-29-21, Daniela, the manager, said that Dr. Banman claims that it is Primary Medical's policy that the company that sold me the ResMed, or the company that makes it, is responsible for determining the device's safety. I said Dr. Banman and Primary Medical were wrong. Since he signed the order prescribing the device, he is responsible and liable for its safety. Besides, I have an email from my allergist confirming that the prescribing doctor is responsible for the safety of all devices that he/she prescribes for his patient's use. Daniella said she would refer this to Sonya, who is her manager. She will call me back. To this date, I have heard nothing from Primary Medical concerning this. Doctor Banman is a fine doctor if you can ever see him, but the health and safety deficiencies of this office give it a one-star rating. read more

This place is great. The waiting area is super clean and fresh looking, the receptionists are beyond helpful and always really polite. I can usually make an appointment the same week that I call, and there's hardly any wait (10 minutes or less). If you need a GP I can't recommend Dr. Dyer enough. He's super attentive and is willing to work with you on whatever you need, authorizes medication changes super quickly and has a great bedside manner. read more

From the unprofessional front desk staff to my treatment from Dr. Bedwani to listening to the back office on the phone I was appalled. I hated both experiences that I have had there on 05/09/2017 and on 05/15/2017. Dr Bedwani was rude and condescending with me and I didn't feel like I was being taken care of or validated from her. The staff in the front was so rude and unfriendly. I want to know if they know that we have a choice in picking our provider? I don't have to go back to them and honestly I wont be back. I walked out of my appointment on the 15th in tears. this whole office needs an overhaul, they need to take classes in customer service and bedside manner. The physician's assistant, Ms. Bedwani is a nightmare. She is condescending, does not answer your questions, and is distrustful of the advice of doctors within her own practice. She also gave unsound medical advice (i.e. recommending caffeinated beverages to someone with a urinary tract infection, etc). To top it off it can be difficult to understand her accent though this is truly the least of her problems. I would avoid her at all costs. read more

I went to see Dr Jennings in February and I don't know how she's even a doctor. I was there to establish care because our insurance changed and when I was telling her that I'm taking Gabapentin for my carpal tunnel and anxiety she immediately began treating me like a drug seeker. She said she didn't think I should be taking Gabapentin and that she needed to go look at my records from Kaiser to verify that I was telling her the truth. I said why would I lie about Gabapentin?! She then left and NEVER came back! After a long while I peeked my head out and asked her assistant what was going on. She said that my appointment was over. I told her we never finished our appointment, that she was just supposed to review my records and come back. But she the assistant said I'd have to make another appointment if I still had questions. I was so shocked I burst into tears and told the assistant I was going to report Dr Jennings to the medical board. So a minute later, Dr Jennings comes into the room. By then I was so upset that I told her to forget everything, that I was going to find another doctor. But then COVID happened and I just never went back. And I need things like a mammogram, etc. What's worse is Dr Jennings filled a prescription for the lowest Gabapentin dose possible and then refused to refill it the following month. Retaliation? Maybe. Real healthy to have your medication jerked around like that! I told my psychiatrist what happened and she immediately put me back on the correct dose of Gabapentin. I held back from writing this review for 8 months but I recently spoke with someone from church that had an even worse experience with her. I am worried that someone else might have to go through what I did. It's ridiculous that someone like her is responsible for the well being of anyone, much less a patient with medical needs. Primary Medical is great, but "Doctor" Dana Jennings gives them a bad name. read more

I HAD been a patient of his for about 5 years but now I am going to have to find another doctor to see. I have a chronic back problem (2 herniated discs) that acted up and makes it difficult for me to walk. I called today, 1/24/2017, and was told that his next available appointment would not be until 2/2/2017--two weeks out. I can't wait that long, the pain is too great. read more

I'm supporting Dee on this one. No problem with Dr. Dyer but it seems that follow through between Dr's and staff is nonexistent. Twice with Dr Banman follow up & scheduling with a specialist was totally forgotten (I have given up on that one). Now, waiting for a call from a Imaging Center to get in for MRI (2 days), decided I had better call to find out if anyone has even requested a MRI? Of course no one knows whats going on and I hope they will call me once the office figures out what they are supposed to do. Feeling already vulnerable not knowing much about the state i went in search of a doctor, someone who could be a decent primary doctor, someone like the one I had back in Chicago. First front desk girls are terrible and rude with no freaking emotion, couldn't even give a smile. There was the start of a horrible appointment. They had me see Dr. Bedwani, let me start of by saying she's the must rude condescending doctor I have ever met! She didn't care about anything I was saying. Didn't give me any advice at all and extremely rough with me. Also she embarrassed me by not having my insurance in effect yet, whispering loudly in front of everyone and laughing if I need a discount. I left in tears. I've never felt so humiliated in my life. Ive been a patient of Primary Medical for many years, since they were a much smaller operation than they are now, and their care is always excellent! I've met many of the practitioners at this location and everyone has been super helpful. I can almost always get an appointment the same day which is awesome when you have little kids, and on the rare occasions I can't, I visit their urgent care in midtown where the doctors are equally amazing. It can be difficult to get an appointment with certain very popular practitioners, but I've honestly been happy with everyone so if my usual person is unavailable I'm confident I'll receive quality care from whomever I can meet with. The staff has been great as well, I always get a call back from the medical assistant when I have questions, even though sometimes we play phone tag - they're very good about trying until we finally connect. My family has been to several of their locations and have been very happy with them all. I highly recommend Primary Medical! read more

My wife had excruciating pain through the evening and night on a Friday. We opted for urgent care on Saturday morning and chose Primary Medical on Johnson because we had had previous good experiences with Primary Medical. Called at about 8:45 (after waiting for an urgent care practice in Oxnard to open) and the office staff quickly located my wife's medical records and scheduled an appointment for 10:20. We arrived a little early and were seen almost immediately. Sue Renteria, NP, was on call and we couldn't have been more pleased with the way in which she went about arriving at a diagnosis, which was a tricky one because the issue was not one which would have been expected to have manifested itself in someone my wife's age. Long story short, we could not have been more pleased with Ms. Renteria and with the care provided at Primary Medical on Johnson. As an aside, I was seen by Ms. Renteria and by Dr. Banman years ago and feel that you can't go wrong with either of them. They are the best! read more

I had to transfer to Primary Medical because my doctor moved and today I was very dissatisfied by the service I received. I had two quick questions for Dr Jennings after she finished listening to my heart and breathing but she told me time was up that I would have to make another appointment because our alloted time was used up. Is this just to get more money out of me and my insurance. I don't appreciate being treated like cattle herded in and out. After going to Dr. Jennings for about 4 years I decided to change doctors. Dr. Jennings developed a pattern of having me come in for frequent follow up appointments that didn't have a real purpose. They would check my blood pressure which is sometimes a little high but not high enough for BP meds. Then I would get the same generic speech about weight loss "stay away from sugary drinks and processed foods" which I tried to explain many times I don't eat but she doesn't listen. Then I'm told to come back again in 3 months sometimes sooner. Also I've had several problems with the staff at the Johnson street office location being rude or too busy to listen to their patient and causing mistakes including having the wrong medication filled in a prescription (after specifically requesting the brand and dosage). I've had enough. Based on my experience, complaining to the office manager apparently only addressed a specific issue but never led to changing the office culture of valuing patients. Save yourself from unnecessary risk of a poorly run practice and go somewhere else. read more
