I did a hair trial about nine months before the wedding and I had the most luxurious Hollywood waves... really perfect. On the actual day I had changed plans to something more natural, and have really never felt happier with my hair. Thank you thank you! She made us feel at ease, was so lovely, and so very talented.

After first having a trial with her, where I showed her a handful of soomewhat vague pictures of the hair and makeup styles I wanted, she clicked immediately onto the look I was after. The day of the wedding I was somewhat anxious and running about. When Margeaux arrived, I got to relax while she glammed me up. I had asked for a few changes since my trial and she rolled with it easily. My makeup was flawless - natural but with a bit of dramatic flair with dark lipstick and eyeshadow tones. Margeaux did my hair with perfect vintage waves on one side (channeling my best Jane Russell) and a braid on the other side, to show off my coloured hair streaks. My makeup lasted well into the next day (I was exhausted and naughty and didn't take my makeup off before bed), withstanding a loooot of crying and kisses! My hair stayed perfectly in place throughout the autumn weather and hours of dancing. I would more than highly recommend anyone to go see Margeaux for their hair and makeup for their wedding, event, or any occasion when you want to look AMAZING!

Julia is amazing with her crazy colour (a true artist that one), I've seen Connor create wicked cuts, and Cathy is an expert at making your hair look pretty sharp. I really feel like these guys can cover everyone from the 'normal' haircuts, to the insanely out-there styles. I've gotten some great tips out of them, and my hair loves me for it. I've recommended three of my friends to this place and each one has loved the experience and the customer service as well. Great bang for your buck too, considering the prices of other Chapel Street stylists. Amazing!

You're always greeted with a friendly smile, lovely dispositions and wonderful conversation. I go mostly on weekends and my two favourite people are JP and Kaeda who are awesome male cutters. I recommend seeing one of these guys if you're a boy, not sure if you're a girl, but I guess you can figure that one out for yourself! It also serves tasty coffee, the hair-washers are gorgeous people and it has specialist colouring people on staff. A really good point is that you get SMS reminders after about six weeks since your last cut to remind you that you should probably address the mop that inevitably forms after this amount of time. Once you make your booking, you're also sent a reminder SMS a couple of days before which you can reply YES or NO to confirm or cancel the booking. Genius! Be sure to check them out; and though it may be slightly pricey, but the sheer awesomeness of this place far outweighs it.

It doesn't stop just at your haircut, Emma is always so dilligent in sending a follow up text message asking how you like your hair and what's more they also offer FREE tidy-ups a few weeks after your haircut. This Christmas, I gifted a Sogo style for my mum and sister, needless to say they're going to become regulars. I haven't seen Mum smile that much in years, it was brilliant. They also know when people are interested in conversation and when business is to be conducted in comfortable silence. They use Loreal products, which is great for brighter hair colours. They're also not stingy with the application of dye, and are great at taking feedback, making suggestions and sussing out their customer's hair boundaries. Sam's also offered to trim fringes for free between major cuts, and to re-do anything that hasn't come out quite right. She can do curly and straight hair, and is especially good with your more choppy and funky hairstyles. Having recently moved premises, the shop's bathed in a halo of natural sunlight throughout the day. The whole operation is casual but professional, and you don't have to book months in advance (though a week or two is probably advisable). To top it off, my full hair colouring and cut only costs $155, so it's very reasonably priced. A great find all-round. Please don't ruin it for me!

I chose to bleach once as this would take only 4 hours ( and about $75 cheaper too!) and confirmed the price also so there were no suprises. I popped in the next day and i was met with two of Aeri's assistants who got me prepped for my cut and colour. Throughout the haircolour, staff continually checked with me to make sure I was ok as well as being offered water, chips and chocolates (I had bought in my own softdrink). I have had disasters before where the hairdressers could not control nor properly colour my thick course hair so I have found it challenging. I was very satisfied with both the colour & the cut and we even completed everything in the 4 hour window too!
