First of all, they treat you to coffee or tea upon arrival (yum!) and Kylie really listened to me and gave me the exact cut I was after. Now, i've had very short hair for a very long time, and it is obvious when someone doesn't quite know what they're doing with my hair. In fact, I got my hair cut at a beauty school/training place for a few years, so I know what a bad cut looks like! Being a bleached blonde with damaged hair, I'll admit I'm not the easiest client. But quite frankly a visit to the hairdressers used to give me the shakes, nobody could seem to get my hair the shade of ash blonde I desired, and the long hair I craved went up in smoke as it would be snapped away. And then by miracle Toni K became the only salon I knew close to my home. Twelve months later I am a devoted client; making my way to the salon every six weeks to pamper myself with a cut, colour and treatment. My hair is now half way down my back with not a tint of brassy blonde. I've never been one to enjoy the banter of forced conversation between hairdresser and client, but the atmosphere of the salon combined with the genuine chit chat between hairdressers, Toni K himself and clients alike gives the salon an olden day barber shop feel with all the modern trimmings of a modern salon. I simply can't speak more highly of the results I've received. Every time I leave I feel like a million dollars, ecstatic at my cut, colour and the price I've paid for it all. Based on Yelp reviews, I went to take a look at the salon. It was very busy on a Wed afternoon, which I took as a good sign and made an appointment for Friday. Atsuko did a fantastic job cutting and coloring my hair. Her attention to detail was impressive - she spotted mistakes in my previous haircut that even I hadn't noticed, and was very careful the the color didn't splatter or run onto my skin or clothing. I brought some photos of my ideal cut - she did a great job marrying the style to what my hair actually does. She even gave me some tips on how to blow dry it better when I am doing it myself. Plus, she managed to pull this all off in less than 2 hours! (And it didn't feel rushed). My hair looks amazing and I am so happy with it! And even though they seem to always be busy, they are somehow able to fit people in on short notice so don't be shy about calling them.
