Amazing primary care provider! I was able to do a walk in appointment and was seen in less than 15min. staff was friendly and attentive and the doctor answered all of my questions and went above and beyond to make sure all my needs were met. They even called several pharmacies in the area without me asking when I found out my usual one was closed to make sure I had access to my medication as soon as possible. Absolutely terrible and deceitful practice. My wife had a visit a few months ago and during that visit, she discussed with the front desk and her doctor, Dr. Perez, regarding billing. They assured her that she would not be billed as everything was covered under insurance. She had to come back the following week for a follow up due to an issue during her visit. She was assured it would be covered. We then got several bills for BOTH visits along with the labs that Dr. Perez apparently lied about stating that it would be covered. We spoke to the billing department and they were HORRIBLE - rude and unprofessional telling me that WE are responsible for knowing THEIR billing codes and practices, not THEIR own doctors, like what??! We will NEVER be returning for any services from them as they are unresponsive when trying to talk to the office and do not take ownership for their own actions. read more

RUN! Run away from this place, it's a shit-show! Every time I've been to this place there's some administrative problem. They can't process insurance correctly, they can't take payments, must only bill you and they make that as much of a pain in the add as possible. The front desk staff is CLUELESS! Horrible service. There a Providence Urgent care in the care building, save yourself some ass pain and walk past primary care associates and go there instead. This place is a joke, won't ever be back! read more

As a young and healthy person, PCA has been the perfect place for me to meet with a primary care provider on an as needed basis. Dr. Isakson is very attentive, answers any questions and makes sure I am comfortable with my treatment plan. I've been to PCA for a number of sports injuries, wisdom tooth problems post surgery, and regular colds/check-ups. read more

The stuff is very friendly. The receptionist is very cheerful and helpful young "old believer" lady. And FNP Young who was taking care of me is a fantastic medical professional. I was called in with my appointment on time. They keep a waiting area as empty as possible. Everyone was wearing a mask and patients are quickly taken in. There was an individual who came in without a mask and one was offered to him. I would recommend this office any time! read more

Dr. Pressman at the Eagle River location is INCREDIBLE. It is safe to say she is the best doctor I have ever had. I also love the PAs here but unfortunately forgot their names! I usually say that I think we're all lucky a doctor hasn't killed us yet -- I have seriously had that awful of experiences with doctors. Since leaving AK, I have continued to have bad experiences. I can't stand doctors. But PCA is a 180 degree difference -- I have only amazing things to say, and I would highly recommend. Dr. Pressman is incredibly professional and has the best bedside manner of any doctor I've been to. She has always listened to me with an open mind and such care, as if she can relate to my experiences herself. She went so far as to print me out medical research on a condition I have so I could be more knowledgeable about it, which I seriously appreciate. I am young and have found doctors often have a strange, dismissive attitude with me. Obviously this is not the case at PCA if Pressman gave me medical research papers. I do not have words for how she makes me feel as a patient. I could not recommend an office more. Please come here if you live in Chugiak or ER! Even Anchorage! Drive all the way here! read more

They're trying, but failing. While the staff is friendly enough considering the huge workload, all there at this time are not focused on what should be the main goal: healthcare, not fumbling through your administration and office improvements. My doctor was Nicole Pressman. I moved here from Denver a few months back and was relieved to find her. At first, I thought no problem, she only works in ER two days a week. Fast forward to now, I am experiencing a medical emergency and the office refuses to see me, Nicole Pressman speaks through this staff to do the tough work for her. She is empathetic in person only. When I inquire about serious medical concerns, I'm never referred to a colleague of hers. I'll find a place that has time for me and my family, and, can locate my records in order to treat me properly. Hope you guys improve. I'll power through this and be glad I didn't refer anyone to you. Take a tip from lower 48! Sometimes more than a 40 hr work week is necessary. Even for those in white coats. read more

Went in with ear infections and jaw pain in April and the P.A. pushed for a Mumps test. Not being a medical professional, I went with what the trained professional wanted. Months later, I am still dealing with the hassle of my insurance company refusing to pay for the lab test costs due to this test being deemed unnecessary, experimental, and investigative. Primary Care Associates and US Healthworks refuse to accept responsibility for their employee's incorrect medical action. Will not be returning here and actively tell my family to avoid it as well. It is a shame when you cannot trust the medical professional you go to when in pain to be looking out for you and not stick you with unnecessary $500 bills!!!! read more

I am extremely disappointed in the follow up care at PCA Eagle River. I recently had an MRI for my back. I was called days after the MRI stating that my results were insignificant and that my MRI showed nothing abnormal. My results were sent to another clinic (not PCA) and it was found that I have bulging of my spine. I have contacted PCA Eagle River three times hopeful for follow up care. However, no one has returned any of my phone calls yet. Very disappointed to not only get invalid medical data, but a lack of communication on the part of the clinic itself. Based on this alone, I will unfortunately have to discontinue receiving medical care at PCA in fear of receiving inaccurate information. read more

Terrible experience. Front staff leaves you on hold, nurses forget to tell providers you are ready to be seen, doctors fail to send in prescriptions. I had seen one of the doctors in other practice for years and he had done a great job. Now he does not get refills on prescriptions, forgets to follow up, forgets to make referrals. read more

I am so grateful for these people! My boyfriend cut his hand open on 12.22.2017 and it was beyond a "band-aid fix." We didn't want to drive into Anchorage if we could get somewhere quicker and we found PCA online and called them to see if they'd accept a walk in, probably needing stitches. From the initial phone call to the visit itself everything went so smoothly. The receptionist, I think her name was Athena? Was amazing. She was so sweet, accommodating, and professional. We filled out paperwork and it took about 5 minutes to get him into a room and checked out. The PA, Tim, was also amazing. He kept the conversation light and friendly which eased the fact that we had to run over for some unplanned stitches! Tim stitched him up real quick and we were in and out in about an hour. The assistant was also helpful and provided answers to any additional follow up questions. Overall a great experience for an unplanned evening - cannot sing enough praises for this place! read more

My husband was seen in the first week of May. I finally received our bill in August. We live out of town so I tried calling to pay over the phone. For 3 weeks I called Monday - Friday, leaving messages each day. I finally got ahold of them today, now the 27th of the month, and I wasn't expecting them to answer so I didn't have the bill in front of me. I asked what the total was before giving her my card number that she had asked for and she put me on hold. I was on hold for 30 minutes! Finally I hung up and called back for her to answer my phone call again and say, "we don't know the total on your bill. If you don't have the bill in front of you, you can pay what you think it is and we can send you another bill in the mail with the remaining balance." I said I didn't want to do that because it took 3 weeks just to be able to get this far with just talking to somebody instead of a machine. I was not expecting her response, "I don't know what to tell you then. You need to find your bill that was sent to you." This attitude and complete rudeness was so uncalled for! I was asking a very simple question that any office should be able to answer (I know your system shows you the balance I owe) and I was the one on hold for 30 minutes and forgotten about! I was being very nice for somebody that was treated this badly. My husband also said he was treated this way in person at the time of his appointment. You will not have my family's business ever again. read more
