We ordered a grilled chicken salad, slice of pepperoni pizza, loaded onion rings, and when pigs fly sandwich. Our total before tip was $40.42! Only complaint I have is with the salad. The chicken was very salty and the chicken was over cooked to the point where it was hard to chew and very dry. Everything else was great. Pizza was fantastic. Salad was huge. Server was fantastic and attentive. Restaraunt was large and had large windows for lots of natural light. Music was great. Browsing the Erie mall after. Side note. A hook would be great in the woman's bathroom to hang our purses while we are there. read more

Why cant we give zero stars? DO NOT eat here! We ordered 2 sandwiches and waited over 2 hours and never got our food. This is an awful restaurant! I repeat DO NOT go here! read more

Well what can I say... the floor below table in the booth was so sticky that it almost pulled my shoes off. Pastrami and cheese was brought out Not toasted and the fries were really subpar to the point of being wet with grease. Limp to say the least. Coleslaw was ok if you like vinegar slaw. The beer was a summer shanty ( very good ) service was good but the food lacked the need to return again. read more

First time coming into this restaurant and I was so disappointed. Ended up leaving bc no one greeted us or even looked at us. We stood there for 10 mins while servers walked by and the bartender had a whole conversation with someone. We were really hungry so we went somewhere else. Will not be returning. read more

The food here is pretty underwhelming. Despite the variety of creative wing flavors, there doesn't seem to be great quality control. I was left disappointed. Food: 2/5 Price: 3/5 Experience: 2/5 read more

Absolutely terrible! I think I'm 100% done with this chain. I'm sad because it used to be my favorite especially when I lived in Pittsburgh. Not only did my black god mother experience racism then got very ill at a Pittsburgh location, but my parents and I had a waitess with gross old grown out long dirty acrylic nails putting her thumb nails directly into our food as she served our plates at this location in the Millcreek mall. We were so mad and disgusted after a long seating wait, dirty sticky table, long food wait, and getting dirty food crusted silverware we had to send back. The long gross thumb nails jabbed into our food was it for us. read more

Sat us without kids menus. Waited 15 minutes and never saw a waiter so we just left. Unfortunate because we live far away and had it once before and it was good. I won't waste the time in future. read more

Love coming here as it is as staple for us when in the area. Restaurant & bathrooms were not very clean & staff seemed a little lost on what to do on times. Some staff just wandering or chit chatting when there were tables to clean. Staff was friendly though. Portions are always huge but these sandwiches are supposed to be hot & all 3 we ordered came out stone cold. Unsure why. Hopefully when we come here next time it will be better. read more

The corned beef and pastrami combination was amazing. Best sandwich ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not familiar with the area as we were just passing through so a bit difficult to find using GPS. Didn't realize that they had branched out from Pittsburgh. Great sandwich as expected. Definitely recommend. Although I don't like fries in the sandwich better on the side. read more

Not what it used to be. Cold bread. Where's the protein all fries and slaw. Slaw had a very strong horseradish flavor. Service was good Sandwich was dry as the Arizona desert in summer. At least creat a sauce to accompany that dry thing. place was empty for a Sunday afternoon Not impressed with the sandwich read more

Grabbed a pizza to go. It was our first time trying this place since we were here for the weekend and didn't know about any good places. The price included THREE toppings! We were thrilled. We got tomatoes, extra cheese and pepperoni. The pizza was delicious. The crust was crunchy on the outside and a little chewy on the inside. Perfect for me. Bottom crust could have been a tad thinner but I am a foodie so for most I'm sure it is fine. The best was the tomatoes on the pizza were cut so there were no seeds, just the meat of the tomatoes. Fabulous! We will be back to attend another class here in Erie and it's nice to know we will be all set on where to go for pizza! read more

Primanti Bros. Restaurant and Bar - 14" Pizza Feast. Sorry we dug in before I could snap a pic!! - New American Near Me - Erie, Pennsylvania

Best sandwich ever!!!!! I've had it at the original spot, the airport and Ft Lauderdale beach. They are all incredible. Home made bread, quality ingredients. I usually have the cappicolla and salami. Lots of meat with lots of flavor. Service is always spot on, they don't leave you waiting. read more

Thursday night. Came in at about 8:30 for a beer and sandwich. Bar was not full. Received my beer in a relatively timely manner. I was handed a menu and left alone for 20 minutes. I had already decided I was not going to order food as I was already dissatisfied with the service. Plenty of staff but not very attentive. They seemed to be too busy texting and and gossiping. read more

We got the pizza and wings. The pizza was cold and the wings were colder. We didn't get plates until we were done eating and we never got silverware. Service was friendly, but slow. Prices are reasonable. There are so many other places to try when we are in the area so it's unlikely we will be back read more

I used to love it at primantis. But now i may never go back .They have a 10.99 special which we have gotten the last 4 or 5 times we have been there they over charged us 2.50 each meal the last times we went there . I saved the receipt and asked to see a manager he said it was the girls fault then when I said the other servers did same thing numerous times he blamed it on corporate he changed the price on that days receipt but said the old receipt he couldnt do anything with. It's not the money its the principal my adult children had same experience read more

We really enjoyed our visit for dinner. We had been to this restaurant a couple of years ago. We are not local so we don't get the chance to go often. Our waitress was very attentive. We liked that the kids meals came with a little fun pack before the meal that included gold fish. Everything was also very reasonably priced. $10 for a huge sandwich is unheard of around us locally. Both of our sandwiches were great. If we lived closer, we would definitely eat here regularly. We also had the giant pretzel and that was good as well. 5/5 across the board. No complaints. read more

Not sure what all the hype is about at best the food's OK just another sports bar/ pub... chicken wings suck and sandwiches are nothing to ride home about... the french fries and coleslaw doesn't make sense to me read more

In their defense, it was Valentine's Day, at 6:00 pm so they were busy. Having said that, I sat alone at the bar, and the service was horrible. Had to ask 3 times for a menu. Then didn't come back to me for 20 minutes. Nice place but tonight, the service was horrible. read more

Not bad but nothing special. The sandwiches were good and well portioned but could use a different type of bread or at least toasted. The pretzel was good too. The waitress was very kind and attentive. The ambiance was cool. read more

Just not good. Bread on the sandwiches was cold not grilled or even toasted. the Ruben had coleslaw which was cabbage with vinegar and cold fries on it. Went here on a Monday evening and the place was pretty busy, and of course noisy. They have a cool bar and tall tables in front of windows. They also have a row of lower tables toward the back. Our waitress created us and took our drink order. She told us about the 59 cent wings Sunday/Monday special and explained that all sandwiches contain fries, cheese, tomato, and coleslaw. You can get any of these put on the side, and I went with the coleslaw. We ordered the wings half honey buffalo and half buffalo. We also ordered the steak sandwich. The wait time to get the food was over 30 minutes. The steak sandwich was really good, and even though I got the coleslaw on the side, I ended up putting it in the sandwich. Very tasty. The wings came up about 15 minutes later and they were crispy like we ordered them. The Buffalo wings were very mild and the Buffalo Honey wings had a bit of spice to them. They are breaded and I noticed they were missing any kind of kick to them. I'm not sure if I would order them again. The winner here was definitely the sandwich and I look forward to trying their different ones the next time I'm in, such as the Pittsburger. read more

Visited here while we were in town for the marine ball in November 2019 and it was delicious. Wait time wasn't too bad and the food didn't disappoint either. There are many options to choose from to satisfy whatever your craving. I highly recommend their milkshakes and their burgers are good too. I usually only have fries but I ate everything that's how delicious it was. The only reason I'm it giving it 5 stars is because our waitress clearly didn't know the menu and couldn't answer any of our questions we had about alcohol or the food. Her response was I don't know I'd have to go ask and I'm not sure I'm new. If your staff isn't confident in the menu then have another waiter or waitress help them or provide your staff with more training before they serve alone. read more

Got a double roast beef sandwich and French fries. The sandwich was the worst sandwich I think I ever had!! The bread was completely soggy and the only thing you could taste was the dressing on the slaw. The cheddar cheese was almost non existing no flavor. Primanti Bros. Restaurant and Bar - Fresh cut Fresh-Cut Primanti Fries very bad soggy and tasty like fryer oil! - New American Near Me - Erie, Pennsylvania

Do you love grease! Come to Primantis! Your pizza will literally be swimming in it! Your burgers will be dripping it and your flavorless fries can be dipped in it. Your giant pretzels will also be coated in a shiny layer of it which you can attempt to mask in the "from a can" nacho dipping sauce of the cheapest production line...or dip it in the equally unappetizing version of ranch. The marinara is okay...by far the only edible thing on the table, 7 in our group dined here and not one of us had an even decent meal. Everything was oily and lacked any attempt at flavors. 7 of us left with unfinished meals. We paid..but will not attempt this restaurant again My husband and I had the exact experience several years ago at the Primanti in Grove City but had sincerely hoped to have a better experience at this restaurant. Nope....it was the same read more

This is one of the American staple sandwiches. Read the original story about how these sandwiches got started in the strip district of Pittsburgh. It's a full meal, in one sandwich... No words to express. Get to your local Primanti Bros, or even order your own sandwich kit from Goldbelly. Much like Crab Louis, BBQ, or a cheesesteak. It's one of those life experiences everyone should have, at the right local spot. read more

The food is usually always good and consistent . The problem is usually the service at the bar. We always appreciate a bartender who advices us of beer and food specials, which has not happened once while we were there . We saw, after the fact, the special signs hanging behind the bar on a lower cooler blocked by where the bartender takes our order. If your tips are based on good service wouldn't you try to offer that ? We had refused to go there for awhile because of other service issues at the bar and thought we would try it again. We probably won't return anytime soon. read more

We stopped here for lunch before shopping at the nearby Macy's. The location is super convenient. On the map, it looked like it might actually be in the mall but it was on the outside without a mall entrance. I ordered the sirloin salad, which was a large portion of greens, with tomatoes, a half of a hard boiled egg, which plenty of meat, blue cheese, and fries. I'm not from PA so it seemed a little weird but French fries on a salad is definitely something I could get used to. They were thick hand cut fries, like the kind from Five Guys. While this salad wasn't one for the health-conscious, I really enjoyed it! Service was fine and prices were reasonable. read more

I've been wanting to eat at a Primanti Bros location since I first heard about the chain a few years back. Since I started working in Erie once a week I figured now would be the perfect time to try one of these big ol' sandwiches for myself. The menu here is a bit overwhelming and since it was my first time I really struggled on what sandwich I should try. After much deliberation I settled on trying the "Pittsburger" because I'm a sucker for a name like that. I called ahead and the food was ready quicker then I expected (which is always a pleasant little surprise) and like the savage animal I am I ate it right in the parking lot. The Pittsburger is basically a cheeseburger with coleslaw and French fries in the burger instead of being served on the side. Now, I hate coleslaw but being that this is what the place is famous for, I had to try it for what it was. On top of what was already on it I also added bacon to mine because (well, because I wanted bacon) of some important reason. I was hooked from the very first bite and didn't stop until I had a few bites left to save for the next day. The burger itself was absolutely incredible and even though I didn't enjoy the coleslaw part of it, it didn't make me hate the burger or anything. Overall, I'm a big fan of the Primanti bros Restaurant and can't wait to come and try some more things in the future. The food was awesome, the restaurant itself looked super awesome, and this is probably on the top of the list for best in Erie, so I come check it out! read more

Food was great and the bartender was friendly and our food came out fast and was cooked well

This location is a bit different than other Primanti brothers spots, it has a bit more of a corporate feel than the ones downtown in pittsburgh. However it also has an expanded menu and is a lot cleaner. Service is super fast and also the food is well made and looks super appetizing. To those looking for a 2am drunken food crawl this isn't your place. Shopping with your family at the mall it's a perfect read more

Curbside order came out cold despite two calls 20 mins apart telling them I was there and was told the food wasn't ready yet. Finally food came out, ice cold. Had to go inside and manager came out and explained that the food was cold because it was ready... before I called the first time I called.... Manager was rude, snapped the food from me and told me he would issue a refund. That was that. No apology. Horrible experience. read more

Probably average to slightly above average for a sandwich shop turned chain restaurant. This Primanti Bros is relatively new and was very clean considering it was a packed house on a holiday weekend. I got the BLT Tots which sadly bad nearly no "B" on it (bacon) so it felt more like I was eating a tater tot salad. The server was attentive up until the food arrived then she didn't return for me to mention it to her. Usually I avoid these kinds of places unless convenience is a factor which it was. read more

If you know what this place is you already love it. If you don't - try it. There are many things you can order here but if you are new to this chain - order a sandwich with fries and coleslaw on it - the original location started a thing across the country that is considered Pittsburgh Style sandwich and it started with this chain before it was a chain. I consider the chain to be a Max and Erma version of the original which I really like. The purest out there will prefer the greasy hole in the wall original. It I like the expanded Cheesecake Factory model they adopted when they took this chain national. Place is always busy so expect to wait for a seat. Love this location attached to mall but also like the location in Grove City Outlets and Mars PA. This is a destination chain for me I would drive an hour out of my way to add to a trip! read more
