I did my smog check here and we were in and out within 20 minutes. The staff at the counter were nice and greeted us as we walked in. She was very quick with everything but not in a rush rush kind of way. My husband has been going here for many years, even with the prior owner who passed. It was my first time and I think they did great. The fee was $81 total and feel it was reasonable for a smog check. We have been and will continue bringing our vehicles here for smog checks. read more

Went there to get a smog check, asked if they could pre check my car before it was put on the machine as I just had repairs done to it, they said we dont do that, and that it would be 40 dollars to pre check, I asked if it was good for the pre check would the 40 dollars go towards the smog check and they said no, I went elsewhere, also I happen to have a milwaukee Brewers jersey on that day and got nasty looks from the woman working there, I would not ever go to them, very unprofessional. read more

Prieto Smog Center did not automatically send my smog certificate to the DMV. After getting my car smogged at this location, I received a letter from the DMV denying my registration due to no proof of smog. I called to ask if they could send it again. The woman on the phone was rude and said they cannot send it again. I have all of the paperwork and the smog certificate they gave me, but she still refused send it to the DMV. Update in response to the business owner's reply: The registration was paid. I paid it before getting the smog done and you are already aware as I explained that when I called. Your claim about the 90 days is not accurate. The CA DMV confirmed you could have re-submitted my smog certificate. The cert is still valid. My main complaints are the lack of accountability, rude staff, and the inconvenience this caused. I am a single parent with 2 disabled children which makes an unexpected lengthy trip to the DMV very difficult. I explained this when I called. My child missed a therapy appointment and I had to pay for a caregiver to stay with my kids while I went to the DMV. The woman on the phone said they don't keep records past 90 days. I offered to bring the cert and all of my paperwork to them to send, but they refused. read more

Great experience!!! They were so kind at this place. They got it done very quickly. Hardly took up any time of my day on my only day off and tight schedule. One of the best experiences I've had in a long time. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. recommending to everybody I know and I will for sure be coming back as a regular customer now that my car qualifies as needing to be smogged. It's very rare now in 2026 to experience such well-rounded folks who are so thorough and kind at the same time. Honestly A+, couldn't have been better or easier. read more

very kind people! smog check was quick and i didn't fail so that was a plus too! priced fairly and with a convenient location.

Quality and value. A year ago this establishment was a good place to go. Not anymore. The prices are sky high. If your car doesn't pass, it's another 40.00 to retest. Unbelievable. Look around, i have seen other lower cost locations and some are free if you fail or pay now and retest for free! I , against better judgement, came here. Good luck read more

Customer service. They failed my smog without asking me to provide proof my cold intake is carb legal. Failed my visual inspection. And asked for 40$ to retest when I can show proof. Could have been avoided if I was allowed to show proof. Very unprofessional. Don't recommend. read more

Went to the DMV this morning and they said I needed a smog check. I looked up Smog check near me and there were a few places that close at 5pm or 5:30pm and I found that Prieto Smog Center closes at 6pm. I called and asked if I needed an appointment or a walk in and they said either but they put me down for a same day appointment. I left work and found Prieto Smog Center located at the corner of a shopping plaza located on Sunnymead Blvd. The shopping plaza has a mix of different automotive stores/shops. I walked in and saw that their waiting area was clean with cute neon signs that say Moreno Valley and Save Our Planet, blue chairs, TV, and vending machine. They remembered that I had called and had me fill out my information and we were good to go. I found online that they have a coupon for $39.75 for a smog check. My experience here was great, they were reliable, fast, and helpful. I recommend coming to Prieto Smog Center for smog check services. They are star certified. read more

Professional Service, Friendly People. Excellent Prices. I have been a customer for more than 15 years.

Went for our smog check and customer service was great. Very clean and very happy they offer a coupon on the website for smog!

I Went to get a smog check and literally finished quick and the girl in the front was super sweet and very welcoming 10/10 recommend

Unfortunately it has nothing to do with the actual smog check. It's more of a customer service issue. I had to retest because I changed the battery out before the smog test. It failed do to the computer not resetting gentlemen told me to drive it around for about 150-200 miles. It's a $40 retest fee. It's more like $53 after all taxes and certifications. Still not a big deal. So fast forward to my retest it passed. Now here comes my issue. After I paid (different gentleman probably the owner) this time, he informed me that I didn't need the old test (receipt) and informed me I could throw it away. I simply asked if he could do it ( throw it away ) he said no I could do it. It might sound petty but I've been coming here for probably over 10 years. It just rubbed me the wrong way. So I'll be finding me a new smog place for my 4 vehicles. read more

Prieto Smog Center - Not bad for a smog shop waiting room. - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Moreno Valley, California

The owner of the shop is awesome. He smog my vehicle and it passed small. He's very affordable and he's also a star smog shot so exactly what I needed. The atmosphere was really nice. There was a TV in the waiting room so it wasn't bored. They also had a vending machine for soda if I got thirsty, he did the service the DMV requested very satisfied with my smog read more

Came in for a smog check. Took less than an hour to complete. Definitely recommend to anyone if you need it done quick.

The good: Weekday walk in for a smog check, quick and easy. The bad: They refused to accept their own online coupon because they already started writing the invoice, and they couldn't tell me why they wouldn't honor the coupon except that "the owner wants it that way." They also charge $3 to pay with debit or credit. (I know most places pass this transaction fee to the customer now too, but it is still an aggravating part of the consumer squeeze to charge more for every little thing.) I ended up paying twice as much as expected. Sorry, I won't be a return customer. read more

Horrible service, first and last time coming here. Came here for a smog check failed for having an after market air filter. He mentioned I needed a sticker and would not pass me with out it. Told him I would get the sticker that contains the numbers for the air filter but he said it was too late and would charge me again to pass me. Any other smog business would have looked up the part number and saw that it was legal. This is the first place that doesn't bother helping someone out and fails you automatically for something small. read more

I called several times and they never returned a phone call. they didn't open until after 8:30 in the morning, which is different than their website. went in requested a smog, and then when we went to pay, they refused the coupon because we didn't show it at the time we entered the building so instead of the smog. Being $39 plus the Certificate. It ended up being close to $80. I do not recommend this place. Bad customer service read more

Called a week prior after searching around for a smog shop that is affordable and I went online to see they have a coupon too and confirm it can still be used and also asked question about if I put a new battery in then what will I need to do prior to the test and how much I'd be paying total. So out the door in cash (make sure you get cash) it was 45. Make sure you mention coupon in beginning meaning when you first get to the desk there not while they are making you sign everything and not when the test is being done otherwise you miss out. It explains on the coupon just read and call ahead ask questions you guys...even if you had something replaced or changed in the car just ask if that will affect the test. Quick...I was in around 1 on a Sunday and it was empty. Car passed. ***read everything carefully call ahead and ask questions!!*** read more
