I applied for a job at PrideStaff to obtain a temp position for a beginning to mid-level customer service or admin position, for a short time assignment only. I applied for a position on-line, and received a call about it immediately, and was asked to come in for an orientation. Here is my reason for a 2-star review. I believe the person who went over my application and resume became overwhelmed (was she brand new? just starting this role?) because once she started probing more into my resume and background, trying to understand it, she abruptly just stopped the orientation, said PrideStaff couldn't assist me with my job search, and ushered me out of the office with a list of the other Staffing Agencies in the Central Oregon area. I've been a contractor now with Pridestaff of Bend since November 2020. I lost my job in March of 2020, but they didn't hesitate to give me a chance, even after being unemployed many months, since the pandemic cost a lot of us our jobs. They're quick, professional, responsive, and caring people. The owner Matt is friendly and available, and very involved in making sure their contractors are taken care of. PrideStaff uses modern technology like online time entry, and text messages to communicate with their contractors. As someone who used to work for their competitor staffing agency in town, I can say that I'm very happy to have made the switch. I can't say enough positive things about Pride Staff. I just moved to Bend from San Francisco and needed to find a job ASAP. When I was in town visiting, Michelle brought me in to get to know what I was looking for and even sent me out on an in person interview a few days later. I had to head back to San Francisco but she set me up with a video interview and I was offered the job the same day. I was layed off from a seasonal job, and applied here as a part of my job search. I did the on boarding interview and everything seemed good. Had an interview lined up with a potential employer, a week from on boarding. The day of interview I get a text that the interview was canceled and more details would follow. No details came and when I asked for an update I was asked if I as interested in a job I already declined to pursue. I restated my lack of interest in the position, and then no contact whatsoever. I called the office, and no call back. They just ghosted me. I'm still not sure what I did wrong. read more
