Provided me with an estimate of $254, but when it came down to paying they told me I owed $357. When I tried to work this problem out, they indicated they had updated the estimate - which apparently was after I approved the original estimate. I requested an estimate based on the positive reviews shown here. At that time I told them that my lawn would be a challenge. They said that they would be up to the task. A crew came and covered my lawn with compost and seed in October of 2017. When spring of 2018 arrived, I had a lawn of dandelions and not much else. I was told in a voice message that they would keep at it until I was satisfied. I had not answered the phone so I had a recording of their reply. I was told various reasons by various people why their first attempt did not take. Since I understood that they would be working on my lawn, I hired them to mow and trim so that they would not have to coordinate their work with another mowing service. They received two stars based on the quality of their lawn maintenance service. For the most part, it was done well but there was always places that were not trimmed and aspects of the service that were requested but were inconsistently performed. Come October of 2018, their second attempt at my lawn took place. It was done quite differently than the first application but I was told that this would be successful. Spring of 2019 arrived and some grass finally showed itself but there were many bare spots. Once again I contacted them and was told that they would be working on it. With the exception of an aeration, nothing else seemed to be done. Once again I hired them to mow and trim. At no time did I see any type of work to improve the condition of the lawn. On October 1st, I contacted them and said that apparently they feel they have done all they could so their work at providing a lawn was over. I was told that they were just about to come and do something. At that time I also told them that I no longer needed their mowing and trimming services. Again, that was October 1st. Instead, unbeknownst to me, they were continuing their weekly mowing service. I contacted them and reminded them that I had terminated that service on 10/1. I was then presented with an invoice for four weeks of mowing service that was done after I had specifically cancelled. Between the lawn treatments and the mowing services, I have spent thousands of dollars and have very little to show for it. Draw your own conclusions. We had "Pride" come out last fall to landscape our yard and they planted while we were gone and couldn't water and lost several plants, they didn't remove previous landscaping materials before laying a thin layer of dirt and grass seed so the back has turned to weeds and all the grass has died. The front beds did not get landscaping fabric underneath and is turning entirely to weeds. We couldn't be more disappointed. When we try to contact them we only get a service and not a human. My emails have gone unanswered. read more

We recently moved away from Champaign, and needed someone to cut and trim our grass until our house sold. Core was very prompt in giving me a fair quote. Came out and actually mowed the lawn, which is apparently a big deal for lawncare companies in CU! Called on a Tuesday, got the quote that day, accepted it, and they came out to do a mow/trim a few days later. Will use them again. $75 for a delinquent mow, which sounds fair to me. read more

Pride Lawn Care did a great job removing some landscaping in my yard. They responded quickly to my phone call, came out the same day, gave me an estimate and did the work the same week. They were reasonably priced. I will definitely use them again. read more

I received exceptional customer service and care from Pride. They trimmed my trees, installed pop-ups in my flower beds, and mulched all of my flower beds. They did a great job last year working me into the schedule for the last day of gutter cleaning. But this year, my emails asking for a new quote and to be scheduled in the last week of cleaning (my maple trees take forever to drop their leaves) have gone unanswered. It is just so very rude not to take 30 seconds to respond and say, "we're too busy." I cannot recommend them, based on this experience. read more

Corey and the Pride team did an outstanding job on our yard "spring clean". Got rid of all the leaves and sticks - cut back all the plants. Aerated the yard. Cleaned out gutters and downspouts. I hired Pride because of their good reviews. Now, I think it's possible that they had friends write those reviews for them or they outright paid for them. My project was several thousand dollars and once started, I had to call constantly to find out when they were coming. They did a part of the project, but then left the major portion (prepping and seeding 1.5 acres) undone. I texted the project manager multiple times and emailed the owner, Corey. I told them each time that I needed to know if they were going to get my project done. I asked for basic information like next steps and an approximate timeline. No answers, no communication on job progress, nothing. I met the project manager and he seemed like a very professional person. However, after my initial introduction to him at my property, he forgot all about me. These guys cost me 6 weeks - I could've had someone else who actually wanted my business working on my property. They seem like nice folks, but totally unprofessional. read more
