I tell her it's a normal sized tree in a residential back yard, and i'm not looking for a verbal contract, just a ballpark range for their services. She repeats her prior statement, with obvious disgust and frustration in her voice, that their crew has to come out and inspect before any estimate can be provided. Really? They were friendly, accommodating, and by far the best price. I wanted to keep much of the wood from my tree and they willingly cut the tree trunk and branches into manageable pieces. They even cut a giant stump I had in my yard from another tree into pieces when I requested it without hesitation or extra charge. The appointment time came and went, but I didn't hear from them. I gave them a day to reach out, but they didn't. I finally sent a note saying that I was disappointed that they weren't able to come to our appointment. Their only response was that they were delayed by rain on another job. Delay for rain I understand. Failing to call to cancel or reschedule an appointment I do not understand. They might be the best guys in town, but if they don't communicate well, that doesn't bode well for them doing what I actually want them to do.
