My friend and I have used Pride Cleaners many times. They do a great job on clothing. Today I waited patiently in the drive thru line to ask if I could purchase one plastic bag for a travel situation. The employee told a bold face lie stating "We don't have any plastic bags" WTH!! The ladies clothes in front of me were in a plastic bag. Every order we've paid an exhorbant amount for was in a plastic bag. He could have said something like "We don't have extra bags for sale or extra bags to spare. How insulting! You can't tell me one plastic bag would have caused this expensive company to go bankrupt!! I only use this dry cleaning location because it is close to my house. Over the last 10 years the customer service is has slowly gone downhill and they are always in a hurry now. The receipt they give out to come pick up your clothes has no details on it as to how many items you are leaving. Several years ago an alteration took weeks to get back and this went on for a while but seems to have improved . No one calls now to let me know when it actually is back. On the door there are so many rules that it took me 10 minutes to read them all. Also over the years the hours change constantly. The drive-thru service is great. They were quick to clean my several work shirts, even having them ready before the date I asked. The staff is friendly and efficient and the pricing was very reasonable. Exactly what I was looking for. read more

I have been using Pride for a few years. It is super expensive and pricing seems to have increased without notification. They are not very transparent with pricing. I have NEVER been offered the opportunity to get coupons after all of these years and all of the money that I have spent... I pay to be a member of the discount club but I honestly feel slighted. Pride should find a way to consistently give back to faithful customers. We have to iron all of my husband's pants when they are returned. It's not worth it. read more

I used Pride Cleaners at the then Hen House to clean my wedding dress. This post applies to both Pride Cleaners at Woods Chapel where my dress was sent when the store closed, as well as their corporate office. They outsource wedding gowns to Arrow Fabricare, a company here in Kansas City. When my dress came in, the manager called very apologetic because my dress had been extremely damaged in the cleaning process. She said it looked like the cleaner forgot to unbussel my dress which caused the machinery to snag and rip the fabric. She assured me that she could compensate me for the dress or offered to send it back to Arrow saying they should be able to repair the dress. Very leery, I said she could send it back as long as they could replace the damaged fabric. Months went by, my dress finally came in. I kid you not, they had sewn Walmart quality non matching appliques over the rips in attempt to conceal them. That was a slap in the face. I showed her, she agreed. She sent it back asking for the fabric to be replaced. I reached out a couple weeks later, and the manager I had been working with had left the company. The dress again came back from Arrow, and when the store closed my dress was transferred to Woods Chapel. I expressly refused to pick up the gown until the changes were made as promised by the manager I was working with, or that I be compensated. I was told from new management that Arrow tried to reach out to the store that created my dress in an effort to get matching materials or another dress, but due to the limited number of dresses of that design that were made, no replacement could be provided. So at that point compensation was the only option. I had put in a call to the store where I had purchased my dress and they confirmed the information they told Arrow and the reimbursement amount for the value of the dress. A woman at their home office spoke to me and said she would be happy to reimburse me for the cost of the cleaning provided i could sent her a receipt ( didn't seem necessary to me since they keep a record of all transactions, but hey just another point of them not wanting to work for the customer) which I mailed to her promptly, however she would have to talk to Arrow about reimbursement for the dress. I called Arrow, they turned it around on Pride Cleaners and would not talk to me because I wasn't "their" customer, Pride Cleaners was. Finally the woman at home office told me that Arrow would not reimburse because it was the designers fault that the dress was made in such a way it that it caused damage... THAT'S RIGHT, THEY BLAMED THE DRESS, NOT THEIR INABILITY TO CHECK A DRESS OVER BEFORE PUTTING IT IN TO GET CLEANED. I would not take that conclusion and battled back with the information from the previous manager at Pride Cleaners, and the designer of the dress whom I reached out to. After all this work over a YEARS time, both stores continued to give me the run around. Pride cleaners to this date has yet to refund me the cost of the cleaning, after sending in the receipt, and Arrow after originally admitted its error, turned around after they realized they'd have to compensate for the dress and tried to quote me B.S. about only wanting to compensate about market value based off of standard statistics from a private textiles association. BOTTOM LINE- neither company will care to own up for any damage ever caused because they do not have a customer service focus. Had the process not dragged on for so long, I would have gratefully submitted all information to the Attorney Generals office but at this point I'd rather tell everyone my story so you can beware. read more
