Unfortunately all good things must come to an end. I've been a patient at Price Medical for many years. Dr. Price is an excellent and caring physician. All the staff at Price Medical is wonderful. This review is not about the staff but the new administration. Since Washington Health Institute (WHI) took over the cost of a visit has more than tripled! Mind you, nothing has change with my health insurance (same coverage, etc.). Before WHI, a visit was just the $30 co-pay. Now, after the co-pay you get another bill from WHI for an additional $30+. Before WHI, the lab work was done at Quest, no additional charges. Now, they changed to LabCorp and you get another bill from LabCorp for $30+. In summary, a visit to Price Medical before WHI was $30 TOTAL (including lab work at Quest). Now is slightly over $100. All the while the healthcare providers seem more rushed... don't know if that has to do with having to meet a quota. read more

I have been a patient of Price Medical for over 10 years. Tim Price is among the best physicians I have ever engaged with. Michael Wilmore is a great PA! The entire staff at the office is attentive, always helpful, and extremely well organized. I've never waited for more than 5 minutes to be seen. In times of need, Dr. Price and his team are there. When I had Covid, Dr. Price was available as many times as I wanted to talk to him. I can't say I look forward to the doctor's office, but I do look forward to seeing the team at Price Medical. read more

I went into my appointment a bit spectacle because it has been a painful journey of finding someone and I kinda had given-up. I'd been putting off going to the doctor for way too long so when the dental partner of my dentist recommended Price Medical, I had high hopes of establishing a relationship with a physician and availing myself of the insurance benefits I've been paying for over the years. At first I got pushback because I was neither a patient referral nor HIV+. But the doctor appreciated that I was referred by a medical colleague and I got my appointment. Upon my first visit, I was very impressed with the super attractive waiting area and the examination room. The receptionist was extremely friendly and professional, and I have to put in a good word for Harry Wehry, the physician's assistant who did my exam. He put me at ease immediately, explained the whats and whys of what he was doing, and even managed to squeeze in drawing some blood so I wouldn't have to return another day just for tests. A doctor visit is obviously establishing a private initmate relationship from the get-go. I am a total advocate for Price Medical. I happened upon the place purely by accident. The doctors are great, the facility is easily accessible and pleasant to boot. It's one of the few places I've been where the docs really remember you, and at least SEEM concerned about your well-being. Shocking. I went here for an annual checkup after a disastrous experience with the Washington Medical Group last year. It initially took some pushing to get an appointment and I had to drop a friend's name who already goes there to get on the list. From the moment you get through the door, the experience is totally calming and reassuring, Myles the receptionist is super nice and helpful and the wait was nonexistent. Harry, the PA, saw me and he is awesome. He totally puts you at ease and actually acted like he cared about my health. He asked detailed questions to get a feel for my family history and personal health, which my previous doctor never did. Also, I hate to say this, but it's just worlds better to have a gay male doctor. There's an instant connection and ease of communication that I've never experienced with a straight doctor. Add in the fact that gay men have specialized health concerns, and Price Medical is built around addressing those, and I'm definitely sold on having a gay doctor. Great practice, great people, and great experience all around. I can't recommend it highly enough. read more

The team at Price Medical have been my GP for over ten years and offer some of the best medical services in the city, especially for gay men. Gay owned- and operated- I have never received any judgement or maliciousness when I have visited. I have rarely waited more than 10 - 15 minutes after arriving to actually see a doctor. They are warm, friendly, prompt, and caring. They also do a great job at aftercare. They spend a good amount of time going over results, options, and next steps. I have never felt like any physical malady was too weird, bizarre, or strange to bring up to them. There attitude is always- we've seen it all before- bring it on. Love these guys. read more

MY DOCTOR!! I have nothing but absolute love and admiration for the good folks at Price Medical! Since moving to DC in 2008 I've seen about 4 doctors. All of whom were ok I guess... It wasn't until this practice that I've actually CARED FOR!! They work as a team to get the job done. When my doctor was out on maternity the team didn't miss a beat. Due to recent changes in my insurance I had to leave Dr. Price, but in my almost 20 years of receiving care in the DMV, which of the last 5 have been with Dr. Price it has be THE BEST care that I have ever gotten. No doctor in the past has ever made me feel like they cared about my well being more than I did like Dr, Price. I have been searching for a clinic like Price Medical for all of my adult life. This is a place that treats its patients with immense respect, especially its LGBT patients. Having experience with sexual orientation discrimination at other clinics, Price Medical has been a dream come true. Dr. Linda Nabha is an exceptional caregiver. She respects her patients and their health with exceptional knowledge and a bedside manner that makes you feel safe and welcomed. She was my primary doctor, and I always felt like my health was safe in her hands. Dr. Nabha is always on the cutting edge of medicine, provides expert advice and care, and is a kind and thorough examiner. The staff at Price Medical are no different, from the kind and familiar faces behind the reception desk, to the practitioners in the lab and administering treatment. I am a first time patient and could not have been happier with my experience at Price Medical. Michael Wilmore was incredibly helpful, informative, and friendly. He explained every step of the process clearly and made me feel very comfortable. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions, providing me with valuable information about my health. He also took the time to get to know me, which really made me feel valued as a patient. It was so nice not to feel rushed during my visit. I definitely received quality care and treatment. Michael was also very patient with me, especially with my insurance information. I really appreciated that he explained that some vaccine shots may not be covered with my insurance and allowed me to investigate with my insurance during the appointment. I would highly recommend Michael to anyone in need of primary care. The facility was great and the service was even better. I am a gay man who moved to the DC area 1 year ago. It is so nice to find a place that specializes in gay men's health. There are so many health concerns that are unique to gay men, and it is so important to be able to speak openly about my sexuality and lifestyle. I used to be a long time patient of Dr. Tim Price, but I had to change doctor's when my insurance changed. I had a very good relationship w/Dr. Price (or so I thought) & was not happy about having to find a new doctor. A year or so later, my insurance changed & I could again see Tim. I was excited to return as his patient, but that was not reciprocated. I do not know how, but Dr. Price had changed. He was irritable, twice looked at his watch during the appointment & did not seem care one damn bit about me. No questions, nothing. In short, he was a complete ass. I switched back to the other doctor after that appointment & never returned. I have thought many times about writing to Tim & letting him know my feelings, but he wouldn't give a damn anyway. It is an aesthetically cold office, to match Dr. Price's bedside manner. Sad. read more

I had my first appointment this a month ago with Mr. Wilmore. First, I want to state that I appreciate being seen very quickly. (Travis was professional, efficient and responsive to my concerns.) I had called and scheduled my appointment early that same morning and met with Mr. Wilmore at 12:30 pm but was seen a bit later. I was referred to their clinic by a number of patients of my own as well as a number of gay friends. Since Price Medical does not accept my health plan I paid out of pocket. Very early on in my meeting with Mr. Wilmore he asked if I was gay or straight. I explained that I am bisexual and that its important for him to know because of a large body of research indicates a vast number of health disparities as compared to the gay and heterosexual communities. He then asked what these health disparities are. As a bisexual man who is sexually active with both men and women, I felt marginalized and invisible within my own community; in particular, by a medical clinic that reportedly specializes in GLBT and MSM health. Overall, I felt Mr. Wilmore did his best to treat me albeit, I left wondering if there are any medical facilities or providers in the DC area that understand bisexual health and can provide culturally sensitive treatment. More importantly, I wondered who would provide much needed education about my and other bisexuals' health care needs especially since the vast majority of MSM and bisexual men do not disclose their identity to anyone including health care providers. I wrote to them via e mail offering additional feedback but never received a response. read more

They set asside a ton of time per patient, have long sidcussions about you and your health and take same day appointments. They are my favorite medical practice that I've ever been to. In addition to everything I've already listed, they are also the nicest most caring people you can immagine. They don't take my insurance and to be honest, I don't care. There can be no monetary value assigned to the excellent care they give you. I don't care what it costs, and I'm arguably poor. That is how good they are. I have been a patient of the Price medical group for approximately 20 years and have always felt very fortunate to be enrolled in the practice. I have felt really well cared for and all of may medical needs, minor and routine up until the present, were always efficiently and effectively managed and addressed. The culture of the practice is such that I have had a real sense of having a medical home(base) and quality relationships with both the support staff, physician assistant, and attending physician. The support staff were always friendly, courteous, and flexible in managing my contacts with the office. On the few occasions that I had a non-routine need for services, they did what was necessary to amend the schedule for my benefit. I recently had my first, really serious medical condition to be addressed and Dr.Price's handling of the situation was really unbelievable. I had to engage with multiple other physicians and he established himself as the coordinator, advocate, comforter, and counselor to guide me through the process. I know that I have been in the practice for quiet a while but the level of personal involvement and emotional investment in my well being that he exhibited was just astounding (I am a health care professional myself). Seriously question a practice that requires you to show-up for at least an Hr eval before anything is done. I called today to schedule a physical exam, and was told that physicals are NOT done on initial visits, and the "First visit will include at least 45 min of history" & "dealing with urgent matters." Given my lack of urgent matters, short medical history, and the office-visit fee that would be billed to my insurance -- this is a BAD sign for this practice -- maybe one that milks as much as possible out of your personal time & insurance plan. read more
