At last Prezzo at Braintree is on the Meerkats list meaning a little bit of saving. We both love Prezzo for a reasonably priced Italian meal. Nothing better after having taken in a good film at Cineworld. I had booked online, just in case, but the restaurant at 5.00 pm was quite empty but gradually filled up during our visit. OK, one slight niggle but not a gripe, an order for drinks should be taken shortly after arrival. I do like a drink while perusing the menu. However, forgetting that, service was from there on, very quick. The chilli prawns with garlic bread, as a starter, were nicely picante and the garlic bread plentiful and delicious. The mains for my partner was a seafood pasta dish which, she said, was full of flavour and had a slight 'bite' to it. My lasagne was a traditional type. Lasagne varies from region to region and restaurant to restaurant. This one was beautifully moist and full of that wonderful tomato taste. Finalised with rich coffee as we were so full and a dessert would have ruined the fantastic full stomach sensation. As I said service was great by Katie, a charming young lady and Milly, assistant Manager. Both worked so hard and made our visit special. Avoid a server by the name of Cassandra, a terrible waitress. Joking as there is no Cassandra. I asked for our servers names and was told by Milly that should this be a bad review then her name was Cassandra. I love service with a sense of humour. Thanks guys and gals for a nice meal and friendliness. Remember #staysafe read more
