I've been here twice and the second time is the last time for a while at least.
Service: Fast, efficient and friendly. But perhaps a little too fast and efficient. It would be nice to relax between courses and to not feel like were being rushed out the door. The waiter explained that there is a policy about not keeping empty plates on the table; dont get me wrong, fantastic! But then we don't need a dessert menu thrust at us as soon as the plates disappear.
Food: The starter to share, was a bit studenty. Cibatta with tuna mayo on one, chicken pesto on the other and tomatoes on the third. The bread and tomatoes could have done with being warm.
For main, my spaghetti carbonara was average, a bit on the dry side but on the whole tasty and edible.
The rest of the table had the inverted pizza (forget the name) which was described as adequate but not a thrill. The worst of the three dishes was the burger which had clearly been forgotten about. The bun was on the slightly burnt side and the meat in the middle close to incineration.
Dessert, my ice cream was, I think Movenpick, which is a brand I like and enjoy eating. The other two, had a pear and something tart which was a bit dry.
Atmosphere: Enjoyable, the music, lighting and setting make it a relaxing place to eat.
I'm disappointed because usually I enjoy this chain of restaurants. read more
