My mum and I had an excellent meal at Prezzo this evening. When we first arrived, the restaurant was empty but filled up in no time and was full by the time we left. Service was friendly, if somewhat on the slow side. We decided to share our starters and so ordered the pulled pork pizzette (mini pizza) and baked mushrooms, which was plenty. I really enjoyed the baked mushrooms with garlic mayo. The pizzette was nice, but it was a bit on the doughy side. For our main courses, I ordered the Asparagus and Mascarpone Panciotti filled pasta, which was delicious!! It tasted fresh and light and was a perfect combination of flavors. It is a nice dish for this time of year and weather. The portion isn't huge, but it was just right and quite filling. My mum had Pappardelle Gorgonzola pasta with chicken, pancetta and vegetables. The portion was huge and she could only manage half of it, but she loved it and said it was delicious. Although we were full, we managed to squeeze in a dessert and had the honeycomb cheesecake. It was on the creamy side for my taste, I prefer a more dense cheesecake, but it was really nice and I would probably order it again, but they have lots of amazing desserts to choose from! When our waitress brought our bill she asked if we had a discount voucher. We didn't have one, but I think a lot of the tables in the restaurant did. We called without a booking. Plenty of tables free but we were told they were not taking walkins until 1.30, it was 12.45. We stepped outside the resturant and made a booking by phone for 1o'clock. When we went back into the resturant we could see they were reluctant to come to us, when they did we were confronted by a very rude waitress who seemed perplexed that we had actually got a booking, she reluctantly let us sit down for drinks only, it was 12.50 but were informed we couldn't order food until 1. Thank goodness for Harry, he was polite, engaged with the customer and very friendly, perfect just how you should be greeted. Manager/Owner he was your saving grace. The rest of the staff we found very unhelpful to the point of rude. Managers you need to train your staff to Harry's standards. I've been here several times it's nice clean place and the food is good maybe a little overpriced but nothing to complain about until it comes to the service the waiting staff are rude and slow even when it's not busy its takes 10 to 15 minutes to get a drink because the waitresses are to busy talking among themselves and when thay do take your order there attitude is disgusting. With new or restrained staff I'd happily give this restaurant 4 starts but until is issue is resolved it only gets 2 stars read more

I tend to go to Prezzos when they do there meal deals has i think you get your moneys worth. The drinks in my opinion are overpriced but thats my only negative thought of the place. The service is fairly good and the place is very clean and tidy. read more

We go to Prezzo's in Gainsborough rather than any other locally as it is set in Marshall's Yard, an oasis in the centre of an otherwise tired town under plans for future refurbishment. The setting is great, cheap parking, £1 for 3 hours and the restaurant, especially for an afternoon meal is quieter than others. The food is spot on, we took the mother in law the other day and we had a giant pizza with sides and drinks that cost £28 leaving us fed and watered enough for the afternoon. The service is excellent, the restaurant has the open oven and kitchen so you can see how clean it is along with watching your food being cooked. In all of the time it has been open we have not been disappointed as with the lack of consistency with other restaurants we have been to recently. read more

This lovely little restaurant is a hit amongst local families in Gainsborough as well as appealing to those in cities further away. Tucked away in a small corner of Marshall's Yard its friendly atmosphere, stylish interior design (which unfortunately for me, lacked a certain charm), and agreeable menu prices are also great selling points for the little eatery. All ingredients are individually and seasonally sourced from Italy to create the best possible flavours that Prezzo can offer. The menu features award winning pizzas, tasty calzones, salads and pastas and other delicious foods. To add to this, an extensive selection of bottled Italian wines can be chosen. The food on this occasion was not to the standard that I have previously tasted and I was very disappointed. The staff, however, were very welcoming and extremely friendly and made me feel that this was a one off and would not be happening again; which was very reassuring. All in all, I recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to have a great meal with some great people. read more
