My daughter was just married at Hudson Gardens and Pretty Petals did the flowers. The wedding was in the Rose Garden, and as the venue was gardens, it seemed that flowers were mostly superfluous. Nonetheless, bouquets for the bride and bridesmaids, corsages and boutonnieres, were lovely, fresh and delivered right on time. And, at a much lower cost than any other florist we found. What's not to like about good and friendly service, high quality and very competitive prices. And as a favor to Yelpers, here are the other service providers who also made this a perfect day for my daughter, son-in-law and our families: Hudson Gardens (the Rose Garden) - 5 stars. What a lovely venue for an outdoor, summer wedding! Access is easy and there is abundant parking. The gardens are beautiful, the grounds are meticulously manicured, and the staff are helpful and friendly. Biscuits and Berries Catering - 5 stars - the food was excellent as were the hard-working staff who clearly went some extra miles to be sure everyone was taken care of and everything was special. Peak Beverage - 5 stars - purveyor of soft drinks and adult beverages. Like the caterer, Peak's staff were wonderful and clearly went extra miles to be sure that everything was special. Classic Photographers (Dmitriy K) - 5 stars - Dmitriy was our main photographer but they also deployed a second photographer for the ceremony itself so that events could be captured from multiple perspectives. Very professional and at the same time very efficient. Remarkably accommodating - in addition to the usual suite of wedding photographs, Dmitriy shot every cluster and cohort of individuals, families and attendees requested of him. A Music Plus - 5 stars - we had an excellent DJ who handled and accommodated all requests in terms of the processionals, recessional, first dance and reception. Understand that nothing about a wedding is inexpensive. On the other hand, you can't put a price tag on some things and you don't mind paying for quality. There was way more green filler in the flowers she received compared to the ones featured online. This will be short and sweet because this whole experience was as such. I arrived in the area, just on a visit, and felt the great desire to make someones day. On that note, I jumped on Yelp and looked for a local florist to help me make that so. To be honest, I was looking for a place that I could just walk in, grab a pre-made thing, be on my way out and look pretty cool. I chose this place based on the high reviews and some pictures. I liked what I saw and read. So I went about looking for this place. I Google map'd it and was on my way. I followed the instructions and...passed it. Turned around and passed it again. It was then I realized I didn't know what the hell I was looking for. So, I parked, got out and wandered the street it was on, like a crazy person. I may have walked up to another person's house. I claim nor deny nothing. They had nice furniture. So I decided to use they other use of my smartphone: The phone part. I called the business and went about the awkward task of asking a few questions that just screamed I had no idea what I was doing. I asked if there was a display room, if there was anything ready-made, and where the hell I was goin! She said there was no display room or anything pre-made. The store was actually in her garage. That garage was in the house next to the one I was in front of and, may or may not have, stood at the door for way too long without knocking. I went over and, sure enough, there was a garage full of flower clippings, boxes, vases, bows, ribbons, work areas and a small TV playing soap operas. I walked in and informed her I was the one who called and admitted I really went out on a limb with this and asked her what she had. It was then we began to construct an original piece from what she had left. It was closing time and she was shutting down for the weekend so the supply was limited, according to her. Well what she was limited to was exactly what I was feeling. She gave me options and recommendations and we went about piecing together my own lil work of art. In a few minutes we had created some that was amazing to look at. It was better than anything I could have found, pre-made, and I had the warm feeling of knowing I created this, just for someone special. She put it all in a nice vase and wrapped it in a bow and, before you knew it, I was out the garage and on my way. The cost was very satisfactory and the experience was worth every cent. Tack on the smile it created, from the recipient, and I can say this was the best choice I could have ever made, in terms of finding a florist on short short notice. While I don't recommend doing it the way I did it, nor loitering around a random house for a few minutes, I have zero hesitation recommending this place to any and all, for their floral needs, no matter what the occasion is. I ordered the "Joey" arrangement from Pretty Petals online, the day before my friend was supposed to give birth at a hospital in Littleton. Not long after, Barb called me to verify the address and even said she could get it delivered that day! I didn't need that, as my friend wasn't at the hospital yet, but wow! What service!! Things got complicated when the day of delivery I learned early in the morning that my friend was having to change hospitals, to one in Lone Tree. I called the shop, and Barb was very helpful and got the address changed. She was honest and admitted that she wasn't as familiar with that hospital but that it would get taken care of, and she totally came through! The flowers got to my friend at the correct place, and looked beautiful! Perfect for celebrating the birth of their little boy! I'm in California and needed to send flowers to a friend in Littleton. I read the reviews here and decided to order the "Lucy" arrangement. I also upgraded to "Deluxe" so with delivery, the cost was $100.78. My friend loved the arrangement and sent me a photo. Everything looked super fresh (roses, Gerbera daisies, and assorted filler flowers). I have received flowers from this shop twice sent by out of town relatives. Both ties the arrangements were beautiful when they arrived. I followed the instructions for preserving the life of the cut flowers but found in both instances the flowers began to die in three days. I telephoned the shop regarding the first delivery and was told that the guarantee was for one week and I was calling on the sixth day. I had my wedding flowers done here. I give them props because I only gave them two weeks to get the flowers even though I had been in contact with them for months. I was disappointed because I had given them some pictures to give them an idea of different bouquets that I liked and I had talked to the woman to let her know these are just some ideas. I also emphasized that if she needed to change flowers because she couldn't get them in time it would be alright I would just like to know what she changed them to, but she reassured me she would be able to get them it just might cost more. When the day came I received them on time but it turned out she had literally had copied some of the bouquets and didn't even try to incorporate them together, which wasn't so bad. What the worst thing about this was when I get to the reception cite I found that half of the groomsmens calla boutonnieres where having the flower heads fall off AND it turned out the bridesmaids bouquets had yellow calla lilies that where PAINTED yellow. I'm not really against the painting but I had talked to the woman letting her know I wasn't set particular flower and wouldn't need yellow calla lilies if she couldn't get them but she never saw it fitting to warn me that she needed to paint them. Short of two weeks before our sons wedding, I found out that the wedding venue's florists recommendation was only working part time. They did not even have 5 vases for the table arrangements. I worked for a florist for years and wanted something specific for the wedding. Barb came through for us!! I am the mom of the groom and live in SC so it was hard for me to order flowers over the phone well before we arrived in CO. Just a note; I called 6 florists in the Littleton area. Barb was the only one that answered my call that day. She knew exactly what I wanted and did a gorgeous job when they arrived at the venue. The delivery person was wonderful and was very helpful. Can't say enough good things about Pretty Petals. Both of my sisters and I used Petals for our weddings in April 2007, Sept 2009 and Oct 2012. All 3 of us were more than happy with the flowers. For my own wedding, Pretty Petals was one of the only vendors who I had absolutley zero problems with. Barb was so easy to work with, helped me stay within my budget, while still getting the flowers I wanted. On my wedding day, when everything else was going wrong, Barb stayed after she delivered the flowers and helped all of the groomsmen with their boutonnieres.
