Awful. This place was good in the 90's, so in October, when I decided I wanted just a regular manicure (no tips, no acrylics) with polish, I figured I would go there. I don't know what has happened or changed, but this place is terrible now. I even brought my own polish and was still overcharged. The man there ruined my natural nails with a dremel. He also did a horrible job painting them. The polish was bubbled and it started coming off the same day. I called asking to have them redone. The woman there, Tina, redid them at no charge but was a bit rude in my opinion. She was on the phone when I came in and stayed on the phone, talking in another language the ENTIRE time I was there. Did not speak to me at all. The place also could have been cleaner. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

They lied to every person that came into their establishment, saying it would be a 10-15 minute wait. There were 6-7 people already waiting. I was there for about 2 hours. My friends and I came in with an appointment, there were only two people working and were so unprofessional! They kept taking in people even though they were understaffed--using all of the same USED nail tools (gross) while they hopped around each customer. The lady that was working there was also on her phone talking and yelling the entire time. Our nails were very rushed and ended up THICK and BUMPY!! So disappointed. Oh boy. Where do I begin? This place is awful. I went here with a friend. We both received terrible service. There was only 2 workers, and about 5 people getting feet and nails done when we first walked in. We waited FOREVER before they actually got to our pedicures. 25 dollars for a pedicure basically included cutting the skin under by big toe where I was bleeding the whole time, barely scrubbing with the pumice stone, you had to ask to have the nails clipped, and oh yes, nails are totally crooked. The pedicure lasted about 10 minutes, and no scrubbing or exfoliating. They halfass the lotion massage and throw in 1 hot rock, which was actually burning my leg and not very enjoyable. And I cannot leave out that my friend did not even receive the lotion massage and hot rock until after her toes had already been painted! Only reason we came here was because our regular place, Pro Nails down Philo is closed on Mondays. That place is great! And its only 21 dollars. Do NOT come here, you will be greatly disappointed. read more

Went in to remove my dip manicure and get a pedicure. First of all, she literally ripped my manicure off instead of soaking and using a dremel like every other place in town. The pedicure was really great. My biggest complaint is that the price posted on their wall said pedi/mani was $50. They charged me $65 stating that it was $15 extra to remove a dip manicure. This was posted nowhere, I've never ran into any salon charging extra for this and keep in mind she literally just yanked the polish off (along with my top nail layer). Will never go back which is a shame because the pedicure was nice. read more

Absolutely thrilled with the manicure I received here! They seemed short staffed at first, but remedied that with a phone call. My friend and I just walked in. The manicure was so impressive in that the ladies paid attention to detail and paid extra attention to the edges of the the nails when applying Shellac for my friend and the Gelish for me. My nails show no sign of wear after 2 weeks of harsh treatment except for a small chip. I am a former server/bartender and constant hand washer. This nail color and lacquer has lasted through washing my dog, the dishes, daily showering and hair washing, cleaning the bathroom (deep cleaning!) I was skeptical about paying $30 for a manicure because I have had plenty of manicures that were supposed to be "chip proof" but disappointed in the end. I called Pretty Nails today to see how much they charge for a pedicure. I was quoted "$28", which I thought seemed like a fair price, and so I headed over. This is my first professional pedicure as I'm admittedly a tightwad when it comes to spending money on myself. However, I'm no longer physically able to do this myself and my feet were in serious need of attention after the winter. I was very happy with the service I received, my feet feel much better, and my toenails look nice. Had it not been for the very last part of my experience before leaving I would have gladly given them "5 Stars". What changed my mind on that was the bait and switch they pulled with the price. It was the owner (or at least a manager... but with this sort of shop I'm putting money on it that she is the owner) who answered when I had called and who greeted me when I arrived. She even said "Were you the one who just called me?" when I told her the service that I had come in for. So, she knew very well the price that she quoted me when we spoke on the phone. She was also the same one who instructed the lady who took my payment on how much to charge me. I heard the conversation take place right in front of me and "Fourty Five" was spoken, in English, by both women. Maybe they had a legitimate reason for changing the price but, if they did, they did not communicate this with me and I certainly did not agree to a higher price prior to them providing service to me. If $45 is the price of the service you offer that is fine. I'm not even going to say that it was too much for the service provided. However, do not quote me one price and then charge me another if you care to have any repeat business from me or a decent online review. I thought about not tipping but that would have only hurt the poor woman who did most of the work (and I'll assume in good faith that this is who will get the tip that I left). read more

Overpriced and poor quality. For 38 dollars for a mani-pedi, I'd expect not to get burned by the hot stones or have my manicure chip within hours. It's been 48 hours and there is NO indication that I ever had a manicure, since my polish is gone and my cuticles are still ragged. Pedicure was decent except for the aforementioned too-hot stones. I had a horrifying at Pretty Nails Spa! I wouldn't even recommend this salon to my greatest enemy. My friend and I made our appointments for midday and followed a google address which turned out to be old, so we were stranded in an unknown location. That should've been a warning sign to us! We ended up finding it after multiple calls with the owner. Once we got there we saw that there were only two people working which would've been fine if there wasn't a long line of people waiting to get services! They had to keep switching places and attending all the people which made this entire experience/process excruciatingly long. My nails didn't end up AS bad as my friend's. My friend expressed her disgust which the lady didn't seem to understand. The nail polish was old and their techniques were sloppy. Once again, this experience was one of the worst. read more

I have been here on several occasions over the last 13 months and I fear that my most recent visit is the final one. I am annoyed easily so things like the wife chatting on her iPhone while she's clipping my nails (and I'm trying to relax); the husband and wife getting in small arguments; or most recently, the mother-in-law playing incredibly loud music from her laptop because she had nothing else to do are all moments of irritation that I write off as my own issues. What I cannot write off is a $10 manicure-pedicure (plus design) that I'm being charged $43 for. And frankly, it's embarrassing that I have recommended this place to friends who had to pay the same amount for such poor work. My friend's pedicure was ruined on both left and right feet the day after she received service; my own manicure is already chipping as is the mani of my other friend; and they don't do a very good job of monitoring the heat of their stones. I have received two kind of icky burns including one at this last visit. They seem to be getting lazier because my design was inconsistent from both sides and the wife only used one color, where normally she uses at least two and tries to make it relatively uniform. On top of that not being uniform, they arbitrarily clip the nails of one hand and not the other and I was pretty irritated that they decided to do the hot stones after my toe nails had been painted. Consequently, they had to redo some of their own work by my request. I'm not going to give it one star because they still treat me far better than U&I Nails did, but it's time to find a new nail place for sure. read more

I had a mani-pedi today. The young woman who did the pedicure did a fantastic job! The young man who did the manicure gave me the absolute worst manicure of my life! He was sloppy, rough, hurried. I have extremely rough edges now on my nails and more polish on my fingers than on my nails. He couldn't or wouldn't understand what I wanted him to do - which was get the polish off my fingers.
