Stopped by as usual and a VERY rude manager refused to give me an extra cup to share with my husband my large decaf americano. I'm a regular at Pret and I rarely find such a rude way to treat customers. Why hire people who can't do a decent job. Stress and busy stores are not excuses. read more

Pret A Manger - Pesto Chicken Strawberry & Burrata Salad with Pret's Simple Vinaigrette - Sandwiches Near Me - New York, New York

Fine for a quick bite to eat. The sandwiches are pre made. I got a ham and cheese. It was a bit chaotic and when I walked in I wasn't sure what exactly I was supposed to do. read more

Pret is the absolute worst. I don't know about their espresso drinks but the brewed/drip coffee is straight trash, toilet water. Coffee and milk used to be self-pour and once in a while a good employee would even give it to you free of charge. Those days are over. It's pathetic that I have to ask someone for napkins. Not even Starbucks or Dunkin' would stoop that low. Anyone who pays $40 a month for Club Pret is getting scammed. Go to Cafe Grumpy (downstairs in Rockefeller Center) or Ground Central on 45th (1166 6th Ave) if you want real coffee. I don't want to see a long line at Pret ever again. read more

Came here for a caffeine + snack pick-me-up after watching the Rockettes Christmas Spectacular and Pret A Manger did the trick! This place is good if you need something convenient, fast, and straightforward -- it's very no frills so don't expect independent, hipster, young working professional cafe vibes but it does the job. I ordered a large latte with almond milk. My friends ordered lattes with whole milk, a latte with oat milk + vanilla syrup, and a harvest oatmeal cookie. There's a +0.50 or 0.75 cent extra charge for dairy alternatives and added syrup. The coffee was slightly bitter and acidic; I usually never add sugar to my lattes but this time I had to add 3 packets. Service was fairly quick! We all got our drinks within 5-10 minutes. Of their two bathrooms downstairs, one was out of service so I waited about 10 minutes to use the bathroom :( The store could also be a little cleaner. The table we sat at still had stains and crumbs from previous patrons. read more

This is a convenient little place to grab a sandwich while on the go. They have a convenient selection of premade sandwiches in the refrigerator case. Get the onion chips- they are the best. The service is quick when paying. It would be great if they had more locations around the US as this is a quick and convenient business model. read more

I placed a pickup order and made it to the store before it was ready. An associate noticed me looking at the pickup area right away and went back to the kitchen to bring it up to me pretty quickly. That was super nice and out of the way of him to do that. Foods pretty good, very convenient as I work right beside this place. Will come again for the service and speed. Although the pricing is a bit high, it is worth it (at least for the food. I'm no coffee drinker). read more

Pret A Manger - Corn, chicken, chia rice - Sandwiches Near Me - New York, New York

Pret A Manager can be described in very simple one word terms--like--quick, easy, simple, convenient, and delicious. The food appears to be made with quality ingredients. The ingredients are very simple and easy to read. What you see is what you get, which is always great. The almond croissant is tasty, not too sweat, savory, and about 300 calories. The middle interior of the almond croissant has a good amount of cream. It has decent price point of $3.19. I do, however, think it should be a little cheaper in price. The store is very clean and sleek with a European aesthetic. Staff was very responsive and productive in terms of getting customers in and out in a fast and efficient manner. The staff also wore face masks. read more

Staff was extremely nasty to customers. They made faces and rolled their eyes at customers when someone would ask a question. The coffee wasn't fresh and when they didn't have the type I wanted, I asked politely if they were brewing more, the girl looked at me and said "did you look on the other side?" (It wasn't on the other side) so I put my cup down and left. read more

Damn the sandwiches here are expensive. 7 bucks for a shrimp sandwich? I thought I was getting seriously ripped off. But then I realized it actually tastes pretty damn good. The shrimps were nice and fresh and light to the palate. You don't feel bloated or crappy after eating the food here. The strawberry lemonade was also pretty darn pricey. $2.50 for a small bottle? But again, it tastes good so I don't mind THAT much. The egg salad sandwich was also nice. I also can't complain about their coffee. Bottom line, if you want a decent lunch on the go and don't want to feel like shit, this is a great option. read more

This place is convenient with everything already made, but it's a bit pricey for the portions you're getting. Shrimp and cilantro wrap: Small and thin. Had a lot less shrimp that I thought. Mostly stuffed with greens. (Maybe I just grabbed an unluckily scant wrap. I don't know.) The taste was fairly decent. Tomato soup: Size large is still a small portion, which will not fill you up, of course, and it's like $5. So, I paid $12 for a meal that didn't fill me up at all. read more

Decent spot if you have NO TIME to pick up food. Everything is ready-made and prepared for take-out and you just have to pick it up and pay. Decent selection of sandwiches, salads, wraps, and chips. The quality of the sandwiches you find completley depends on the time of day you go. Before the lunch rush, you'll be able to find nice sandwiches with good portions of meat in them, but people will pick and choose over the day so if you go too late, you'll be left with a few sandwiches that look like nothing more than a few pieces of greens sticking out between two pieces of baguette. Portions seem a bit small for the price though. Just about everything they have sandwich/wrap wise is between $7 and $9. If their bread wasn't so good, I'd say a deli was a better deal and a better meal 90% of the time. The wraps are long and thin - picture a slightly larger version of a taquito. They list a whole bunch off ingredients but they seem to have lots of veggies/filler and not that much meat. The baguette sandwiches are about 7-8 inches. The bread is really wonderful and the hot sandwiches are the best they have to offer. Some of the items I've had: *Southwest Breakfast Wrap - MAYBE had 2 eggs, hard to tell since the entire thing was beans. Did not see or taste ANY bacon as advertised. I'd pass on this. $5 after tax *Hoisin Duck wrap - Small amount of duck, lots of spinach and cucumbers. I dont think i saw any hoisin sauce or mayo as advertised. Good but nothing special $8 after tax If you aren't pressed for time, go to any of the deli's nearby and get a real sized wrap for the same prices. *Southwest/BBQ Chicken HOT sandwich $8 - probably their best sandwich. Good mounts of chicken and mix-ins on a toasted baguette. You won't find much that beats it. *Chicken Cesar Bacon wrap $8 - one of their top items. If you're lucky you can find one with a decent amount of chicken. Wish it had more sauce though. *Tomato and Feta Soup - meh, pretty average. Feta taste is almost non-existent and the soup is a bit on the thin/watery side. For $6 for a large i expected more. read more

The staff here are so incredibly rude for no reason. Go to any one of the other coffee shops in the area over here.

I came here for lunch out of the continence of their well-priced pre made sandwiches and nostalgia from my London trip. Their sandwiches are still just as good, fast service, clean air-conditioned dining space, and friendly staff. Their bathroom was out of service unfortunately. That's kind of a big deal in this area. read more

Kind of hectic and for a first timer, it's a little overwhelming at times but overall, it was okay though I would have liked signs or for employees to tell me where things were. I initially thought I'd have to go ask for a fork for my food until I looked and found them on my own. I got a chicken caesar salad here though I feel a bit ripped off at having to pay 75 cents for dressing (especially when I was getting a chicken CAESAR salad i.e. shouldn't it come w/caesar dressing???). I'm a pickier eater so not the best choice for me unless I can get something custom made but it came in handy when I wasn't able to remember where Chop't was & had to get food in a hurry. read more

Stopped by here with 3 family members and boy was it crowded. I wouldn't expect anything less right by times square so i wont take away a star because i did enjoy my experience. The only issue was seating. I started with the chicken noodle soup, the portion was small and just right! Then i had the southern bbq chipotle chicken of some sort, absolutely delicious and kind of zesty. Topped with off with some strawberry lemonade - refreshing. Now i know its a place i can stop by to get good food considering they have so many locations. read more

I was in here today around 3:00 PM. I already had had lunch but after a meeting and walking for about an hour I was hungry. I came in here because I figured I could get some soup. I was looking for the soup pots- couldn't find any. Just when I thought I would have to get soup by ordering from the staff, I saw a wall wiith shelves of soup containers, large and small. I chose the Aztec Quinoa Chili. The soups come in two sizes, 8 ounces and 12 ounces. I chose the 12 ounces since it was only $4.99, $1.00 more than the 8 ounces size. The Aztec chilii was "tender cannellini, pinto beans, quinoa, amranth and millet wih peppers, onions, corn, cilantro, ancho chile, lime juice." The soup was spicy. It was also green, like there were tomatillos in there. Once I went to the cash register I was asked if I wanted bread. I said yes. I was given a warm whole wheat roll, at no extra charge. read more

Customer experience is bleak. Quality of the food, outstandingly delicious. Disappointed to see there's a shortage of staff to help customers check out. I've been coming to this location for a few weeks now and I have to say I really like it. Besides the very friendly and helpful staff they are one of the very few places that have tasty, healthier choices to choose from. Yogurt cups creations with fruits, nuts and honey and granola freshly prepared and ready to go. Sandwiches hot and cold, salads and fresh fruit. Also plenty to drink from coffee, water, freshly prepared juices and so on. Great for on the go or stay in and have a bite. Definitely recommend this place. Healthier choices. read more

I really believe this is the best grab and go lunch place in midtown, it's always fresh, good ingredients, plenty of choice, lots of healthy, vegan and gluten free options. Always my go-to spot when I need to grab and run. It's not cheap by any means, but I feel like in this area even a deli turkey/cheese will run you in the vicinity of $10 so might as well have something that's actually good for you... read more

This is a terribly run place. I really like the frittatas they have for breakfast, but they are constantly out of them. If I show up at 10 am, they say I am too late. If I show up at 8 am, they say I am too early. Nobody is helpful and I'm not sure anyone is in charge. Plus they don't manage the lines well, so the whole thing feels like a cattle car. Hard pass from now on, I can get breakfast elsewhere. read more

Walked into Pret thinking this would be the perfect spot for a snackie. Lots of veggie sandwiches & soups from which to choose - yay! ( esp as the Pret in Chicago was totally not veggie-friendly ) Mr & I split the Tomato & Brie sandwich - tomatoes tasted kinda frozen & there was minimal brie but the bread was a nice soft French baguette & overall, while we've had better, it was a passable sandwich The egg salad looked tempting as well but we were still pretty full from breakfast & really only wanted a lite snack + somewhere to rest for a few min before our Play - to avoid standing outside the theater too long Free WiFi for customers - get a code on your receipt! Free Restroom - get the code on your receipt.......unfortunately their restrooms were all kinds of NASTY Dirty to the point I was a bit afraid to utilize the facilities but just kept telling myself not to think about it Even though the doors had a keycode, there was such a huge line that people were just holding the doors open for everyone else.....but nice in theory that they were for customers only......just don't touch ANYTHING So as an escape from the cold & a place to check some emails while nibbling on a sandwich, this place is A-OK read more

Over priced, not that great. I actually eat here fairly often because there are so many. I got a sandwich, soup and soda for $17 and change today. Quality wise, I feel it's worth $12/$13. The staff is generally nice and they give you muffins and coffee on the house sometimes. Personally, I prefer Lenwich/Lenny's sandwich shop. Edit: the brownie bite was amazing. I'll come back just to get coffee and the brownie. read more

This is my favorite Pret to meet in, especially when I need a space for meetings at 6:30 a.m. It's generally quiet during the early mornings, but gets insane real quick, closer to 7 a.m. Fortunately, most people take food to go instead of staying inside. I like the way the dark roast coffee tastes, even though a small cup will run over $2, which makes the coffee here just as expensive as Starbucks. I am a huge fan of the croissant, but it's midtown, so be prepared to pay quite a bit for a tiny portion. It is no secret that life's expensive here. read more

Was in midtown and I needed some sustenance. It was my first time at a Pret A Manger . It was weekday lunch time and it was busy. The food looked really fresh. Had a hard time selecting what to eat. I agree that the food is fresh here and I love the fact that it's nicely organized with price & calorie information right there for you to see. My only gripe is with an incident that just occured today at lunch. I ordered a salad and asked for a piece of bread. The cashier informed me that although she'll give me a piece of bread, it's not normally something they do. Bread is reserved for soup buyers only. If everyone asked for bread, they'd run out of bread for the soup people. I mentioned that all salad franchises nearby offer bread and although she agreed she said "If everyone here asked for bread, they'd run out of bread for the soup people. " I wanted to add "Just make more bread!" but I was starving at the time and wanted to eat. I let it go. Honestly, my salad cost $8.70 incl. tax. I don't think I it should have been such a big deal. Buyers of salad only beware. read more
