'I've experienced better' is an understatement.. I've been coming here for a long time now and the customer service standards just seem to keep falling. All the smiles and 'good mornings' in the world do not make up for bad service!
I brought up 2 baked pastries to the till, and asked for a pain au raisin to go. Not only are the baked pastries ALWAYS just shoved in the bag as opposed to being laid flat to avoid the food from falling out before you sit down to eat it (anyone who buys the baked pastries will know what I'm on about), but I was also sent on my way without the extra pain au raisin, though I had been charged. After telling them this, I was quickly handed the pastry and a napkin so that he could continue with his next order. I stood at the desk re-arranging the contents of the bag so it wouldn't come out looking like a squashed pile of bread, but as I went to grab the napkin, he'd already taken it off the desk and handed it to someone else for their meal instead!
Not at all the service I expect after having been coming here most mornings for over a year. Everyone knows that Pret in general is a bit pricey, but even for the sake of convenience I'm not sure I'll continue to be a 'loyal customer' much longer. read more
