A bakery that doubles as a cafe and stays open really late. I love Euphorium's bread and, even better, its all half-price after 8pm. Many's the night I've cycled home from Upper Street clutching armfuls of day-old ciabatta! There are also sweet pastries, such as pain au chocolat, and savouries like pies and pizza slices.

From outside it looks like a simple bakery but at the back, there is a patio with a cosy atmosphere, comfortable sofas and a huge gold mirror when you can admire yourself and people around. Pizzas aren't italian but they are yummy if you like vegetarian food. The cheesecake is really nice at £3 and you can choose among peer, lemon, strawberry or blueberry. The most part of the staff is french so this brings authenticity to all the different breads you can buy there.

I often visit Euphorium to sit quietly, enjoy a really good cup of coffee and devour one of their many yummy pastries or cakes. Speaking of cakes, I strongly recommend their Chocolate Marquis! I ordered one for a party and it was extremely devilish, it is the perfect pudding for all chocoholics. Not too bitter and not too sweet, the chocolate swirls just melt in your mouth. Their recently opened shop opposite the green nearer Angel looks beautiful and I am loving it. With a huge variety of breads and pastry goodies on show, with the smell of freshly baked bread wafting out the door it's extremely inviting. The décor is fab and on trend, I especially love the Wheat pattern that flows up onto the ceiling. Very cozy and I am looking forward to a winter Hot Chocolate in front of the fire place in one of their old leather chairs. The only negative thing I can think of is that sometimes it is crowded because its so busy! "Join the British baking revolution"... I'm there!

I decided to return early the next morning, and we were seated quickly. The staff is friendly and attentive. The cafe is quirky with shelves of vintage books and customer napkin art. You read that correctly - napkin art. A craft of water with fresh mint came out quickly. We ordered Americana coffees and I had the Eggs Drury. The food came out fairly quickly. My poached eggs were served on a massive bed of bacon and fresh made English muffins. The English bacon was incredibly delicious. It is no wonder that there are lines waiting to dine here. My husband had one of their premade breakfast sandwiches, made on fresh rolls, which he loved. There was a service charge added to the bill. I would definitely recommend and return.

I ordered the chorizo sandwich; the bread had a good crunch and the sun dried tomato added a bonus pop of flavor. The real winner and bar-setter for me was their iced vanilla latte. I'm not sure if it was the espresso or the vanilla syrup they used but it was probably the best latte I had. Inside the restaurant has lots of character and you can get more info on the decorations. Employees were kind and handled the business of the day with ease. If anyone happens to see this from the cafe, I'd really love to know what vanilla syrup is used as I'm still thinking about that latte weeks later!

Their servings are HUGE, and are so affordable too! I left wishing my mother and I had the ability to save our leftovers for later, because we hated wasting any of the delicious food that we ordered. Even before we got our food we were pretty excited. When you walk in you're greeted here with a beautiful sight: fresh sandwiches, bread, and pastries, all on display right at their main counter. Once we were seated I noticed little flower pots line the window, too. Fresh food and flowers - what more can you ask from a cafe for a first impression? We also loved the owner and his wife: they were very kind and they constantly kept us up to date on our food order, just to mention what was done and what they still needed to do or cook. They clearly work hard to provide fresh fast meals - and we learned quickly as people came in and out of the place that takeaway is available here. But we wanted to enjoy a sit down meal, and enjoy we did! I started mine with fresh squeezed juice - we're talking so fresh you'll want to add sugar to it if you're used to the juice that comes in stores. And when our English breakfasts came out? Just, wonderful. My mother and I each received SO much food. Both meals came with amazing buttered bread (like, I would have happily eaten an entire plate of bread and only bread), hash browns so fresh that they may as well have given us the original potatoes (yum), and what I can really only describe as a mountain of beans, eggs, and meat (well, on mine anyway - not so much on my mother's vegetarian breakfast order). All of it absolutely delicious, and every single bite made me smile wider and wider. Definitely walk on in if you're near this little shop. Don't be afraid to order one meal and share it if there's only two of you, either - you'll likely both leave well fed, and you can always order a little more food if you want too from that great looking counter of theirs...
