He touched everything he possibly could with bare hands, including the inside of the ink holders with his fingers. His unwashed hands, touched the needles. And when he asked me to see the picture of what I wanted, he acted like we never texted and was confused on his own words. He forgot he told me on text that color ink is a $10 upcharge. When he walked in he told me it was $20 but stuck with the $10 previously. And when I said I didn't want my tattoo anymore, he said the set up fee was $50 when the tattoo and tip was going to be $39. I tipped $40 and left to avoid incident. I do not recommend going to Richard at Forever Art. Horrible vibe with him from the start. Also avoid getting a sickness or worse with unsanitary habits. Go with someone else, or even elsewhere. A guy walked him after me and got his tattoo started in minutes. Richard from forever art, was clearly out of his mind at that time. Mumbling under his own breath as if he was mad at life. And mixed him together and responded with anger. All while I'm here for a small flash tattoo. Wasted my time and money and a good shower I had before meeting him.

His attention to detail, professionalism, and talent made the whole experience amazing. We couldn't be happier with how our tattoos turned out! A huge shoutout to April as well for my eyebrow piercing. She was incredibly informative, took the time to answer all of my questions, and genuinely cared about my health and healing. I originally wanted to get multiple piercings in one day, but instead of just making the sale, she explained why it would be better to wait so my body could heal properly. That level of honesty and care says a lot about the shop and their commitment to their clients. The vibe from the moment we walked in was so calming, welcoming, and amazing. Everyone made us feel comfortable, and it was clear they truly care about the people who walk through their doors. I'll definitely be back for the rest of my piercings and more tattoos. If you're looking for talented artists who genuinely care about their clients, I 100% recommend Powers Tattoo & Piercings. Thank you, Rusty and April, for making our anniversary experience one we'll always remember!

Well... this review is mainly about a tattoo artist named Danni Magee. The Phat Tats place was…read moreclean, other artists seemed friendly, and an overall great atmosphere. We originally walked in with some friends and got an appointment with tattoo artist Danni Magee to create tattoos in memory of our 15 year old son, who we lost 2 years prior. We went back 2 days later for our appointment. She seemed a bit bossy with others (so I thought she owned the place, but she doesn't), and she seemed a little too "sure of herself" but I loved what she drew up from the pictures I gave her and went ahead with the tattoo. Even when my husband was trying to explain what he wanted, she cut him off and said " I got this. Don't worry about it!" Which might be these case, but she should have taken the time to listen when someone is describing something permanent they are placing on their body and is nervous about it. Her "chair-side" manner leaves a lot to be desired. Beware if she doesn't like you, as She talked about putting hidden "dicks" in people's tattoos... kind of immature. She seems to have an "issue" with a lot of people and talks negatively about them. She only completed 1/2 of my husbands tattoo, she seemed agitated, in a hurry, it was late, I guess she was tired and ready to go home (in all fairness we were there almost 6 hours for two tats) and we were told I would need to come back for color touchups in mine, and he would need to complete his tattoo at a later date and do his color then. Kind of disappointed, but we agreed to come back weeks later after they healed. We called to make an appointment (two hours away from where we live) so she could: A) Finish up the tattoo she started on my husband but didn't get to finish (though we paid full price already) B) Do my touch up (as we were told touchups were included) She seemed super rude on the phone when she booked my husband's return appointment, and then we asked if I could get mine done the same day since we were traveling from out of town. Then she told us "Well, I guess I'll have to reschedule my paying customers to do you two" - as if we didn't pay already. Then My husband tells her, "No, you don't need to do that, we can come another time when you have an opening", she said, "well too late its already done!" In a very rude voice. Then she said "Look its my day off and I would like to get back to being with my family" with serious attitude in her voice. She acts as if we are inconveniencing her... which is crazy. Super unprofessional in my opinion. I told my husband this morning that this memorial tattoo means a lot to me, and while I am happy with the design and how it came out for the most part, I don't want her ugly attitude and bad energy to be the one that finishes the color on mine. I think we will take our chances and pay more to get them finished/touched up somewhere local. Unfortunately money lost, but lesson learned, and I would never recommend her to anyone.

Are their artists posting their work? Is it CLEAN! Is it a "tourist" type of joint ... or are their locals going there to get their work done? Well let me tell ya, Electra Art ... checks off all the boxes! I was referred there by locals who visit regularly. Upon entering, a clean, classic tattoo parlor vibe was very prevalent, but not on steroids. I was greeted by (and subsequently worked on) by Danni. **Quick aside, Danni is THE lady ya want doin your work. She's no nonsense, gives it to ya straight but has a light hand and her work is straight legit! No shade on the other artists ... but she was mine and she's awesome!** The space is well lit, clean and the artists have their own spaces which affords some privacy. Danni was very open to what I wanted and walked me through the necessary tweaks to make my idea land right on the skin! She explained every step and executed like a champ! We talked during the process and got to know each other. She gave clear instructions and the entire process went smoothly. All in all, a great experience from a great artist at the oldest tat joint in Corpus Christi! Thanks Danni!!! Thanks Electra Art!!!

I asked my other friend who also went here and he told me that the dude that pierces charges you 10$ to unscrew it. That alone let me know that this dude is very weird & money hungry. If you are purposely screwing eyebrow piercings tight so that people can come back to you and you can charge them, That is weird.
