Super unprofessional. Super expensive. I got 2 very small tattoos, $180!! My friend was referred and I wanted to get tatted too so I said why not. We went in the day before, assuming we were going to get set up for the next day. No. We paid and signed and left. Already super suspicious to me. We were supposed to have our appointment at 12, he changed it to 2 and didnt show up until 2:30 because he was at the beach. We didn't leave until about 4:30/5. Ridiculous. Jeremy (my artist & I assume owner) said some things that made the situation really uncomfortable. One week later, both my tattoos were fading. My last tattoos (from another artist) didn't do that so I was really confused and messaged him with a genuine question. No response at all. I wouldn't even waste time or money on this place! He designed one for me based on a few ideas I gave him and it turned out beautifully! He also pierced my older daughter's ears, and they look great as well. My whole family was with me because we were here on vacation and headed back home, and he was so patient with my 3 year old. Super stand-up guy and an incredibly talented artist. We were looking for a place to get professional henna done, and after another location was closed, we were happy to find Kustom Ink open and welcoming. The shop is nice and clean, I loved all the bright colors and the floor which is completely covered in pennies. Even the bathroom was clean and painted brightly. There was only one person working there and she seemed a bit distracted during our stay. I believe the quality of the henna wasn't worth the price. I paid $60 for a design on my hand, and it didn't even last two days before completely fading away, despite me following all the henna rules. The woman who did it was super nice though, and quite funny. She had us laughing a lot! read more

I went in to get my tattoo touched up. Just the colors brightened since they had faded. You can see that it looks like a 5 year old was given some markers and did not trace nor color in the lines even close. He turned a symmetrical, with pretty blended colors tattoo into something that makes me start to cry whenever I look at it. I can't even tell you how upset I am. I can't stop crying whenever I look in the mirror. I did not move at all and I was stone sober, so it isn't like I made it difficult for him. read more

No stars. Do not recommend. It was Friday the 13th, and unexpectedly.. this place was empty. Our group of 4 walked in around 8:30 PM, and was told there were 3 people in front of us, and it'd be about an hour to two hour wait..as expected..not bad. So we picked out a tattoo from the spreadsheet, filled out our forms.. and was asked for payment up front. Payment? Before service? Odd. We were told they were $20/ea in person.. but his fb post said they were $13 The girl that was helping us, claimed that she came in for a tattoo, just like us, and was "hired" about 3 hrs prior. So we went on our way and came back about an hour later and waited 2 more hours. We were told at one point that we had to wait outside because the artist had to leave and come back.. finally realizing that once it was close to our turn... he was working on tattooing and piercing the girl that just started working there.. that had been there for 6 hours already! THIS WHOLE TIME! He finished hers, and before she left she said.. "I don't actually work here" What?? It was 11:30 PM by the time it was finally our turn.. 2/4 of us backed out.. and they told us no refunds. Even though he hadn't even touched us. That is no way to run a business. Know your times. Talk to your customers! Don't get a random girl that you just met today, tell a customer the wrong wait time and eventually cost you 2 customers. We were having a good time until we weren't.. We were there until 2:30AM waiting on the others. So we were there for roughly 6 hours. The ones that did get tattooed, are very disappointed in their pieces as well. They don't even deserve 1 star but 0 isn't an option. My girlfriend and I went in to both get a small 5 inch tattoo on our arm. Literally a 12 letter 5 inch long non detailed tattoo...they tried to tell us $169 A PIECE!!!! I was mind blown. He said their shop MINIMUM is $110. Umm no thank you. Not to mention he was extremely rude, and his employees were sleeping on the couch in the lobby. Just extremely unprofessional. Don't waste your time. read more

Nico did a great job on our impulse vacation tattoos! Her and her assistant were pleasant to deal with and were quick to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. I would definitely recommend her. Shop was clean and professional, and they gave us free ointment to put on our ink for healing. I have two larger tattoos and the places I got them just told me what to buy at Walmart, so I appreciated that as an added touch of customer service. read more

He will admit he's only been in the business for 10 years (not sure how much of that was professionally though). There are other artists on the island that have been doing it MUCH longer and have the portfolios to back it up. Cannot tell you how many people we have seen that left this shop after the employees were rude, and how many tattoos we've had to cover up at our shop that his customers were not happy with. Not to mention, the owner is constantly posting fake reviews of his own business... that is NOT the point of YELP. read more

NO NO NO. This summer on vacation, I considered getting a piercing. So just out of curiosity, I called this shop to find out pricing. The first time I called I got a "busy" tone, so I proceeded to call a few more times thinking they were on the phone with other customers. The "busy" tone kept happening. Well it turns out, they are closed on Wednesdays and that's why I got no answer. The following day, the OWNER called and left me a voice mail on my cellphone saying that I "seemed offended" that they did not answer. Very unprofessional. On top of all this, you can go to their Facebook page and see the other bad reviews and that the owner trash talks right back to his own customers. Just so unbelievable. Stay away!!! read more

On my husbands bucket list he wanted to get a portrait done of our English Mastiff. The problem is he is really picky and a perfectionist. He had been looking for over a year to find the perfect tattoo artist who was capable of doing portraits. We took a trip from Dallas to Port Aransas to look at the work of a portrait artist at Kustom Ink, to see if he would be the one to do my husbands portrait of his English Mastiff. After talking to Jeremey Anderson, owner of Kustom Ink and looking at his portrait work my husband said "you are the man to do this portrait...I trust you." Jeremey is a perfectionist similar to my husband and takes pride in his work. We were blown away by the exact likeness he captured of our dog. We were amazed by Jeremy's talent, eye for detail and his ability to create an exact image from a photograph. Jeremey is what you call a true artist. We are such a fan now... that we are trying to convince Jeremey to take a trip to Dallas/Fort Worth to do tattoo's for all my husbands employees & friends. My autistic son Dustin got a tattoo for the first time. Jeremy was very patient with him and answered all of Dustin's wife's questions. Lol he did a great job. I also got my tattoo there afterwards. My girlfriend went here to get a henna tattoo. After it peeled, it never got any darker. It was completely gone after a few days. After doing some research, we've learned this is because they used expired dye. Don't go here for a henna. It would have looked better and lasted longer if I would've done it with a damn Sharpie. I also noticed that this shop has some very questionable tattoo practices. Don't buy into their shit about the anesthetic... Wanna know why all tattoo shops don't offer an anesthetic for their tattoos? Because that's stupid and a total scam. read more

NEVER COME HERE FOR PIERCINGS!! If i could give 0 stars I would. I have many piercings so i know what to expect when it comes to getting piercings/jewelry. Came in for new jewelry and was charged $100 for 3 pieces of jewelry that were priced at $19.99! I guess the extra $40 was for the guy (who i believe to be the owner) to put the new jewelry in my ALREADY PIERCED holes. I have never been charged for a piercer to switch out new jewelry at any other shop, just the price for the new jewelry. WHAT MADE THIS WORSE WAS THAT THE GUY REPIERCED ME IN 3 PLACES THAT WERE ALREADY PIERCED AND HEALED! He did this without giving me any choice or chance to understand why he would have to do this. Just insisted if he didn't I would "lose my piercings" The jewelry I was buying was a smaller gauge than the piercings I already had and there was no reason he should've had to create a new piercing and more trauma. Any professional piercer should be able to put in new jewelry without having to completely repierce their client. I was very angry that he pierced me not once but three times without giving me any choice. On top of this he also put a C-shaped hoop in my nose the wrong way and tried to tell me that was the way it was supposed to go! I will never be coming back to this over-priced and uneducated shop ever again and i suggest nobody else does either! read more

The Henna tattoo's here are overpriced and do NOT last. We paid over $100 for a henna that washed off the same night. The owner refused to do anything to make it right for us. My Husband and I went to this place because we have been married a long time. 27 almost 28 years. My husband does not have one Tattoo and I only have three. They quoted a a price for our wedding fingers and I was so happy. The guy behind the counter said he could not do it but his boss could. Boss said wrong price. this was within 5 minutes and I said no never mind that is too much just let's forget it. Guy calls his boss and he says too bad. Not giving money back. Cops ended up being called by us and they give us a gift certificate. Not happy but oh well. Took the certificate in 2 days later and try to just buy stuff, At that point are going to have him do anything on us. Husband picks out some stuff and (being nice) person who tattoo's says NO could not use gift certificate it is only for tattoos. No where did anything say that. We are from out of town and why would we let HIM do any kind of tattoo on us. Left hanging in Port Aransas. Rest of town is gorgeous! read more
