And with pregnancy I have been so sick and the smells in my house have made me feel worse. Somehow some way Erika and her team got rid of whatever smell I was smelling. Windows, window sills, floors, surfaces, bathrooms, bedroom, behind the fridge, inside the oven were immaculate. Even little things like wiping down some items on the bathroom counter or rearranging pillows. So why not have them do my move out cleaning for me? They kept contact with me via phone not only to ask exactly what I needed, to call and confirm what I needed but to also let me know the crew was almost done at the current location, which made everything easy for meeting them. Asked them to give me an hour notice and she gave a little more than that. Well to sum up this awesome yelp.... the realtor whose clients bought my house stated that house was left in great condition (I can't say my new house was left that way). He also said that the house smelt and looked really clean. I had no worries at all on how the crew was going to do. When I first came into the house to meet them, they were already fast at work in the master bathroom ( I was late meeting them, but my favorite neighbor ran over and let them in). Spoke with them for a few minutes and went on my way to run a couple of errands. When I returned to fix a couple of things they were still hard at work. I thought ,maybe they might be standing around when I go in. Nope, they both were still hard at work and the house smelled of it. The prices for Molly maids is the standard price ( I checked around with my friends on their private cleaning people and they are the same price and they are not licensed ) so it was a no brainer! 1) Service: I had a move-in clean performed and the service was OK / could've been better…read more Two noteable items: (i) The inside of the cabinets were wiped down but I still felt some grime in one cabinet - I was able to wipe this away easily with a damp paper towel after missing it during my post-clean review of the house. (ii) The cleaner wore shoes inside the house without booties/shoe covers. I only noticed the lack of shoe covers when I came back to check on the work. 2) Payment: The process is odd but not a big deal - you have to pay the estimate in full prior to work starting. By credit card for a portion AND Zelle/Venmo for the remainder. You then get a refund later based on actual hours worked. The challenge for me came after the clean. On the day of the clean, I sent a text to Molly Maid confirming the cleaners started at 2pm and finished at 4pm. Later, instead of refunding me a portion of the payment based on 2 hours of work, Molly Maid refunded me based on 2.3 hours of work. I called Molly Maid's number to inquire and was told the cleaner's car tracker shows their car turning off at 1:50pm for arrival and on at 4:25pm for departure. I can't speak on the car itself but I do know when the cleaners called me for access and when they left. But at this point, it became a he said, she said scenario - for $45, it wasn't worth arguing and stressing about. Before this interaction, I requested and received an estimate for regular maintenance cleans. However, after this negative experience, I have reconsidered and will be looking for services elsewhere.

This is a problem, because: 1. Each time I emailed, a different person answered. Probably 20 emails over 1 week were arranged before I could get a quote and schedule cleaning. Because emails would usually arrive late at night or around 2-4AM, I guessed the emailers were located outside of the US. 2. Phone calls are not effective. Email info could easily have been conveyed in a 5-minute phone call, but when I called, the representative didn't know anything about scheduling. 3. A third-party cleaner comes to your house. This means there isn't consistency in quality. The cleaners complained that there was too much work and that it would take a 2-person team 4 hours to do the work (clean 1.5 bathrooms, put about less than 10 dishes in the dishwasher). One worker did dishes only during this time (at $40/hr, that's about $4/dish). The other cleaned the bathrooms. And of course they finished in less than 1 hour. 4. Communication with the third-party cleaner was poor. After all the time I spent emailing about what would be included, none of the details they asked about were conveyed. This was part of the time I paid for, because 1 worker called their supervisor to try to get out of doing the work.
