I went into Prestige Auto in Westport about a year ago now and purchased a BMW 4-series. I went there intent on purchasing that specific car and already had financing for it. The salesperson Jerry helped me, and even though I told them I already had financing, they still insisted on running my credit, "in case they can give me better rates." They couldn't, and when we first walked up to the car, one of the tires was completely flat. While it was being filled, Jerry walked me around the lot and told me "BMW's are very expensive" with a tone as if I shouldn't buy the car I went there for. I told him I was set on the car, we did the paperwork for the sale, and I was told I need to leave a deposit until the check cleared for the actual sale of the car. Initially, I was requested to put AT LEAST $100 down and was told it would be refunded once I picked up the car, which also took 2 weeks and I was never given info as to what was actually done on the car. I only put $50 down (thank god) because it never was actually refunded. I called a week or so after I retrieved the car, and was told "all the managers are in a meeting and that I would receive a call back." Obviously I did not or else this would be a better rated review. Now that I'm going through all my documentation, I checked the bill of sale where the $50 was NOT listed as being paid towards the car, so now I'm writing the review because that's straight stealing. I'm posting a picture of my receipt. *Side note, I walked in with my own financing so they knew the dollar amount I was approved for, and they worked it to where they used every single dollar of the loan. I understand they're in business and using every dollar, but don't tell customers they're going to receive it back when they don't, and don't pressure people into running their credit when they already have financing. If I ever receive my refund I will adjust this post accordingly.

Went over to the Westport to look at a BMW BMW had flat tires rusted rotors rusted brakes at first the sales representative told us it would be $3000 and that included all the fees and everything but once I told him things that was wrong with the car he brought it up to 4700 and then once I told him I knew sounds the car was making at that point he said that he didn't feel right selling me the car but his first conversation he told me the car was already serviced but It wasn't the car smelled like burning oil so when I told him my concerns and my bad experience, he told me to hold on and wait for the manager will come and speak to me while the manager never came out to speak to me and I just feel like what you describe in your advertisement is false and the service Isn't Good it felt like the guy was trying to con me in order to make a sale and then make madness where he kept on asking me why not go someplace else Why did I choose to come here I mean, if that's a sales strategy he needs think of a better one

If I could not put a star I would have. Completely lied to told things would be replaced and instead got a complete hack job "repair". Had my car for 2 weeks to replace the rocker panels. Instead it took them 2 weeks to screw sheet metal over the rotted rocker panels and spray painted everything. Then had it for another week because no one had their sh*t together. So they had it a total of 3 weeks before I got it. Not to mention they switch insurance and registration to the new vehicle while I was still driving the old one. A complete sh*t show and never should have gone here. Stay away if you can.

30 days after have bought the car, we had to spend $2600 in mechanical repair despite the car is still under warranty... We bought the car in July 2020 with Jeffrey. He told us the car as been checked by their mechanic and that it comes with a 60 days warranty and that if anything happens within that period we can give a call and they will fix the car. We were traveling out of state and the car started to steer right and vibration started to appear in the steering wheel. We stopped to run a diagnostic at a Acura dealer and they found that the 4 rims were bent, the 4 tires were dead, the alignment was of specs and the front stabilizer links were broken. They also found suspicious thing on the car. 3 tires from 2018 and one from 2020 (you are always suppose to change tires by pair). As well as fresh paint where the rim were bent (Maybe they have been reworked before?). We contacted Prestige auto mart to address the issue. They told us the 2020 tire and fresh paint must have been done before they bought the car and that they were not aware of it. At first we were told that the car passed inspection so they will not fix it. After arguing with them they told me it is not a safety hazard so they do not have to fix it.... Then after hours arguing with them they agree to pay for the parts and ship them to us. However they did not want to pay for labor. However, when I sent them the quote from Acura they said it is to expensive and they are not sure they can pay for it... Since then they just stop reply my phone calls. Each time I call them somebody tell me the manager is too busy and he his gonna call me back. It has been almost 2 weeks I have not heard from them. We ended up paying for the repair ourselves. $2600 in total. It was the worse experience we ever had buying a car. What is the point to buy a car with a warranty if it does not cover anything? I will not recommend this place to anyone.

I am from Boston and purchased a 2015 VW Golf TSI on March 4, 2020. While discussing pricing and financing I was asked how my credit was and I told my salesperson, Dallas, the truth, it is excellent, but, I had recently (in January 2020) been the victim of identity theft and as such, there's been many, many inquiries on my report from the thief, I've been (and still am) trying to get taken off, etc, etc. He talked to the finance manager about it and said they won't run the credit check; which was fine, so I said I would pay by cashier's check in full. Brought back check in about 45 minutes, car sold and all is good. Until I just saw my credit report and see they did in fact run the inquiry which now gave me my 11th inquiry in 3 months which I just told him I was trying to resolve! Thanks! So, 2 days later I picked up the vehicle, got it inspected and get on the highway. Driving up Route 24 to Boston I notice "EPC" on the dashboard light up. I had no idea what it meant and since I'm in a car I just picked up figured it was probably something with traction or some button I hit and the car appeared to be running fine, so didn't even think about it really. When I got home, which was about 55 mile drive in total, all highway, I noticed it took nearly a half a tank of gas and I found that to be really odd, so I refilled the gas again and then the "EPC" light actually went off. There was a factory recall on the vehicle and I made an appointment to have the Volkswagen dealership take care of it and on my drive, luckily, to the appointment, the EPC warning light came on again which means "Electronic Power Control" and an EPC warning light in a VW indicates a problem in the powertrain control system. This can be one of 17 faults, including lack of messaging between the powertrain and many systems, such as the fuel injector or air conditioning unit. It can also indicate performance control problems, defects and malfunctions of the EPC. Bottom line is it can also be deadly if not followed up on. The VW dealer fixed the recall issue and then told me the EPC light was due to what would've been a $2,000 repair job, but was covered, luckily, by some VW warranty. This repair involved, "replacing the entire turbo underboost system". Also, it needs a "piston control oil cooling valve" replacement which was estimated at another $400.00 (not under their warranty) but told me I should have no problem in having it fixed where I bought the car from since it's still under warranty. But the part which really makes me mad is when I went back online and looked for pictures of the car (most were already taken offline since car was sold), however, I stumbled upon a video of the car and what do you know? The EPC warning light happened to be on in the video!! So, they certainly knew about this before the car was sold and didn't even mention to me at all! Totally shady!! And, the oil and filter which Prestige told me had been done - was NOT done and VW dealership changed oil and filter for me as a courtesy. Unbelievable - and now I can't even get a call back from these people! Highly do NOT recommend this place for purchasing your used vehicle - deceptive and do not even return calls after the sale! Well, I understand there's a public health emergency and the dealer has been closed since the day I had this done at the VW dealer, but the website indicates you may still contact them via email, phone, Facebook, etc. I've contacted the last two Mondays about this asking if Dallas would get back to me, or if he has an email even since I can't find his anywhere on their sites, and all I receive is an auto reply about someone will contact me. It's been 2 weeks!

Me and the owner discussed the work that was going to be done to it, and he told me $400-500 to install the manifold and cat back exhaust. he also told me for it to pass inspection it needed a rear parking brake adjustment that was going to cost $165 so I told him to also do the brake adjustment to pass inspection. I got a text from owner telling me my vehicle was all set, so I went to pick it up and got hit with a $1000 bill for the work. a year later i went somewhere else for the sticker and they told me I needed a rear parking brake adjustment to get a sticker, or they would fail it. An advertised oil change for $96.95 turned into a $150.02 charge to my credit card, although the bill was $144.26. Why the difference between $96.95 and $144.26, to say nothing of the additional $5.76 charged to my credit card? 1. My car took 6 quarts of oil and they charge extra for more than 5 quarts. What car takes less than 5 quarts of oil? 2. A charge of $30 for the oil filter. Since when is an oil filter not included in the cost of an oil change? I have been driving for nearly 60 years and have had my oil changed dozens of times. Never have I been charged extra for the filter. It's part and parcel of the oil change. It's like shopping for groceries and getting charged for use of the shopping cart. 3. I have no idea why my card was charged an additional $5.76, which I didn't learn about until after I got home. Good business is built on trust. This place can't be trusted. On the other hand, if you're fond of being deceived and getting ripped off, I highly recommend Tom's Repair.
