In short, they ended up going downstairs and re-routed the sump to my sludge pit and the line became disconnected and discharged water all over my basement flooring. Jake authorized me to contact my insurance company to bring ServPro out and stated their insurance would cover it working through my insurance. I got the mess cleaned up and when I had my insurance company reach out to theirs, apparently Jake Ray & Sons had let their insurance coverage lapse. After Danielle Ray stated that they would reimburse me for the bill at approx. $500 per month until it was paid off, they refuse to make payment. Of course, I paid them for the work they did in a timely manner, but apparently they don't have the same integrity and are ignoring their commitment. So, now it's August 1st and I have to go to Sangamon County Small Claims Court to recover the amount both Jake and Danielle said they would cover. I would never, ever, recommend their services to anyone. Keep in mind, they may still be uninsured and their most recent post prior to mine was well over a year ago.

The crews that came out to do the actual work did a great job with the installation and overall I give them an A+. Actually, making my review stronger was their response to a gate that seemed a little out of alignment. I called the store to ask if someone could come by to take a look. One of the posts was in a bind and needed to be trimmed. They had a crew at my home shortly to hand dig out the post, complete the repairs and re-cement the post into place. Randy dropped by to check on the work they had completed, and all is well. Nicely done and thank you to those that did this work for us :-) Mike

I called and they stated they would give me a call back once they reviewed everything. Today I called to schedule an appointment and was asked to pay that same bill . I stated I don't mind paying if you come and turn off the boiler now since technically nothing was done that day . He stated he would remove charge and to never call them again . Yes this service is terrible and unprofessional.

The problem I have with this bill is the cost of the water heater that is listed. It is more than double the amount of what the actual cost of the same exact make and model water heater is (without a contractor's discount). Professional plumber know what water heaters cost and a professional should not charge customers more than double that amount as an "upcharge". I am happy to pay for work well done. I am not at all happy to pay double the cost materials.

I initially reached out to Knight's to have them run a new doorbell wire for a customer of ours…read morewhen a new technician damaged it. The first time I spoke with them on the phone he seemed ready and able to do the service so I passed along the customers info for them to set up a time that worked good for both parties. Similar to how I have done it for customers in Denver, CO; Abilene, TX; and Pensacola, FL. Two days later when I followed up with the customer I was informed that Knight's had never even reached out to him so I passed Knight's info to the customer so that he could call the company himself. The customer scheduled a time for yesterday 5-10-2018 to have them come over and perform the service. Knight's never showed up. Naturally the customer called me angrily this morning so I reached out to Knight's. He informed me that he was busy and that since I was from Idaho (I use my cell phone from my home state still) he would not be able to do the service. And then he hung up. I do not recommend working with this individual unless all other options are no longer available.
