Press Cafe is pretty much a place that I will always regret overlooking. But come on, I'm sure I'm not the only one! I just never thought that a cafe within a bookstore would actually pump out pretty great dishes?? I'm still bewildered by how good Press Cafe is and even more bewildered that I just found out about how good it actually is. But in retrospect, I really shouldn't have pre-judged Press Cafe just because having a place with books and food? Um, pretty much heaven over there. Actually, you don't even have to be a fan of books to visit Press Cafe. Just go there to have good, comforting food. Or you can go there if you need a place to study, to do homework, or just work. It's pretty perfect. It's inside a bookstore so you're ensured that it's going to be a pretty quiet place. But go crazy over their food! They have one of my most favorite pumpkin soups. It was perfectly balanced, not too creamy, not too thick. Their seafood pasta was pretty stellar too. The flavors were subtle but the mix of the pesto and the seafood were just great. Everything was perfectly cooked, and the key word here is balanced. You never feel like you're getting overstuffed. I definitely have to stop pre-judging restaurants. read more
