My cousin is an avid coffee lover, and can't start his day without a good cup of coffee. I gladly tagged along to grab a cup of Joe.
I fell in love the minute I walked into the place. Presko is built like those old style Filipino houses with pretty tiles, lots of beautiful wood furnishings, and decorative ironwork. The staff are friendly, and after we placed our order, we went looking for a table. I saw some tiled steps in the back which led to their back patio. Decorated with potted palms and cafe lights, it must be beautiful at night with the lights on. We sat for a moment enjoying our drinks during the early morning lull.
Interesting tidbit: the owners originally opened a fruit and veggie stand; but when things didn't work out, they opened up a coffee shop in it's place. Thanks to fate, we can now enjoy delicious coffee made from locally sourced, in-house roasted, freshly ground, coffee beans.
If I lived nearby, Presko would definitely be one of my favorite hangouts. read more
