All'Antico Vinaio has been on my lists for a while, so I was glad that I finally got to come here!…read more I came right at opening, and was second in line. Since this was my one and only chance (I think) to try this spot, me and a friend decided to split our sandwiches to try more than just one. We settled on L'INFERNO and the LA DISTRICT. The former has: porchetta, nduja, spicy eggplant, spicy zucchini, arugula -- while the latter has pancetta, pecorino cream, sun dried tomato, arugula. I had to hop on a plane for a few hours, so I wanted to pack the sandwiches for a later time -- but I had to try them FRESH. Oh boy. These sandwiches were an absolute EXPERIENCE -- the bread (which is schiacciata) was warm, pillowy, with the most amazing crust. The porchetta on the L'INFERNO was so tender and full of flavor paired with the nduja. The LA DISTRICT was a nice calm contrast, instead of strong flavors, all the elements worked as one -- and that pecorino cream was an absolute masterpiece. After I arrived, the line behind me quietly filled up quickly (it was the 10:35 AM)! As with most locations, come early if you don't want to wait. I did eat the rest of the sandwiches about 3 hrs. later but it got duller the longer it sat (as expected). It was still good though! I repeat: I was a bit skeptical because of the virality of this slot, but at lease at the UNCOMMONS, location, the hype is indeed real. Place was immaculate, service was as expected, and sandwiches were knocked out of the park!

They do have diverse menu not just about sandwiches. I had Banh Mi on my mind. It comes in three different proteins for choice. I went with the chicken. It was good. Every sandwich comes with a crisp dill pickle spear, and you can upgrade to a combo with a drink, chips, salad, or mac & cheese. The French Dip was fantastic - Swiss cheese melting into tender beef, with the au jus making every dipped bite even better. The turkey and ham was equally great, piled with fresh toppings and a house spread with an orange hue that's packed with flavor. The bread deserves its own shoutout: warm, soft inside, lightly crisp outside, and tasting like it was baked minutes ago. The staff was friendly, the shop spotless, and there were plenty of tables to sit and enjoy. And you know it's good when you're already planning your next meal while still eating the current one. I've long been a fan of the Earl of Sandwich chain, as their offerings are definitely a step above most sub restaurants and sandwich spots, and they're a welcome departure from fast food burgers. I ordered the original 1762 which features roast beef, cheddar cheese and horseradish. I made it a combo with chips and a fountain soda, for a total price of $16 and change. The price was more than fair (especially in Vegas!), the sandwich was great as always, and it really hit the spot. During dinner time, this particular location even offered hand-carved roast beef and turkey dinners, and they looked really tasty!
