Worked through email on some changes and a week later the posts were put in. We have a huge backyard and we had them do a regular picket fence along the back fence line and then a modern, horizontal fence along the street. Our patch-work fence that had repairs deferred for who knows how long by the previous owners finally knocked over in the last wind storm we had. I reached out to Farshad and received a response within a few hours. He came out the next day to give us a quote for a new fence and some other repairs we needed. He didn't push us into thinking he only has limited availability for doing the new fence/repairs and let us take some time to think about it and get other quotes. Ultimately, we ended up going with Premium Wood. The crew did a fantastic job over the span of two days. Poor experience dealing with this company and would not recommend them to anyone. Communication is a challenge and none of our requests were listened to. I have 60 total emails between myself and Farshad explaining what we wanted - and even so there were many mistakes and oversights made. The main examples include having to go over our requests 3-4 times over the phone or in person even when everything had already been discussed in an email. The fence style did not match the photo I sent of what I wanted, the type of wood was not the wood we requested, they almost forgot an entire gate even after we discussed where we wanted it (and if I hadn't been home to correct it what would have happened?) I specifically requested stainless steel nails so that they wouldn't cause black streaks (they said they would - after arguing with me that I was wrong- and they didn't after all as you can see in attached photos) they tried to overcharge me by $800 (thank goodness I caught it). In addition, they used two different size boards so that at some parts of our horizontal fence there are 1" gaps between boards and others there are 1.5" gaps. My husband noticed it right away- and when I brought it up with them they said there was no way anyone could tell and that we were making it up that it was noticeable (???). Overall very unprofessional, the fence was very expensive like a high end fence but we didn't get a high end fence (gates are already warping, etc). Very disappointed. read more

I assisted my neighbors in getting a bid from Premium Wood. After initial contact, a few days later I met with Navid and Farshad at the property. While the finished product turned out to be as promised, comment: Strongly suggest the company provide clients with a more formal, itemized quote so there is no confusion as to what the bid includes. When I met with them, I received two standard business cards, one for each neighbor, with their "quotes" written on the back of each card. I had to question them as to what the figures meant. Their reference to amounts for a "share line" were confusing. Quote did not include specific amount for "tax"; no diagram of the work to be done; where a gate would be placed; where the fence would be attached to the houses, etc.. read more

I had premium wood to install two panels next to existing fence panels. Premium wood is very responsive and the work is solid. The reason I put a 3 star here than a 5 star is I would like folks using their service to be aware that you need to stay with them while they work on the project so that you can get what you want ( than trusting them to make the best decisions). Farshad and Navid are exemplary craftsmen and professionals. We've used their fence installation services for two separate projects and have been extremely pleased both times. For the most recent job, the crew came out to give a bid the very next day after I initially contacted them. Once we agreed to move forward, they were able to fit us into their schedule for the work to begin just a few days out. On the day of the job, the crew showed up at the agreed upon time in the morning and finished everything before the end of the day. Their work is solid and built out of quality cedar wood. Many of our neighbors have gone out of their way to give us compliments on the craftsmanship of our fence. Throughout the entire process, they were pleasant, professional, and patient. I never felt pressured into making a rushed decision or "taking a shortcut" just so they could start sooner. I would definitely hire them again for any future fence needs. Update: ====== One day after the second job was finished (and paid for), we noticed that the gate from the *first* job had trouble closing. I suspect that it was accidentally bumped into by the crew during the second job's install. I contacted Farshad about this, who sent someone out to take a look within a week. Unfortunately, the only thing that person did was literally hit the latch with a rock that they grabbed from our backyard (we have a security camera that captured that footage). Needless to say, this did not fix the issue. I asked Farshad to please send someone back to actually fix it, but no hard commitment/date was given. At this point, I became frustrated with the process so I just borrowed my neighbor's tools and fixed the gate myself. This took me no more than 15 minutes. Overall, I consider my experience with Farshad and crew to still be net positive. But the service after the initial install could be better.
