I cleaned it myself but it didn't need it. Your auto chlorinator is not dissolving the tabs. It needs an evaluation. They want to charge additional fees to see if there is something wrong with it! Chlorine levels are high. WTFF? They say they vacuum every time they come out. Their vacuum is battery operated with a netted BAG! Same thing as the Polaris - it picks up leaves but sprays the dust up into the water for the filter to pick up and leaves your water cloudy (they should be using a hose that connects to the filter).

He advised me on the pool color which I love as well. He understood and gave me a firm quote. The owner Steve was also involved in making sure they understood my vision, and Steve was kind enough to invite me to his home to allay my doubts and give me design ideas for the spa and waterwall as well. The pool (Latham Astoria 14) was ordered on Mar 15th and the pool got delivered Mar 26th as promised. The dig crew (shout out to the brothers - Dustin and Josh) was fantastic. Courteous and never complaining with my demands. My lot entry is quite narrow, and Dustin handled bringing in the pool expertly. From them on, the drainage, piping and waterline tiles crew were great as well. Prompt and on time. We hired GP&A after speaking with several pool companies and chose them specifically based on their…read morereviews praising quick response times and communication. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. We did the "Green-to-Clean ($800)". It took SIX weeks. We had to repeatedly follow up because they would go ~2 weeks without showing up or communicating. When we asked, we were told there was an emergency situation, we tried to be understanding, but there was no proactive communication on their end. We decided weekly service ($250/month). After the initial clean, we signed up for weekly maintenance. Within 24-48 hours of each visit, chlorine levels would drop back to 0 ppm. GP&A's explanation was that our pool system was outdated and needed to be replaced. However, we had two separate pool inspections done when we purchased the home, plus 3-4 other pool companies assess the equipment, none of them flagged the system (installed in 2017) as a problem requiring replacement. Upsell attempts: GP&A quoted us a full system replacement (under $6,000) and then a filter replacement (~$2,200) before they said they could continue service. We decided to move on to another provider. End of service: We asked if they could continue maintaining the pool through the end of the month. Their last visit was six days before the final day of the month (image attached). The pool was visibly green and in poor condition by end of month (again they serviced it 6 days ago and it is this green; not adding enough chlorine). When we brought this up, they responded that the condition was "consistent with the unresolved filtration issue for which repairs were recommended", essentially placing responsibility on us for not purchasing their repair package. We were looking for a long-term, trustworthy pool service company. What we experienced was poor communication, inconsistent results, and recommendations that no other company has supported. I cannot recommend GP&A based on our experience.
