My husband took a shower this morning and it backed up the toilets in both bathrooms and the smell of sewer actually woke me up. I had to wait until 8am to call anyone and the first 2 I tried couldn't make it until tomorrow (I should also add that a plumber I had previously used recommended Gulf Coast to me so that is why I took the risk). They were here within 30 minutes and an hour and half later they had the problem fixed. They had to find the drains outside because I had no idea where they were, dug it up, cleaned it out, ran a camera on it and even installed something so the next plumber wouldn't have to spend the time to find it again. The price was incredible, I expected to have to pay way more. I will definitely call them first next time (although I hope there isn't a next time)!

But lately we have been getting halfassed maintenance work, an annual service we pay a hefty fee to have. They tend to show up late and do only some of what they are supposed to do (we have caught them not doing various checks and services several times). After one such service, my husband went in the attic to check what they had done and found that the reservoir tray under the unit was completely full of water... Something a good technician would have seen and addressed while there. To make matters worse, the techs get an attitude if you mention anything. Such a shame. It made me think of the situation where parents have been running a company for decades then have to retire and leave the biz to the kids who kind of... don't run it quite so well.

He came back the next day in installed a new drain clean-out plug at the front of the house. He put all of the landscape rocks back over the area where we found the plug. Chad Rutty is amazing and went far beyond what most other business owners would do. 2,000 miles away, with renters in my Groves, TX home, I called him and said my a/c was out. In the middle of a heat wave, he dropped everything and immediately went to restore air for the third time in three years. My a/c unit was original to my home, built in 1998. Rutty has kept it running for me, but we decided it was time to replace the unit rather that feeding money into a 24 year old unit. I'm still 2,000 miles away and couldn't even get a check to him. The price was about 650$. Then we asked where the leak was because it's a little ridiculous to do that without knowing where the leak was. So we got a leak detection price. $1350.00. I almost croaked. We asked them to leave and called another company. Their leak price is $100.00 and will come off the price if they do the repair. Worse part is it was for my daughter so if I wasn't there what would have happened. Last week they told her she needed a new unit. Oh and she has a service contract with them. Canceled that too. Highly unethical to try to rip of a young lady.
