Reached out to multiple movers "locally" for a very small move - 2 items, kind of heavy definitely bulky to my piling home. Robyn was great to work with on the phone, taking derails to plan and provided a pretty spot on estimate. It was the best estimate provided as they were the closest. Knowing this gig was hourly, Jason (owner) and Darryl showed up on time, loaded and secured the two items in 10 minutes and off we went. Making quick decisions Jason was very efficient and business like moving the fridge and stove up the stairs, cleaning up and ending the job. Wrote a check for a few dollars less than the estimate and that was that. I hope to never move again, but should I need to I will call on Jason. read more

We used this company a few years ago and they were nothing but professional. Apparently they are a family business going through some changes. We were PROMISED several times during the consultation from Robin that we would ABSOLUTELY NOT be late for our closing. We would have THREE movers and that they would be ON TIME. They weren't on time. They were 1.5 hours late and had two people. Numerous excuses: truck broke down, employee call out. When we asked what time they'd be done we got "some time today, we can't guarantee a time". I moved EVERYTHING from TWO sheds to their truck (minus a tool box),broke down a bed AND after the estimate moved a whole storage room of boxes to the front of the house just to make sure we weren't late for our closing. We were still an hour late and almost didn't close on our home. We HAD four dogs. We now have three. We put them in the yard and had to hurry off to the closing. I'm not blaming them for the death of our two year old dog. She had breathing issues. I can't help to think if we weren't so rushed that MAYBE she wouldn't have gone into cardiac arrest and passed away if we weren't so rushed and stressed and could have eased her into the transition. That's something we will have to live with. We got TWO phone calls at our closing that we were an hour late to. One dog got loose. Again, NOT directly their fault. We were rushed and didn't secure the lattice. The second call was that another dog was in the dog bed, next to the food, shade, and water dead. We marked all the rooms and had all the boxes marked. They were all mostly piled in the living room. Before we left I told Ron that because I had two sheds and was going to one that whatever didn't fit in the shed could be put on the porch. nOTHING was put in the shed including gas cans, a lawn mower and a 200 lb tool box. ALL were put on an enclosed screen porch. My elderly mother dropped to the ground and was holding a dog who began to smell and was in rigor mortis (78 degrees not too hot for Chihuahuas with water and shade) I pried the dog from her and helped her to her feet. The first thing I did in our new home was bury our 2 year old dog). I was told by one of the employees that they'd put one bed together and a desk. We didn't even notice it wasn't done when they left. Ron later said that I told him not to worry about it. After what I went through that was definitely a lie. He also lied the next day and said that I never told him to put anything in the shed because "I had some sorting out to do". Why would I have a 200 lb tool box put on a porch with steps when it was the ONLY thing I couldn't move out of a shed at ground level?????? When I complained to a family member, Robin she hung up on me saying Ron was her father in law and I was "Rude". Well, perhaps the fact that he spent 40 minutes of billable time in our bathroom and emerged with a stain on the back of his pants, AND sat on our furniture that we had to disinfect probably embarrassed her. Guess what? It embarrassed us and inconvenienced us as well. We got a call back from Judy, his ex wife who confirmed my opinions of Ron being shady and a liar. He overcharged us and she sent a crew which we tipped $50 each to move the things from the porch to the shed. Ron originally said he'd move just the toolbox for an additional $135. No thanks, Tool. We did tip all three workers $20 and have them all a beer. The third worker showed up as we were leaving and packed at the original house. Considering what we went through they were ALL treated well. When I complained, I was not. Don't eat food from a table willingly if you know how it gets there. I was told not to say anything bad about Ron when his so. Came out to clean up after him. I'm not a rude man, I have a right to my valid opinion of a person. I would not however intentionally speak poorly of someone's parent, unless it was the truth and it was financially necessary. I don't think it was appropriate to ask that, or infer that I would do so maliciously. For someone to ask such a thing after being treated so poorly is a kick in the teeth. The only thing Ron asked was if my elderly, emotional mother could write a check. He offered no invoice until I demanded. And I had to dispute it because he charged for 3 people all day. At that point I had to walk away and address it the next day. It was my opinion that he was intentionally taking advantage of an emotionally charged situation. I also question what time they arrived as everything was haphazardly piled in the living room and not matched up to the labeled rooms. In sum, made promises of a timeframe and number of employees not met. Unreliable trucks. Overcharged, intentionally taken advantage of and other family members found the discussion "inappropriate ". I highly recommend this moving company. Meredith came out to our house and gave us a quote to move from OKI to Lake Greenwood, SC. After we made the decision to utilize their services, I visited them a number of times to buy moving boxes, packing paper, tape etc. and Robyn was ALWAYS very helpful and answered any questions I had. Loading day Chris, Joe and Patrick came to the house and were very efficient, professional, personable, courteous, prepared (unlike my neighbor's moving company that did not even bring any tools!) and knowledgeable on how to load the truck to get the maximum amount of items in it. They unloaded us 2 days later and all of the above stills applies. This time it was just Chris and Joe so they had their work cut out for them but it seems like they just unloaded and placed/assembled all the furniture effortlessly. These guys were fabulous, funny and considerate! On time and Bill's estimate for the job was way more than actual. They're fast !!! Two guys joined the three assigned to our full truck move from 2 storage units to my new home and shazaam! Done in a poof. So happy with them, we tipped each of the 5 guys a $50 and still didn't get up to Bills estimate! Had it in the budget, so didn't hurt to be generous. Terrible. I called and scheduled help with unpacking... ALL CONFIRMED. Two days later they called and and said they did not have crew available a week out. However, they did say could reschedule for over 30 days out. What a joke. Stay away from these clowns.!!! read more

The guys that came to move me were terrific!!! My complaint with this company is that they did not estimate the cost of my move correctly. They quote you much lower than the actual final cost. I had other quotes from moving companies that I could have chosen to stay within my budget. Then I was told by the owner after it was all said & done that I should have gotten a written estimate. First time I ever heard a written estimate was available. This is not a good way to conduct a business & I will not be referring them to anyone. read more

We live in St. James in Southport and Premium Moving is the best bet in here. They moved up in a rain storm and got NOTHING wet. They got wet, but, none of our items got wet.
