My first trip from Albany to JFK a year ago was great. But last night from JFK to Albany was not that good. I was supposed to be picked up around 6 pm but driver called and said she was ready to pick up around 4. It was good except I had no time to get water or food, and barely managed to change my SIM card to talk to the driver. (Why don't they use WhatsApp which would make it easier for travelers coming from other countries?) It was very hard to find the car. Driver just said "a very big black car" at the passenger pick up. Well, there are ziklinins big black cars at JFK, and very many pick up spots. After several calls (in a very loud and busy outside environment), she finally said lane D. It's a long lane. After I ran back and forth with 2 suitcases (I am 66 and have limited vision in the dark), she said D3. Even that place had several pick up spots. Finally we left JFK close to 6 pm. There were 5 passengers, one of whom spoke very loudly throughout the ride, discussed political issues with the young student from Serbia, shared her opinions etc. I was very uncomfortable. And loud. I did my best to keep my mouth shut, as did the other two women in the van. There was no water, snacks or scheduled toilet breaks. No announcements of seat belts, bathroom breaks etc. There was a small accident (not our driver's fault and no injuries) which caused another delay, and a subsequent loooong and looooud discussion by that same very talkative woman and the young man. By then I was getting a bad headache (hunger, dehydration, jet lag, and all this noise including the driver playing the radio. She never asked if it bothered anybody. After Kingston I moved to the back of the van hoping to get away from the loud passenger and the radio but music was even louder in the back! Also the ride was very loud and bumpy there as well. When we finally stopped at the Albany airport I had another anxious moment because I did not see my backpack with all the luggage. Turned out that the you gman from Serbia grabbed it and placed it on the sidewalk. He meant well, tried to help, but imo, it was the driver:s responsibility to safeguard all the luggage. I will use this service again since there are very few choices to get to JFK, and I do travel a lot, but I wish the company takes notice of these issues and improves drivers' training. read more

I've booked a dozen or more trips with them for myself and family. Typically for international flights out of Boston. Their communication is spectacular as are their drivers. There's been scenarios where the weather has been challenging and they've taken the appropriate steps to never not be on time and to drive with care and a safety. Additionally, I've had to make changes to existing reservations multiple times... needing to also adjust my flights. In one scenario specifically it was a slight emergency for me and last minute. The team at Premier was extremely accommodating, and instilled confidence that the update was made and I'd be picked up at the new day and time. Honestly, it was so refreshing to have this accomplished quickly and seamlessly. Not to mention stress free. Whether traveling for business or with a family with little ones, I consider our area lucky to have a consistent, professional company like Premier that we can rely on. We booked a "shuttle " from Albany Airport to JFK. I was expecting a minivan or minibus. What we got was a Ford SUV which fit 4 passengers. My husband was squeezed in the middle of the backseat because the smallest passenger grabbed the front passenger seat. So, I was in the back with 2 - 6 ft 200+ lb men. To make it worse no seatbelts required. I had to dig for mine before I finally found it. Then no one was wearing a mask. I have no idea what the vaccination status is for the other 2 passengers. I wouldn't have worried if we weren't on top of each other! The driver was excellent and very nice. That's how they earned one star. Use another company to get to JFK. My friends and I hired Premiere Transportation for a recent shuttle need from the Capital Region down to JFK airport. The staff at Premiere were wonderful to work with on booking, confirmation, payment, and day-of transportation. Something noteworthy - in both situations the driver was extremely timely for picking us up in order to ensure we got to our destinations on time. International travel can be stressful and their team made it easy and enjoyable, even with the hectic nature of the JFK airport. Thanks to an awesome team for making it happen for my group! Don't do business with Premiere Transportation. My fiancee and I had our wedding canceled in April due to the COVID pandemic. We were going to use Premiere Transportation to shuttle our guests from our venue in Albany back to the hotel. When I called and tried to recoup our deposit of $300 the Vice President David Ericsen was extremely rude, flippant, and unprofessional on the phone with me. The most I could get from him was a year-long extension before our deposit would expire, and even that seemed to be like pulling teeth. I explained to Mr. Ericsen that we don't even know if we will have a wedding a year from now, due to our venue being unavailable and the ongoing pandemic. Mr. Ericsen told me my deposit was non-refundable, even considering there was a state-ordered shut-down mandated by the governor of New York (This was at the beginning of April at the peak of the COVID scare in NY). Mr. Ericsen wasn't hearing any of my concerns and became very unprofessional on the phone, even hanging up on me multiple times. I called him back and asked him to please to stop hanging up and yelling at me, and also to refund the deposit and do the right thing, I also asked him if deposits are held onto, until the date of the contract being executed, and he quipped: "I don't know, money comes in, money goes out". I tried everything here, asking Vice President Ericsen to please return our deposits, My fiancee and I are two essential workers that worked during the entire pandemic.....he didn't care. He said that he could have performed the service that night and that we were canceling, I expressed to him that it would be illegal to perform this service that night because of the state-issued shutdown, he didn't care. So I thought everyone should know what kind of business they are and some of their values. It seems their reputation is worth about $300, quite shameful. It's of note here that my venue, florist, photographer, DJ, and hotel have all graciously returned our deposits from our canceled wedding. I will be taking David Ericsen and Premiere Transportation to small claims court and filing paperwork in the next week. read more

Used this service for a ride from ALB -JFK & then JFK - ALB. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE all around. The driver on the way to JFK made fun of Asian people when pulling up to the departure gate. If that isn't bad enough, I had the displeasure of being driven back to ALB by Glenn on 5/18/17. He used the Taconic State Parkway instead of using the simpler (and faster!) route. Then when we were ~9 miles away from ALB, a passenger that was to be dropped off in Hudson, NY realized he had forgotten about her. So the remaining 6 passengers (myself included) that were traveling to ALB had to suffer through a 50-minute longer ride when Glenn diverted to Hudson instead of dropping 6 people off at ALB first. Added to that, he drove over 75 MPH in torrential rain to try to fix his horrible mistake! I felt very unsafe in the vehicle & almost got off in Hudson. And the kicker ... we finally arrive at ALB & Glenn unloads the van by essentially throwing our suitcases out of the back. My stroller was torn apart with one piece in the other lane of traffic! He just wanted to get home & treated my things like crap. Additionally, they have HUGE signs posted on the side door window saying that the tip is not included in the price! Tacky & unprofessional. Of course I didn't tip them because they don't deserve a tip. I deserve my money back & compensation for the damage to my stroller (that is now unusable). I contacted management the next day (5/19/17) & STILL haven't gotten a response or compensation for damage to my items. I even forwarded photos to them. A lady called me this week saying the VP was going to call me but it's Thursday & I'm still waiting.... I would NEVER use this service again & advise you to steer clear of this disastrous company. Somebody, give these people a crash course in customer service, please!! My airport shuttle back to Albany from JFK airport on Thursday with The Shuttle Company and (as it turns out, apparently, transferred to) Premiere Transportation was a horrible experience! Flying back from London, I had booked the shuttle service with The Shuttle Company months in advance as I had carefully deliberated I'd prefer waiting a few hours in the airport upon arrival and go directly to Albany instead of making a bus/train transfer in NYC after a strenuous international flight. Therefore, I was rather astonished when, less than 48 hours prior to my arrival in NYC, I was informed that the departure time from JFK would be "closer to 6pm", instead of 5:30pm, and that I would be going to Albany Airport instead of Rensselaer Train Station as planned (and stated on my ticket). I was met by the driver outside the JFK terminal. He seemed stressed and irritated asking me if I hadn't been informed about "what their cars look like" (apparently, I was expected to recognize the Premiere Transportation car double-parking in this busy lane). Once in the car, I realized that we were waiting for one more passenger who was stuck in customs. As I was tired and had been killing time in JFK since 11:30am, I feared a long wait and asked the driver what to expect. I was confused when he told me we had to wait until 6:30pm, as the ticket I purchased clearly states that departure is no later than 5:30pm. He mumbled something along the lines of me probably having been transferred to them from The Shuttle Company as they probably didn't have enough customers and that "they always get it wrong." They never tell their customers about this or the differing schedules the transfer entails, he said. For some reason he insisted on calling the Premiere Transportation office so that they could "explain" it to me. As soon as I was handed his phone a very annoyed man by the name of John exclaimed: "if you would just stop talking, I could explain it to you" followed by his repetition of what I had already been informed of by the driver. When I told John I was supposed to leave no later than 5:30pm - and 6pm at the latest - and had never been informed about any of this, he raised his voice and aggressively shouted: "that has nothing to do with us, do you understand that, do you!?" Shocked, I responded "yes" to which he replied "good!" At this point, I realized both transport companies are utterly unprofessional and unaware of how to treat their customers. I will definitely take my business elsewhere next time and strongly suggest you do, too. Not surprisingly, The Shuttle Company has not responded to my email about any of this. read more

We recently used Premiere Transportation for our wedding. From the start, I didn't have much confidence in them. When I told my service rep what time I need the guests to arrive at the ceremony, between 3:30 a 4:15 at the latest... and asked her what time the bus needs to pick people up at the hotels in order to get them there in time, she flipped it back on me and said "we'll, you tell me what you want, I'm not a wedding coordinator." Real nice customer service, lady. Needless to say, they screwed it up. The time she scheduled the bus to pick guests up from hotels and bring them to the ceremony did not allow enough time for my guests to board the bus and arrive to the ceremony on time. The first hotel they lingered at too long, a whopping 7 minutes according to their GPS, which was never factored into their time slot and should have been if you're a transportation company. This made the guests at the second hotel late for the wedding ceremony and they had to drive themselves there because by the time the bus got there they were already gone. When I called to complain, the manager said that for an extra $50 I could have worked with a wedding coordinator who would have advised me to put some extra time in there and get the guests there on time... and insinuated that it's in the contract so I should have know - and that the rep did say she's not a wedding coordinator, so basically this whole thing is my fault! This explains why the girl said she wasn't a wedding coordinator - but she never said she could field me to a wedding coordinator, nor did she explain to me that I had that as an option. Otherwise I would have since I clearly was a bride who wanted my guests to get there on time. Instead, premiere blamed me for not reading my contract. What kind of transportation company allows for this? Weddings should be fielded to a wedding coordinator from the beginning of the call! The upcharge of $50 is such a scam too if you ask me. Why make their clients feel like it's their fault for their terrible service! You shouldn't expect your clients to do your jobs for you. You're the transportation company. Priemier refunded is $233 on a $1400 bill. Thanks for the generosity. We will never use your service again. And if you're a bride, if you want to chance working with this company, make sure you ask for the wedding coordinator, otherwise your guests will be stranded. read more

I called Premiere Transportation to arrange a shuttle for my son's wedding a few days ago. It was short notice and they couldn't have been more accommodating. The telephone staff were helpful, the price was reasonable and they were extremely flexible. The driver was friendly, on time and stayed an hour after I had contracted them for with no extra charge. In addition, the vehicle-an "executive van" appeared to be brand new, clean, shiny, impressive. All the way around, excellent, excellent service. read more

I highly recommend Premiere, as they have provided my friends and I top notch limo transportation over the years in relation to concerts and special events, and have provided us excellent shuttle service to the major New York airports. We have use them for several trips to JFK for international travel, and the shuttles are spacious and clean and comfortable and the drivers are friendly and very accommodating. Very disappointed. Booked a trip from Newark to Albany. Was not told until the ride started that we'd be GOING TO JFK FIRST, adding hours in rush-hour traffic to the trip. If we had been told that the trip would go through JFK, we'd have taken another option. Manager said he'd refund my money, but frankly, I'd rather pay an extra 60 bucks not to be forced to sit in NYC traffic for an extra two hours. read more

Our driving Teddy was great! They picked us up way out in the middle of no where for my brother bachelor party in the limo van and took us around Saratoga for the night. Premiere Transportation transported 60 guests from Hudson to Hillsdale for my wedding. They did an excellent job all around. They were easy to communicate with before and during the booking process. They were on time to pick up and drop off guests, and they got everyone home safely at the end of the night. Highly recommend using them for group transportation! read more

Absolutely do not use this service. The driver of the party bus had the driving skill of a 16 year old constantly slamming on the breaks when stopping at lights and stop signs. It was so bad one of my friend fell down extremely hard on the walk way. The driver told us not to clean up the party bus we rented and said it would be fine as is. A few days after I received a charge for a 500 dollar cleaning fee. I then called and eventually talked to the Vice President of the company, as soon as he answered he started screaming at me like I was a child. I quickly corrected the guy and told him he would be unprofessional when talking to me. I had previously used this company 3 or 4 times in the past with no problem but they will never get my business again. read more

Because we needed so many vehicles (two shuttles, vans, cars-- we had a ton of guests!), we were worried that something would get lost in the shuffle. Premiere was so helpful throughout the entire process and on the wedding day, our drivers were friendly and on time. I had the pleasure of being picked up at JFK to Saratoga Springs by Rafael. He was courteous, friendly and always made sure the car was comfortable for me. My international flight arrived on time, but getting trough passport control took over an hour. Rafael was waiting for me when I got through the gate. I will always use Premiere! read more

A friend suggested this service as an alternate to flying to JFK. Yes, it was cheaper than a flight. The service was awful and unsafe. The pickup in Albany was great but that was the only good thing. On our way to JFK, the driver missed the exit to pickup another passenger. #1 driving safety infraction - the driver did a u turn on the thruway with 9 passengers on board. He made a decision with our lives that could have been catastrophic. The service continued to JFK. When passengers were dropped of at a terminal, the vehicle had to leave the airport and renter to drop off at the next terminal. This is not Premier's fault but you should be informed. The service returning to Albany was also dangerous. #2 driving safety infraction - the driver drove 85-90 mph and weaved in and out of lanes. We do not recommend this service. Our lives are worth more than saving $300. FYI on arriving in JFK, you must wait outside the gates where travelers pick up transportation. Seats are limited and so are food choices. we go frequently to and from newark airport, and were looking for something cheaper, and where you don't have to change in nyc. the first time i called they were all booked up, but this time we were able to reserve by phone (online didn't work) and they called back more than once to confirm in person. this bus goes from albany to the airports; we wanted the kingston stop. it was sixty bucks, and since there was only one passenger he got picked up in a chrysler 300. the driver was actually in livery! next time it might be full, or it might be a real bus, but this was definitely a five star experience. alternatively, all you can really do is get a ride from someone. my guess is it's busier at the weekend. the driver picked up two people going back to albany from newark. don't know if they might have canceled on us otherwise; we have gotten canceled on at the last minute by other local taxis to the airport. just because it's expensive doesn't mean it's not unreliable, smelly, crazy, uncomfortable, or dangerous. if you take this service, be aware you might want to carry some extra cash in case you get lucky with the limo and want to tip the driver. read more

We hired this service for my son's wedding in Saratoga. They were terrific. The bus was on time (early) and made several trips between the hotel in Saratoga and the reception at Saratoga National. We also hired a limo for the wedding party. Both the drivers were professional and easy to work with throughout the day! We would highly recommend this service. I got to JFK after traveling for 24 hours. I waited for an hour and a half for the shuttle to Albany, which was not a problem since we picked up the last passenger at 6:30pm, and knew that the shuttle was scheduled to leave at 6:30pm. However, when the 7th passenger got on the shuttle at 6:30pm, the driver then chose to tell us that he had to go to Newark Airport to pick up someone. This was during rush hour and I knew it would take us an additional 2 hours to get home; making the trip a total of 5.5 hours from JFK to Albany. The driver told me, that he had known all along that he would have to go to Newark Airport to get an additional passenger who had been waiting there since 11am that morning. If I had been told sooner, I would have gotten off the shuttle and taken the Amtrak home. I also don't know why Premier didn't ask this driver to pick up the passenger at Newark during the day before the 6:30pm pick up time at JFK. They knew she was waiting there all day. I feel that this is not a good way to run a business. Seven passengers were inconvenienced for one person and were not given another option to travel a different way home. I called the office to discuss this and got nowhere. I will not be using this service again. read more
