I subsequently called back, asking difficult questions about an unusual insurance situation, wherein the windshield broke while I had comprehensive coverage but I since (foolishly) canceled the coverage. Tom seemed to have complete mastery of how to handle this and everything worked out great. Both Tom and the installer who did the work seemed very, very experienced and answered all my questions with a great deal of precision. I highly recommend.

The first couple of times, I was told or given the impression that someone would be coming out, but eventually they stopped responding altogether. What's most frustrating is that they knew the windshield was leaking every time it rained, yet weeks went by without anyone coming to fix the issue or even responding to my messages. I gave them plenty of time and multiple opportunities to make it right before leaving this review. I would have been completely satisfied if they had simply followed through and fixed the leak.

When asked for them to take a look and fix the large gap, the technician came out and stated there is nothing he can do to fix the gap and blame on the hot Florida heat and having a dashcam wire running along the headboard cause the headliner board to sag. This full of crap because there was no gap before the windshield replaced by them. Now the dashcam wire would fall down with a little bump. I would not recommend this company to replace your cracked windshield. This is not the first time I had my windshield replaced but from different company, never have a large gap like this. Do not let this company replace your windshield. I would give them a 0 but 1 is the lowest. Not happy!

Glass America (AKA: Gerber Glass & Collision) install a new PGW windshield on my Mazda 6 on July…read more11, 2016. I noticed a cloudiness/haze on this glass which distorts your view which is very annoying to say the least. I called Glass America a few days later & they agreed to replace the windshield. On July 28, 2016 the windshield was replaced. At the time the windshield is sitting on the holding rack it seems fine but after I began to drive again, this windshield had the same cloudiness/haze. I am very disappointed in this glass. I was told by the 2nd installer that my windshield replacement was an after market brand & any of the brands would be the same. He said there is a solar liner that is placed between the 2 layers of glass that make up the windshield. I did some research online which said that PGW is one of the best brands which is difficult to believe. I read elsewhere online that others who've had PGW windshields have the same issue. I guess I am stuck with this awfully distorted windshield from Glass America who is owned by Gerber Glass & Collision. The 2nd installer told me that they would only replace the windshield once. They put you in an awful spot at the time without many options. Beware of this company & especially PGW windshields. Gerber does not know much about the quality of their products in my opinion.
