I subsequently called back, asking difficult questions about an unusual insurance situation, wherein the windshield broke while I had comprehensive coverage but I since (foolishly) canceled the coverage. Tom seemed to have complete mastery of how to handle this and everything worked out great. Both Tom and the installer who did the work seemed very, very experienced and answered all my questions with a great deal of precision. I highly recommend.

The first couple of times, I was told or given the impression that someone would be coming out, but eventually they stopped responding altogether. I gave them plenty of time and multiple opportunities to make it right before leaving this review. I would have been completely satisfied if they had simply followed through and fixed the leak.

Unfortunately the mounts were broken and the replacement part was just under $100.00 plus the fact the part only came in primer grey. So added to the cost of painting and the cost of installation I was looking at around the $400.00. The owner of the body shop went into his office and handed be a business card for Rite Touch glass as he thought they could offer a much cheaper solution. Boy did they! After arriving I was met by a very sweet lady who took my part back into their shop. Soon after I was introduced to Dan who went out and looked at my truck and said I'll be right back. When he came back he had some cleaners and a caulking type tube. He cleaned the area where the part went then put some of the caulking on and pressed the part snuggly into place. He said if my process can hold a car's windshield in place it will surely hold your trim piece in. Then Dan shook my hand and said NO CHARGE! What a great company and great people! They will have my business from now on!

Glass America (AKA: Gerber Glass & Collision) install a new PGW windshield on my Mazda 6 on July…read more11, 2016. I noticed a cloudiness/haze on this glass which distorts your view which is very annoying to say the least. I called Glass America a few days later & they agreed to replace the windshield. On July 28, 2016 the windshield was replaced. At the time the windshield is sitting on the holding rack it seems fine but after I began to drive again, this windshield had the same cloudiness/haze. I am very disappointed in this glass. I was told by the 2nd installer that my windshield replacement was an after market brand & any of the brands would be the same. He said there is a solar liner that is placed between the 2 layers of glass that make up the windshield. I did some research online which said that PGW is one of the best brands which is difficult to believe. I read elsewhere online that others who've had PGW windshields have the same issue. I guess I am stuck with this awfully distorted windshield from Glass America who is owned by Gerber Glass & Collision. The 2nd installer told me that they would only replace the windshield once. They put you in an awful spot at the time without many options. Beware of this company & especially PGW windshields. Gerber does not know much about the quality of their products in my opinion.
