They made sure that I was comfortable in the setting, that all of my needs were taken care of, and then I felt sure about the diagnosis and where to go from there. I 1000% recommend this place to anyone who needs urgent care services. I could go on, but I think you get the point. I will add, when I left, it had started to get dark and there was a parking lot security officer who made sure I even got to my car safely. I had water on the knee, swelling and discomfort. The doctor refused to treat me without my consent to an ultrasound for which they want to charge me a total of $1250! basically telling me i can accept that or leave without any treatment and wasting my time and money on the consultation. i wrote on the initial paper work that it was water on the knee which i expected to go and pay a couple hundred dollars for maybe a prescription to help that problem. Instead I got slammed by a doctor who is so fearful that she will be liable for something that she has absolutely no consideration for my actual well being on the whole, which does include my financial well being. forcing me to accept the ultrasound or not be treated because of her fears that i could have a blood clot in the leg, of which i had no other indications or symptoms of other than the swelling. i had already informed them fluid on the knee was the problem, and was then confirmed by the ultra expensive ultrasound which i did not need! so to sum it up, this is the problem with healthcare in america. I wanted to go in fully expecting to pay a reasonable price for what i needed done, but once i was in the patient room, i was held hostage and forced to agree to services i did not need, because of a doctor that refuses to consider anything but her own fears. guess i should just go to the emergency room next time.

I told…read morethe nurse practitioner that I was short of breath, had a cough, low fever, fatigue, loss of taste and smell. She told me I had a virus to go home. No tests were needed. I asked if she could order a chest X-ray and if I could get tested for covid-19 - or at least the flu. I tried to tell her I had recently took a flight to Miami, Florida to see family - but she cut me off, saying: my symptoms were not consistent with covid-19 & that she was not going to "waste a test on me". My husband and I were stunned at her response! She made me feel as if I was "acting" or "seeking attention". It was a HORRIBLE experience! The worst one I have ever had - To feel that sick & be treated so poorly by a medical professional. It's not right!!! In the end, she did order a chest X-ray, but did not do any other tests. She smugly told me that the x-ray was clear, "as she knew it would be". I went to work the next few days - I'm a high school teacher. Four days later my husband had to rush me to the hospital b/c I could not breath. I tested positive for influenza A, influenza B, Epstein Barr - & COVID-19! I was sent to Houston and hospitalized immediately. My husband had to contact the school. By God's grace, none of my students tested positive for covid-19. Hindsight is 20/20. I should have questioned her... gone to Beaumont for another opinion. But I trusted her b/c she is a medical professional! I've debated writing this review. I live in Mauriceville. My children have grown up here & I love my small town. My PCP is in Orange, my dentist in Vidor. So I did not want to cause problems. However, the lady that treated me should be aware that she was dead wrong & that her negligence could have caused an unimaginable amount of repercussions!! I could have died, leaving my husband and children alone. I could have infected all of my 157 students. I could have infected my family, friends... So many things could have happened. If she was tired, she should have gone home! It is my hope that the correct people read this review & that steps are taken so that this situation NEVER happens again!!!
