Captain Kevin is knowledgeable of the lake and known how to throw a party for adults but he also proved to be a baby whispered (saved a meltdown). The boat itself is everything you could ask for spacious, the most comfortable boat seats I've ever sat on, top deck, a slide, and clean large bathroom! Captain Bill is one of those people who instantly makes you feel comfortable. He's genuinely kind, funny, easy to talk to, and somehow knew exactly what our group needed to make the day so much fun. My boss rented a boat just like this for a corporate event and it was a huge hit! Tips: Fishing poles are provided but let them know about fishing in advance so the best bait can be supplied. There's an emergency bathroom on the boat but a better bathroom to use is at the marina and he's able to make stops. Let him know before you get on if you want to swim and he'll take you to a great swimming spot. I use a floaty in the water because I get nervous and it was fine. The boat fits comfortably four adult guests and five if one guest is a child. The boat ride was quite relaxing. We stayed in the river and only ventured into Saco Bay once Captain Joe determined it was going to be a comfortable for everyone.

The crew knows the areas where the whales feed, and when they see the spout or breach or any indication of whale activity, the boat can quickly go to them. The seats were not super comfortable but it's the price you pay for an authentic experience. The tables were surprisingly large. The train was very warm but felt better once we got moving. I recommend getting seats that are odd numbers because you'll be closer to the lake. The train goes down and back but does not turn around so if you get the lake side you'll get it on the way out and back. Also if you get table 1 you'll be served first!

I checked the tour online videos, and I still wasn't sure where this is taking us, but I didn't realize until we were riding the railroad what it was all about. All I can say, is it was unforgettable, it was beautiful, and it was something I would do again when it is Summer, even Winter when it is covered with winter wonderland!
