The receptionist are all very kind and greet me every time. The office is nice and clean. The doctor is see (Dr. Houston) was very quick with my care and explained things to me very well. The only downside is that the parking is not free and getting out of the lot is a little difficult. read more

Excellent practice-great doctors; on time and efficient office. I've been with this practice for many years and have never been disappointed. I always feel cared for and well treated or referred as needed. Cannot recommend more highly. All or almost all female staff. read more

Been going here 18 years. Top-notch practice. Dr. Sexton is the best, and the rest of the staff is great, too.

I have been a patient for 20 years, since the practice was founded. I cannot get a physical exam with any physician or PA in less that 3 months, and for a preferred provider 6 months. I have given feedback but no action or change. The doctors themselves are good, but the practice management has deteriorated, so I recommend another provider who can actually see you in a timely manor. read more

Another satisfied patient. For abot a decade I have been getting first rate care from a group practice in Arlington. As time passes there is a flow of caregivers but Dr. Kong has gotten to be my Doctor. She and the staff here have become my conscience about weight and need for staying active I hear them in the background. They have helped with information about vaccinations and concerns with other medical needs and it has helped me continue working at my hobbies and some level of employment. Wellness is my main need at this point. Recommend this facility. read more

If I could give this practice negative stars I would. I had a terrible ordeal regarding my 5 month old. After my husband noticed her head shape looked off, we asked the doctor to take a look at her wellness check-up. She agreed it looked a little off and wrote us a referral to Cranial Technologies. At our apt with Cranial Technologies we were informed our daughter was in the "severe" category for needing treatment and next steps were for our primary care doctor (Dr. Gebremariam) to sign a prescription validation form so we could proceed. I called the office for two days straight pleading with them to please have the doctor sign the form and that this was a severe case. After leaving message after message, I was contacted by the Dr. Gebremariam's medical nurse who proceeded to raise her voice and tell me I was calling the office too much and that the doctor would sign the form when she was ready. When I tried to explain the severity of the situation she then cut me off repeatedly and raised her voice. At the end of the call I said thank you, and she hung up on me. The next day I received a message through the portal from Dr. Gebremariam to please treat the staff with respect. I was floored. Not only had the form not yet been completed, she hadn't thought to ask what my point of view was from this interaction. We have since moved our daughter to a new pediatrician. I called the office the next day asking to speak to someone (an office manager, or anyone who would hear me out) was told someone would call me back, and big surprise, they never did. This is a medical practice where you are a drop in their bucket. Especially if you have little ones, I can't recommend this practice less. read more

I used to really love this office (Nicole Sibley, Allison Broadbent specifically, who I really got to know and felt like they were involved, and a regular, supportive part of my physical and mental health), but they're not there anymore). So, there has been some turnover- and I'm sure this is normal. (some of the doctors and PA's shown in the photo here haven't worked there for a long time, they should update the picture). Sylvia and Celia are great receptionists, always willing to try and find a time for me to come in and making me feel cared-about on the phone, and always very personable. Everyone else is pretty dismissive and I probably haven't gotten so much as a smile back from any of them, but they are at least mostly, familiar faces from visit to visit. If you call early enough they can usually schedule you same-day, so that's a bonus. For me as a teacher, when I get sick I like to be able to rule out strep throat right away (it's always going around at school!) so I generally play it safe and go in just in case. I felt like it could be strep so I made an appt with whoever was available. I was also pregnant so there wasn't much I could take over the counter to help other than Tylenol and I was feeling super crummy. I saw their newest practitioner, Dr Lyles (who is a D.O. - I had to look it up, this means Dr of Osteopathic (bone) Medicine). She determined I had a throat infection and an ear infection and when I told her the Tylenol I had been taking wasn't helping much, she tried to talk me out of even taking the Tylenol my O.B. approved, because of my pregnancy, saying I really shouldn't even take that if I can avoid it. She prescribed an antibiotic for the infections but convinced me to try "not to take them for as long as possible" since I'm pregnant. She even suggested I shouldn't be taking my regular low-dose allergy meds I've taken for years. Several days went by and my ear infection turned into a serious earache problem and I had to go to Urgent Care, on the day of my baby shower with a bunch of family in town, no less. The urgent care, nor my O.B. could believe a doctor had pregnancy-shamed me from taking Tylenol, my allergy meds and the antibiotics I needed, and they said how it could have become more dangerous for me/the baby that I didn't take the antibiotics. I guess all doctors have their specialties and this wasn't hers, but I'm not sure why a Doctor or Ostepathic Medicine is telling a pregnant woman with an ear/throat infection not to take the infection medicine or the Tylenol and Zyrtec her OB approved. Honestly the doctors at PPC have all been nice and personable in the appointments, but over the years they started using a tablet in every appointment to look up illnesses/conditions and treatments right in front of you, (I'm sure there's some medical apps they use on their tablets, but one doctor was absolutely pulling up information and suggestions from her internet browser, and I feel like I can play Dr Google with similar results at home.) They use a "patient portal" website to share a synopsis of your visit/treatment and allow you to ask questions but some doctors (who aren't there anymore) were just great at communicating, and others hardly write anything at all, let alone write back if you message them with a question. Kind of defeats having this at all. As long as I don't need regular appointments or a specialist this place is good enough for the flu shot and my yearly cold/cough. I did move a bit farther away which is incentive to look for another practice in the future, especially if I need more than the occasional check-in. Just FYI it costs $2 to park in this building's lot and I believe the machine takes only credit card. read more

I went to this office for 8 years and had misgivings from the first visit, but I am changing doctors because I cannot deal with this place anymore. 1) The doctors and the front desk do not talk to one another, so if your doctor tells you to schedule an appointment for something, they have no idea if they have availability. You might not get in for a needed visit for many weeks. Their available hours are also quite short (about 8-3) and they do not take walk-ins (and this was pre-coronavirus). 2) The PA Alison Broadbent does not talk to the doctors if she does not know how to treat your condition; she uses Google and otherwise refers you to a specialist by saying "You should see someone about that." No mention of what kind of specialist, just move you along. I followed her advice and the specialist I saw marveled that my "regular doctor" could not treat my very simple problem. 3) I don't know if it's all the doctors or the office culture, but if you are 40 or older, Dr. Benchoff is quick to write off any problem you have as age-related and not worth addressing. I got the impression that she thinks people turn 40 and just immediately fall apart (and she is well over 40 and should know better). If you have new pain, or new digestive issues, or new allergies, nope, you're old now and a woman, so get used to it. 4) All of the doctors I have seen appear to be phoning it in with regard to treating you. They listen, commiserate, then don't really offer any solutions and show you to the payment desk. And they get verbally annoyed if you go to Urgent Care or the ER for a serious problem. Apparently you should be waiting weeks to see them instead of dealing with your life-threatening issue right now. I would not go to this place for anything more complicated than a flu shot, and you can go to a Minute Clinic for cheaper for that. read more

Used to love this place and my whole family saw Dr. Stanford for years. Then in the last 4 years or so, doctors are leaving like crazy - what is going on? After being passed around between 4-5 different doctors because they kept resigning, we were finally feeling like we've landed a good one with Dr. Engel; but guess what? She just sent a farewell letter too!!! Sadly, I think we are done with this place. Will have to look elsewhere which is a pain the butt! read more

I have been coming to this office for about 4 years now. I have seen Sibley, Sexton, and Benchoff, but have settled on Benchoff as my primary physician. I have nothing but good things to say about this office. The front desk staff has been super helpful every time, and since my first few visits years ago, they have somewhat streamlined the process for checking in. I fill out most of my forms online and only have to check for any information that has changed each visit. The wait times can vary a little; I have waited 5-30 minutes to see the doctor. This isn't such a big deal for me, as I usually schedule a decent chunk of my day for my annual exam. I also understand that sometimes patients can take longer to see, and I wouldn't want them rushing me if I were in that situation. All the doctors I've seen have been great. I chose Benchoff as my main, mostly due to her specializations and my own issues, but all of the doctors are super friendly and thorough. Benchoff addresses all of my concerns each time, and always makes sure I understand everything. Overall, I feel like the office is very efficient, while still giving quality care to its patients. read more

When a person loses trust in their Dr. it is over. I went to this place for over 3 years. My old Dr. left to start a family. In 2019 I was due for my annual but because of a recent surgery taking a while to heal we could not do my PAP and oof her check ups. Their prices aree low and Doctors are nice, front desk could use some work staying organized or ensuring info is saved, but what drove me away was charging my 2nd half of my annual. I was cool with that, as the Dr asked me to come back to finish it. Not cool. Looking for a new doctor now. More like 2.5 stars read more

The thing that really conflicts with my feelings about this practice is not the doctors (every single doctor I have seen has had wonderful bedside manner, make sure to ask if you have any concerns, and take time to listen to you), but the front desk. As a front desk person for a dental practice myself previously, I understand that there are a lot of cranky patients on the other side of the phone, but I think that I receive unnecessary attitude on times I have had to schedule appointments. I went in for a check-up and my doctor called to schedule a follow-up; she told me that the front desk should contact me. After a week went by, I ended up contacting the front desk twice, and both times I had to get corrected for my pronunciation of the procedure. I think for any person without deep medical knowledge, a lot of procedure names would be difficult to pronounce. And on top of it, I've gotten harassing calls from collection agencies about an overdue bill from them for over a year, when in reality I moved around the time of my appointment and the office never called to resolve this issue with me. One quick phone call to my insurance solved the issue right away, but as a front desk assistant in the dental practice, we always had difficult phone calls with patients about following up on overdue bills before submitting to a collections agency. That being said, I really do enjoy the doctors that I've seen - each one has been very dedicated, with good bedside manner. But not sure if the front end of this office makes me want to come back. read more

I have had nothing but issues with his doctors office they are very unprofessional they are very rude if I need anything done or paperwork submitted from this office I always have to end up going to the office the day that it needs to be submitted to get it completed it's never filled out right the people who answer the phone are very rude the office manager himself is very unprofessional I would never recommend this place to anyone especially if you have an ongoing illness that would need attention immediately they do not get back to you within 24 to 48 hours it's just all around a bad place to go read more

The person who answers the phone is clueless. I was searching of PPC locally and thought it would be a great fit until the person who picked up the phone is incompetent. She couldn't answer a simple question if they took UHC or what availabilities were open. I gave one star because they wouldn't let me put anything lower. By far this is the worst place I've ever tried to receive service. I can only hope and pray that their doctors have no clue how rude, disrespectful and condescending their staff is - including the so called administrator. Today I had what was supposed to be my first appt there. I called the day before because I was in SEVERE pain and needed to see a doctor, they were nearby and a friend recommended them. When I called to make an appointment I waited on hold for 17 minutes (the clock on my cell phone told me so) and quipped to my office mate, "I could have made it to the ER by now!" I was told that I had to wait 24 hours for an appointment - so they scheduled me for the following day. Today, I left my house on time however I locked my keys in my house. After retrieving keys and getting in my car, I called 411 to get the number for the office to let them know that I was running late. The first number that is listed for their office with 411 is no longer in service. So I dialed 411 again and got the second number. Again, the phone was answered with a "PPC let me put you on hold" and there I was on hold. Again -- clocked it, this time 7 minutes on hold -- I thought, wouldn't it be funny if I showed up still on hold? I let the receptionist know that I was late and would be appx 5 mins late from the time I called. she asked which doctor I was to see, and said, "that'll be fine." (now I'd heard that these folks were nazis about their rules so I felt relieved and thought that everyone who had written nasty reviews were just grumblers). I got lost and stuck at a redlight heading to the office and arrived at 10:55. To get in their building you have to get through a pay parking booth, and sign in in the lobby and wait for the elevator. This probably added 1.5-2 mins to my time. I signed in and said how grateful I was that they'd told me I could still have my appt when I called on the phone. And that I had found their paperwork on line and filled it out before arriving (taking away the time that most doctor's office seem to build in for just that purpose). Receptionist said, "I don't think you'll be able to have this appointment." At this time I went a little nutty. I was in extreme pain (after spending the entire day at the ER I know now that the pain was not in my head and will likely have surgery to correct the problem). and snapped that I'd been told I could have the appointment. The girl who answered the phone came from the back with a smug grin and said, "I told you could be 5 minutes late and you called at 10:49," I pointed out that 10:49 was one minute prior to 5 minutes late and if she'd meant I couldn't arrive after 10:50 she should have said so. I also pointed out that I had called and been on hold for 7 minutes -- just to tell them I was going to be late. At this point I was crying, the Office Administrator came out to tell me that Dr. Park already had another client (now it's 11:00) I asked if that meant that Dr. Park only intended to spend 5-maybe 10 minutes with me in the first place? She simply stared at me and said something like, "she'd spend the time she needed." WTF?! IF she already had a client in her examining room at 11 (when I'd been there in the office for 5 minutes) and they hadn't expected me to come with my paperwork, and I was a new client meaning they'd need to collect insurance and payment information before letting me into the examining room -- the doctor REALLY expected to see me in fewer than 5 minutes according to what I was hearing. The office administrator stated that they would let me fill out paperwork in the examining room -- I asked the other patients in the waiting room if that had been their experience, and no one reacted so who knows if this is the one enlightened place on the planet that doesn't care if you have paperwork completed -- including insurance -- before seeing you. I explained that a) I wasn't normally irrational, but I was in excruciating pain, and b) I had stated that when I tried to make the appointment the day prior. And I had reiterated when I called to alert them to my being late. She stared me (office manager) and said, "we can make an appointment for you tomorrow." This woman is clearly being a gatekeeper and trying to teach patients (CUSTOMERS) a lesson by putting us in our place. It was rude, disrespectful and downright lousy service. I asked to speak to a physician because my experience has been that most private practice physicians would want to know the level of their customer's distress, pain and frustration if their staff is treating customers that way! They would not let me see a physician. I drove myself to the ER - where I spent 8 hours and have finally reached a diagnosis. Certainly, had I seen a doctor, they would have sent me to the hospital given my situation. Bottom line: bedside manner sucks. read more

This is a review based solely on my recent phone call. Typically I frown upon reviews based on one interaction with a business, but I am hoping that doctors/staff at PPCP read this review and consider making changes to the way they operate. For weeks I have been researching med-peds physicians in the area because we are moving from Hawaii to Alexandria this summer. My family and I don't know anyone in the area so we've really got to do a lot of homework in order to pick a doctor that we feel comfortable with. Here in Hawaii we see a med-peds physician and we were looking for someone who would be able to see both myself and my son. Dr. Stanford is med-peds certified so I was looking forward to meeting her since there are VERY few in the area. I just called the office of PPCP to schedule an "interview" or "meet and greet" with Dr. Standford. The receptionist wasn't very friendly at all. When I explained that I'd like to schedule a first time visit to meet Dr. Stanford I was told "we don't do that". I was a little confused because every other doctor that I've ever been to has allowed me to meet them and talk prior to a sick visit. Once again I just clarified and explained my situation, but it was obvious that the practice really does NOT allow for first time meetings prior to an actual sick visit. I think this is very unfortunate. It is so important for both the patient and doctor to get to know each other, if only a little bit, in order to truly get to know each other, their styles of practicing medicine, and expectations of the physician and patient--this is a REAL benefit to everyone involved. I suppose the practice is inundated with patients and perhaps they really don't have the time to meet. If that is the case then it's not a practice I want to involve the health and wellbeing of myself or my son. It is really a bummer because I think ped-peds physicians truly have an upper hand in terms of knowledge and experience. Hopefully someone with some clout at the office will read my heartfelt review and offer to make changes so that incoming patients feel more comfortable. read more

I agree with the post by Lynn W. I had to get my appointment 6 weeks out. When I arrived at my appointment, no one was friendly or courteous except the woman who took my blood at the end. I sat on the exam table in my "gown" for a full 35 minutes before the doctor came in. I had no idea if anyone even knew I was in there. Dr. Park had no bedside manner; she was was coarse and seemed annoyed with my questions and answers to her questions. It got the job done but I wouldn't go back or recommend this place. Update: Also, they did not send all of my test results and I had to call into get them. Grr. read more

I stopped going to this practice over 3 years ago (however the drs I saw remain there - not sure about the nursing and office staff). It was very difficult to get an appointment and my referrals were frequently not correctly made - or made at all - without extensive, pro-active follow-up from me. Over the course of going here (and the previous medical offices where some of these Drs practiced) I was mis-diagnosed on a number of occasions. All I can say is THANK GOD the specialists I went to for follow up got it right and either corrected the diagnosis or sent me to the proper person to be treated for it. (Nothing like having someone go "what did she say was wrong with you again?" Does not give you the warm fuzzies.) I also had my insurance billed for someone else's treatments. Again - thank god I paid attention to my mail and responded right away to the notice from my insurance company that they were not covering these procedures. I can only imagine a. what would have happened to my credit rating (since the billing is tied to my SSN) if I hadn't and they were flagged for non-payment; or b. my insurance just paid the bill and my own actual insurance benefits and records affected accordingly. I finally decided I'd had enough, and have since found a difference primary care physician with whom I am very happy - both with his services, and those of the office in general. read more

All around horrible experience. I went for my annual physical and the doctor I saw didn't care about my concerns at all. I'm high risk for colon cancer and she didn't care to listen to my family history or offer advice on screening timelines. I also asked about alternatives to anxiety medications and her solution was to increase my dosage (which she did without my consent). The people at the front desk are rude and not helpful and the billing office has submitted a claim to my insurance incorrectly twice now and the bill came a full year later. read more

Pretty bad experience. Almost 2 years ago looked up dr. Shwartz and decided she'll be my doctor. I called and tried to get for an emergency and they asked me to go to urgent care which I did.. Next time same thing. The one after the same, but there was I screamed and said I'm calling on a monday, just give me any appointment this WEEK.. After I fight I got in on Thursday that week and saw another Dr. I had to call in 3 days In a row after that to ask for my X-ray results, they say they'd call back and never do. I'm currently sitting alone in the examining room waiting for Dr.Sexton. My appointment was at 1:30 and it is currently 1:59. I have been examined my her medical assistant, and have been waiting for over 15 mins for Dr. Sexton. I just inquired how much longer it will be until Dr. sexton will be able to examine me and was told that she is currently with another patient. What I don't understand is that it's nearly 30 mins into my appointment time and she is still with another patient. After finally meeting with Dr. Sexton for all of 3 minutes, she put me on a nebulizer and disappeared again. I'm once again sitting alone in the examining room waiting for the Dr. As she tends to other patients. This is ridiculous, if she would just focus on one patient at a time she could get each one out of the door as opposed to making us wait while she bounces from 2-3 rooms at a time. I'm not sure if ill return back to this office, I don't have that much time to sit around waiting. Update: I had to return for a follow up because the medication I was prescribed did nothing. Once again I'm waiting alone in the examining room for Dr. Sexton, this time it's been nearly 25 mins. I really don't understand her lack of time management. She should really scale down her patient volume, if she can not find time for every patient. I'm sure she will be rushed again and only examine me for 3 mins again and leave without answering a single question. Definitely not returning to her as a patient! read more

I finally found a "grown up" doctor! After ignoring regular doctor visits since I graduated from college, I realized that I needed to utilize all my health insurance dollars. One of my coworkers recommended this place, and I finally made an appointment. I believe there are four women doctors at this place, which made it understandable that I was sharing the waiting room with a bunch of young women like myself. I made an appointment with Dr. Kong, and I can honestly say I have never felt so comfortable with a physician before. She made me feel at ease and listened to my requests with respect and courtesy. She answered all my questions and made sure I understood what she was talking about. She was very down to earth, and I am very happy I found her. For you metro riders, they do have a shuttle that picks you up from the Ballston metro. More details are available at their website above. If you still haven't found a regular doctor, stop wasting away your insurance and make an appointment here! I'm very glad I did. read more

My husband and our new baby all have the same doctor at this practice. We've seen all of the doctors and here's my take. Kong: A little cold for my taste. She's very smart and thinks very quickly, but isn't good at communication the hows and whys to me- I need someone to be more down to earth with me. Park: Nothing but praise. She's taken my 3AM calls (new mom stuff) and is very reassuring and quite competent. Gorrelick: Liked her, but can't recall much else. Stanford: I LOVE this doctor. I'm a researcher and I also am the type of person who will look up the actual study that has the media writing, "Blank can kill you!" and getting frightened because I understand that I'm the demographic they're talking about. Stanford is up to date on every new study, drug, treatment and all things pediatric as well. She knows her stuff and has a wonderful bedside manner and earns my highest praise. I updated this to say that there is now nearly NO WAITING!!! My original review says "Now, the waits here can be 30 minutes or longer. The reception staff is overworked and can seem short, but they're not unfriendly. They're busy trying to help. I rate them a 4.25 overall." In the 9 months since I posted that review, not once did we have to wait more than 10 minutes to be meeting with our doctor! The staff still rocks, and all else is the same. I bumped my review up a star! read more

Dr. G is my first "real" doctor out of college, and I love her! She makes me feel so comfortable, she's in-tune with what's going on in my life every time I stop by, but she's still firm and I feel like she sincerely cares about me (as a doctor should). The staff can be a bit up and down; sometimes they're extremely helpful, and sometimes they sound like they're in the twilight zone. I haven't had a bad experience, though, and although I moved to D.C., I still make the trip out to Arlington to see Dr. G. read more

Our favorite doctor (Dr. Benchoff) left the practice. The nice receptionist was replaced by a rude one. It now takes months to schedule a physical. It's worse of a wait if you want you favorite physicians (Dr. Kong, Dr. Saxton). We have been going to this practice for 20 years, and sadly we are seeing the quality of the care going down hill quickly. The latest visit was the worst experience I have ever had with PPCP. The new doctor Gebremariam, discounted my complaints of abdominal pain that woke me at night. She ordered labs and the lab came back with abnormal results. However she didn't call to follow up to discuss the results. I called the office 2 days after I saw the results posted in the patient portal (on a Friday) to ask the reception to have the doctor call me back. I was told that the doctor was on vacation, and that if I wanted to discuss my results, I would need to schedule an appointment with her. The same day I made the call, I was admitted into the ER for the same pain that I complained about. It turned out that there was an 8mm kidney store lodged by the entrance of my bladder and the ER told me to make an emergency appointment with an urologist on Monday. I called on Monday to cancel my consultation appointment with Gebremaniam, the rude receptionist told me that I would be charged with a same day cancelation fee. I have never had to chase down the doctor to discuss abnormal lab results, and then be told that I needed a separate appointment. And then being charged for a cancelation fee because I had to see a specialist instead. We really love Dr. Kong and Dr. Saxton. It's just sad to see that the practice getting a bad reputation due to the quality of care provided by new staff. I will be seeking a new primary physicians group. read more

I've been a patient of Pemier Primary Care for about a year now. After moving to the area I found it difficult to find a good GP. I typically see Dr. Gorrelick who is top notch. She's extremely thorough and answers all questions in a direct and friendly manner. You never feel like you're imposing or that you're stupid for asking a question. She also knows when to refer a patient to a specialist as opposed to continually attempting to treat in-house. Some of the problems Melissa C and DeAnna S have brought up are legitimate. There are long wait times for things that are routine or benign, but if you have an urgent issue, you can always get in the same day. The wait time in office is ridiculously long. It can take anywhere from an 45 minutes to an hour and a half once you arrive, on time, for your appointment until you actually see the doctor. In my case, I'm willing to put up with the long waits for the quality of service. read more

Feedback for scheduling only. I called to schedule an appointment. Front desk wasn't just rude but downright disrespectful. They aren't accepting new patients despite the fact my healthcare provider said they were and their website indicated similar. Told me to call back in the fall and "maybe" they would be accepting new patients. I would have gladly scheduled something for the fall now and just waited but I wasn't given that option. I am looking for a wellness exam and to build a relationship with a doctor instead of always going to urgent care or minute clinic. I also asked if they had any recommendations of places that might be in the area since many doctors are well networked. A very cold NO we aren't accepting new patients followed by a BYE. I agree with Ekaterina G. I had a pre-op physical with Dr. Park and while she lacked any bedside manner, I decided to schedule an annual physical with her. Unfortunately I arrived 11 minutes late due to a broken gate to enter their parking lot. I signed in, sat down, then was called up to fill out paperwork, I was then told that they need to check with Dr. Park to see if she'll take me because they have a 10 minute grace period. That was something I was not aware of when I made the appointment, was not told during the reminder call, and is not noted on their website. After waiting almost 45 minutes I was informed that I could not be seen and could be rescheduled for that same afternoon. I had taken a half day of PTO (which as most everyone is aware, is extremely precious) and work in Maryland, so that was not an option. The receptionist looked at me with a blank stare. I told her that I would change my PCP and would not be returning to that office. I strongly recommend not choosing Premier Primary Care Physicians, particularly Dr. Park, as your doctor. read more

When I first moved into the area, I needed a primary care doctor so I went here. In some ways I appreciate that they have medical students at their practice, but I also think it slows everything down becase you have to explain yourself twice. Office staff is frustrating and it's difficult to make an appointment. I like that it's a family practice so it's not all geriatrics like other adult primary care docs seem to be. You either have to wait weeks to months to see a doctor, or call the day before for an "urgent" appointment. Mental health is never considered urgent to their practice, so good luck with that. A few times I had legitimate concerns that were brushed aside, and I left feeling frustrated and ridiculous--you wait forever for a 5 minute appointment and don't get taken seriously. Dr. Sexton is a good doctor, however I can tell that the practice is strained by the amount of patients they have and I often felt rushed and hurried along. You have to pay for private lot parking and it's not validated. I guess I've come to expect that with the DC metro area, but validation would be nice. I just wasn't feeling like my issues were being addressed here, so I switched to Dr. Gorrelick in Arlington and have been pleased with the General Internal Medicine group so far--I'd more highly recommend GIMG if you're looking for a primary care doc! read more

I have known the physicians here for well over 10 years, and I never miss an opportunity to recommend them. They are knowledgeable, caring, and I trust them. I prefer to see female physicians for my healthcare, and I have never felt rushed or dismissed during an appointment. They have proactively embraced e-Rx and EMRs. My primary physician is Dr. Sexton, but I am comfortable being seen by one of her colleagues. Running a private practice is NOT an easy thing to do given declining reimbursements from payers and increased unfunded mandates. Primary care often gets the short end of the stick. The physicians here do not run an assembly line practice but they are efficient. The availability of same-day appointments is rare and a wonderful benefit for their patients. If you are looking for a physician who is in practice with a genuine desire to care for others, who knows what they are doing and will give you top-notch care, this is the place to go. read more

I had to go for a follow-up visit and I got clarification that actually saw Dr. Park during my first visit NOT Dr. Saxon. I did meet Dr. Saxon during my second visit and she was very nice and personable. read more

Hello????! Telling a patient their medical emergency is not a medical emergency on the on call line is NOT the way to treat a patient going through a crisis. Whoever answered the phone was so rude with her tone too. I am so severely offended right now. read more

I've always had excellent experiences with Premier Primary Care, and particularly Dr. Kong. I've been a patient of theirs for probably 10 years now. They've always been kind, accommodating and attentive. And I was inspired to provide this review after one of the office staff helped me get through to my gastroenterologist in a completely unaffiliated office after I had been unsuccessfully trying to reach that office for literally months. I really appreciate the extra effort to help me. (I am not providing a similar review for the gastroenterologist.) read more

My PCP is Dr. Stanford and she and her staff take a true interest in my entire well being. I have had no problems getting same day appointments. It does take some time to get the "annual" things scheduled. I think that happens as they try to leave open same day appointments. Dr. Stanford really cares and works with me through my health issues. I have also found the front desk staff and nurses to be personable and helpful. The referrals I have received have been perfect for ME. When I need a referral Dr. Stanford gives me several options but highlights the person or group she would see. Every single time that I have gone to Dr. Stanford's recommended doctor I am extremely pleased with their practice. On a few occasions Dr. Stanford or her staff has called in a favor to get me seen by a specialist or test done the same day. I feel like the entire staff is as invested in my health as I am. I also like that they have a lab onsite. The lab is equally professional and they do a great job of drawing blood with limited (if any) pain. I would highly recommend Dr. Stanford to any friends or family. She truly cares about me and my health. read more

My kids and I have Dr. Stanford as our primary care provider - we've been really happy with the care and office support. The kids like her even though they don't like getting shots! There are toys in the waiting room. They can almost always fit us in at the last minute when someone gets sick. I especially appreciate that Dr. Stanford is calm and grounded and doesn't overreact to parenting worries. We've also been happy seeing Dr. Benchoff. My least favorite thing about the practice is just having to pay for parking ($2.50/hr). read more

Overall, "ok" practice for Arlington. (I used to live in Loudoun county and medical offices there just seemed to be so much more updated, not sure why they are mostly poor-looking as you get closer to DC...). I went for a general check up and to get some prescription for motion sickness patches. What I LOVED about Dr. Stafford is that she gave me tons of "non-medical" advices that I could follow to help with my motion sickness. I prefer traditional medicine over any pill. Ended up using over the counter pill together with some apple chewing and ginger sucking, and it worked like magic. read more
