Just completed the second pool Wesley, Scott, and crew at Premier Pools Mandeville built for us. We live in Gonzales. Fantastic pool once again. The crews were all first class and did great work. This one took a little longer due to weather, but was still finished as soon as possible. Pricing was reasonable once again and any and all concerns were addressed easily. This is our 3rd pool over the last 33 years. And again 2nd by Premier. Sometimes building pools can be stressful for the homeowner. Dont use this company. A story of highs and lows. I suggest that anyone thinking about using this company beware. The folks at Premiere are nice(Tara, Benjamin, and Scott are very nice), but my experience is subpar at best. While we had many issues, Let me list out the major problems I have wiht this company. Also, I look forward to the owner, Wesley's response, and I've seen how he has responded to disappointed customers in the past. 1. Coping - During construction, my coping was installed terribly. We have a large travertine deck and coping, which we specifically called out to ensure that the transition from the coping to the deck was fully seamless. During the step of picking out the decking, they even showed us pools they completed with the larger format coping. We have a free-form-shaped pool with 12x12 and 16x16 travertine decks surrounding it. The contractor the PB used to cut small 3 and 4-inch pie-shaped pieces that were uneven in shape, AND the gaps between the coping were not even close to consistent. When we informed them, they said that's how they do their pools. I pulled out my contract that specifically calls for 12x12 coping. I showed them pics from their website that contradicted their statements. They spent over a month sending me pictures and asking me to view other complete pools. None were satisfied with what we contracted for or expected. They eventually made it right, but we lost 2 months during this process of going back and forth. They offered an upgraded tile pattern and other concessions, but we wanted what we contracted for and expected. 2. Panel-Our pool and the additional features are more than your average pool. We have an automated firepit, pool lights, landscaping lights, and a spa. When we designed the pool with them, they were quite aware of what we wanted. They informed me that they would do an amendment to the contract for the lighting. They didn't tell me that the panel that was part of my contract couldn't handle all the different automation. They sent people out at least 6 times to get it all working. Finally, Wesley came out. I asked what the issue was and why people kept coming out. After a lot of discussion, he told me the panel could only handle 4 inputs. There were other chips that could handle more, but I didn't have it. I lost it. I explained that he and his company were the experts. I trusted that they would provide the proper equipment to handle what I had. Eventually, he swapped out the chip at no charge, but why did it take me questioning what was going on for him to admit that I didn't have the proper equipment to handle what I had? 3. Pump- My pump continues to not properly fill the canister with water and I always have air in the line. I reported this at the pool opening, and it's still happening as of today. Again, multiple trips out, even had the Jandy rep out last week. He said that the air in the line was acceptable to him from a pump function perspective and that we would have to live with the air in the line and bubbles coming out of the jets. Today, I returned from a work trip to find that my cleaner wasn't working and that the pump canister was empty, but my pump was still running. I called the office, and they gave me a 1-800 call to Jandy. By the way, I just called the number, and they said someone would call me back in an hour. This person will not know my pool or what we've been doing. To say I'm disappointed in my experience would be a huge understatement. There are many other small issues, but this review would be a book if I listed them all. I just stuck with these 3 are they are significant problems. I was hoping Jandy or someone would call and survey me and ask if I would recommend this company to anyone. My answer is a definitive NO. I also make sure tell anyone who asks, not to use this company. It's a shame because the folks there try, but it's evident that the company's focus is to install your pool, move on to the next, and, when you have an issue, push you off to an 1800 number. read more

My overall experience with premier pools & spas was great. Tara and Matt were excellent in their professionalism and very pleasant to talk to. They We're efficient and addressed all of my concerns in a timely manner. The pool was constructed in the time frame provided. NO POOL BOSS HERE!! Keep looking for another company. Horrid service, NO COMMUNICATION, NEGLEGENCE, UNPROFESSIONAL, UNTIMELY. THE OWNER, YELLED AT ME AND HUNG UP ME. I called to asked if we should continue to pour gunite if washing machine and toilet water was shooting out. They cut drainage lines, pipes and most of which was not obvious....didnt say a thing. We paid thousands of dollars to SEARCH and repair cut lines. Don't sign that contract!!! Have your attorney to review and revise it. Its meant to only protect them. Add timelines and a schedule of firm dates. Add that what they SAY..VERBALLY...IS BINDING. Add...that they will mark and notify you of any and all lines cut and removed IMMEDIATELY. DONT WANNA DISCOVER BLUE TOILET WATER PUDDLES IN YOUR YARD LIKE WE DID. I can only communicate with Judy as Westly is clearly unstable and needs a vacation and some help. She tries her best but the end of the line is Westly. I have never been treated so poorly when all I expect or ask for is for them to be pool professionals. Sitting at about day 75... We went 30 days with no action after gunite. We had to call and look for them. So now we are at an impasse. No satisfaction...no pay. Look at the sides of our pool and tell me would you be satisfied. Here's another update one year later. Still disappointed. The company that they hired to do the tiling completely messed up and use the wrong cement so they had to come out and redo it. Then when they came out and redid it they left a bunch of mess all over our water feature. Benjamin came out, to clean it, and yes he tried very hard and the best that he could. About a month after the pool was done our light switch that had an automatic light and timer went out. Benjamin came out and And literally put an indoor light switch to turn on our pool light. Here we are a year later and we still have the generic indoor light switch to turn our pool light on and off. Our pavers, they did a horrible job. The pavers are loose, and they are not very good quality whatsoever. If you want to pool, do not use this pool company. Please do your research, and do whatever you can to avoid this place at all cost. read more

They built us a beautiful pool but getting them to respond to emails, calls, or follow up on issues is basically impossible. I have had requests into them for the last 5 months to come and address issues. I have reached out to their office manager Judy as well as the owner Wesley at least 10 times with zero action on their part. Literally the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Worst customer service I have ever encountered! Owner actually cursed me on the phone when I asked for a date on installing that was already 5 months behind in schedule. It also took one year to build my pool. They will take your money and treat you rude and lie to you about when they are coming out. Go someplace else and have less stress and grief! read more

PSA: If you or anyone you know is ever in the market to have a swimming pool installed, DO NOT use Premier Pools & Spas - New Orleans ! We were warned against using them by a neighbor but went ahead with them anyway & boy do we regret it! They are the most unprofessional, rude & unreliable company I have ever come into contact with! Every single phase of our project has been a fight to get things done. We were told 2-4 weeks for permits & then construction would take 6-8 weeks. They didn't submit the proper paperwork required for permitting, so that ended up taking 5 weeks & we didn't even hear from them when the permit was approved. We found out days later when the placard showed up on our porch from the parish! Then they made us wait 2 wks after that to even dig the pool! Construction was supposed to take 8 weeks. Here we are sitting at week THIRTEEN with an incomplete pool, botched concrete job (rough, rugged edges, unstraight lines & orange/black stains all over) & they are refusing to finish the pool until we PREPAY the final payment with no guarantee in writing that they will resolve the issues with the concrete deck. They are claiming to be within their contracted time frame due to rain days, yet we have documented 4 weeks where PPS NOLA did ZERO work at our project & these were weeks where there was little to no rain!! How can they ethically do this?! They have jerked us around, lied about scheduling and been downright disrespectful and rude to us. We will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. I pray NOONE has to ever go through what we have with this company. If I could give 0 stars I would!! Please please please look around & get a company that people recommend. This was the worst company I could have ever dealt with. I spent close to 100k on my pool so I would think I would have gotten better customer service but NO! They are consistent with getting their payments but good luck getting in touch with anyone once you've paid. I'm STILL waiting on all my equipment manuals and the pool has been done about 6 months. I've contacted 2 pool service companies to start a cleaning service & neither one of them had anything good to say about them. Do yourself a favor & do your homework. read more

Terrible communication throughout the whole process. Our Super was never on site as was promised at the signing of our contract. There were many mistakes made and our pool doesn't match the blueprints we signed off on with both size and layout. When I called to get the owner to come out to talk to me about our pool and concerns we had, he refused to call me back. Stay far away from this company! read more

We are 7 months into our still incomplete pool project. The lack of communication skills are unbelievable. To have someone from PP speak directly to the customer is unthinkable. It appears the only communication with the owner is text message. And even with texting, good luck with a response. We are very disappointed with this pool contractor.
