Absolutely HORRIBLE Customer service. We had this place install a chlorinator for the winter , and…read moresince installation, the filer stopped working. When trying to schedule service, 1st they won't come out past 4pm M-F, and no Saturday's at all, 2nd, there would be a service charge to come out and when offered to pay more for their tech to come out a time we are home, and the answer was: "If the cable company tells you a 2 hr window, you make time to be there". And I said "The cable company has weekend hours". (And evening hours if I think about it, tho i didn't say that!) At that point i was told "good luck finding a pool place to help in the winter". And this was the owner I spoke to. There are better places to give your business too that care about their Customers.

Unfortunately, I am reviewing this negatively. The company is not honest they were charging as a…read more$180 more, then the actual pull motor cost, which to me, is greedy. They're prices to install, are also greedy $350? No. Unfortunately, I have to call it as I see it, I have run a business of my own and I have never seen someone flounder to lie to me as Jackie did. . Regarding cost, I was told by both Erin and Jackie, " Do I know what it costs for them to insure their woirkers for workers comp and insurance" and for warranties? Telling me if I want to use some guy off the street, then go ahead. I'm like I am using a legitimate business. Not a guy off the street, the way they talk to people is totally disrespectful. I saw another review where they told the person. Good luck finding someone to work on your pool. In the winter, this is the way they talk to people like they talk down to you and that's wrong. It's ridiculous They're passing their costs on to you is the bottom line and she said, what do you think we should be charging? I said, I think that if you were going a hundred dollars over what it costs for something that would be the limit you had to be greedy, that's what I think.I will never give my blessing to someone using this company. They actually did that to us once before. My pool was green. I hired them to come and put the their " secret blend of chemicals, they said in it" . It ended up costing us over $400. Our pool, by the way, is the size of an oversized in ground jacuzzi that is how small it is. The man was here, literally for fifteen minutes.I should have known then not to use them again. Do yourself a favor and look for another company. What's interesting is the next company that we called on Friday afternoon in the 11th hour. It was 5 p m literally said to us, don't tell me Perfect pools. And you spoke to Erin, I was like, oh my God, I did speak to Jackie, he said either one. Unfortunately, that's the way they run their business. They are crooks, so just look into another another company for yourself, because that is not a legitimate way to do business. We would have paid an extra $300-400 to get the motor for our pool. The company that we spoke to is doing it for half of what they were charging us. Of course they made sure to keep the fee of over $135 to come out to the house. We figured they do that, but I'd rather do that than pay them $750. All I can say is, do your homework. Look up model numbers and make sure that you are not getting overcharged. The company that we're using is buying the motor and charging us with the motor cost, and then they're making their commission off of their labor charge which is half of what PP were going to charge. They're absolutely over the top and beyond. What can improve them..Actually being honest and not over charging their customers. Perfect pools- not so Perfect.

Hayward wouldn't honor the warranty because the heater failed due to excessive chemicals . We paid another company to diagnose heater and problem was confirmed. Hosea has a very charismatic personality but has done nothing but blatantly lie to us numerous times over the past 4 months . He told us he convinced Hayward to send a new heater . Hosea told us more than once he was on the way to our house with the heater . He sent pictures of his gps and arrival time . He sent pictures that he would be late due to his truck's tire issue. Continuously making excuses while saying he has the heater . Hayward sales rep since confirmed he has NOT sent a heater! Now Hosea is ignoring my calls. We also reached out to co owner, Viren Patel, who quickly responded he would get in touch with Hosea and find out about the heater . Unfortunately, the only response I heard was Hosea will contact you . We allowed Hosea to service our pool for years . We supported and encouraged him when he first started his business . We allowed him to use our pool for his commercial. We are out thousands of dollars and extremely disappointed that this has not been resolved .

He agreed to pay another company to fix the damage his company caused then write them a bad check. Left me with cut pipes, swamp like pool, and 30k cost to repair! The address of his "business " was a vape shop (now vacated with a bakery next door ) , he had no proper business license and ignores all attempts to rectify situation informally. Don't get taken in; do your research and go elsewhere for pool service.

The Aqua Doctor LLC…read more Highly Recommended! Noto Bene! Pool owners --- this review is important to you if your pool cavity has collapsed and requires repair. If you're a pool owner and live in the low country area of South Carolina and Coastal Georgia, you may discover the walls of your pool cavity in a state of collapse one day in the future. Telltale signs of a disintegrating pool cavity are torn liners with protrusions from the side walls or clumps appearing under the liner. The causes of this condition can be many, but generally, heavy underground water flows that stem from rain, a presence near a body of water, or other conditions could cause fissures in your pool cavity. The Bad News Here's the bad news -- very few pool service companies in the low country area can fix these problems using in-house talent. They'll contract out the work and charge you big bucks for repairs if they take on such a job. How can you identify these "regular" pool service companies? Just look for the "fancy" pool service stores with the slick brochures inside and sparkling full-window or standup placard ad boards on the outside. These companies will install liners and balance the water in your pool, and that's their primary "expertise." They'll sell you anything and everything related to pool usage: rafts, floats, game setups, chemicals, spas, and more. What most of them cannot do is repair a collapsed pool cavity. The Good News The good news is there is a specialist in the low country area who does only pool cavity repairs. Per his testimony, he's the guy the pool service companies call for training or to whom they contract out work. He's Mickey Snelling -- the Aqua Doctor LLC. This company is an all-American small business run by a veteran who cares about quality work for a fair price. Why call your local pool service company when you can cut out the middleman and call the expert who does nothing but pool cavity repairs? If you call your pool service company and they take the job, they'll add on their markup and may hire the Aqua Doctor to do the work anyway. If and when your pool cavity needs repair, you'll want the job done right. Doing a job right the first time and every time is the Aqua Doctors specialty. If you hire your local pool service company it's likely you'll get the cheapest per hour worker they can find do to the job with little regard for the cost and quality of work to you. I speak from experience. I hired a local area pool service company to install a new liner in my pool. They saw the pool cavity walls' protrusions and then incorrectly measured my pool by reversing the shallow and deep end measurements BEFORE ordering the liner. I didn't know about this liner mismeasurement until later when I hired the Aqua Doctor. The Pool service company charged $2440.00 for a liner that cost $950 from the manufacturer. They later claimed the markups were necessary to offset the cost of insuring their work and the liner (the latter was already warranted by the manufacturer: Tara). The pool service company pulled out the old torn liner, noted the state of the collapsed pool cavity walls again, and emptied the pool to prepare to install the new liner. They then complained they could not fix the cavity as the composition of my pool (an 1990's era vinyl and particulate wall type) was not in line with their skill sets! Ironic, isn't it --- when they knew at the time of measurement the pool walls were in a collapsed state? Their solution? Install the new liner to hold what was left of the pool cavity and charge us the total price of $3900+ for work not done! Then, it would be up to us to hire a separate contractor to fix the cavity for thousands of dollars! I refused to pay the total amount. The matter is subject to litigation at the moment. Recommendation: Avoid the middleman and the hassle of dealing with incompetent, greedy pool service companies and their markups as they send you their oft-times less than competent hourly rate workers. Call or Email the Aqua Doctor directly. You'll get the job done right for a fair price. But be prepared to wait in line: the demand for his work is unending.
